  1. I have one of those old ones. I'm really depressed though. There are green spots on it, and dirt that won't come out... and worst of all, two corner studs are chipped off! Luckily, I don't give a damn about having a giant Lego ocean. Though I bet I'll be getting a couple sometime this year now that they're making a new one.
  2. I remember the day I got this set. It was a fresh sunny morning in 2002... over the summer. I still have the minifig and converted the mutant zombie snake whale alien thing into a regular monster, just by taking off all of the tech gear and making the tip of the tail a black tail thing. I've got to say this was the most random set I ever, and will ever have owned. I love it! Great review! PS: Unfortunately, i have absolutely no idea whatsoever as to what happened to my other 3 underwater alpha team sets. I find bits and pieces of the big base lying around sometimes, and I know that most of the red hands that I use to replace the black gloves on the Royal Guards come from these minifigs, but all in all, I can't find more than the cockpit of those yellow subs.
  3. As am I... which is why I brought this topic up 4 months ago... I guess if people still want to talk about it, then I'm fine.
  4. Thanks for the picture, but I personally don't need it at all, since I was in ToysRus yesterday and they had two shelves of the set! I didn't buy any because I was busy buying technic sets though...
  5. Thanks for the help! I've got a couple of new questions! 1. Will a six wheeler with four in the back motorized, and two steerable but non-powered in the front turn well? As in, the back wheels are pushed by a motor, and the front are loose moving, but the axle is connected to an M-motor facing down, so it can turn the axle left and right? 2. Are there any wheel sizes that match up with the ones from the Off Roader and the Dirt Bike? Thanks!
  6. I never even thought they would have printed the cockpits. It's a lot like the old Exo-Force sets, just covered in stickers... everywhere! Luckily, these stickers are way to big to fall off, unlike the Stealth Hunter.... I think the biggest hint that it's all stickers, just for a point, is that on the front there's a little red marking near the light. It's actually there in the movie, but it's too insignificant to actually be printed on. The hands on Kit really should be green. I know those digital pictures tend to be wrong, especially the ones on Amazon. They could be pilot's gloves, but Lego didn't skimp out on Yoda's hands, so maybe they'll put effort into a less common Jedi.
  7. Your "bit of fun" would be a giant year-long project for me. I wish I had the pieces to do that. I've got every one of those pieces, but not in that quantity! Maybe I should do some more bulk BL-ing. Great job! I desire your ability!
  8. Thanks for the answers! I don't want it to go fast at all, I just want it to move and steer by my control, with working lights, and not die every two minutes. I don't know where I'm going to go with the suspension, seeing as I don't understand anything about U and CV joints, I just want it to be bouncy. Seeing as I'm not a complex or technical guy, I think I'll go my way with trial and error once the rest of my PF order has shipped. As long as all of the electronics work, I'm more than fine.
  9. If my PF experiment this winter goes well, I'm gonna buy these up in a snap! Edit: Especially the E-motor!
  10. I wish I hadn't taken apart my shrieking shack now. I think I'm going to go make something holiday-ish too! Thanks for the inspiration!
  11. Star Wars didn't apply. Well, maybe this was the first good time they didn't have the new star wars stuff in. I just bought a boatload of technic though, and got it all well with this deal! If you want to know why I got all of that technic, you could head on over to that forum and try answering my question while your at it.
  12. Right, but on the contrary light bley is much more mass produced and used, therefore cheaper. But I think it should be sand green in the end. The only thing I'm for sure on is that the cockpits aren't printed. We can see the set is covered in stickers, but necessary nonetheless.
  13. Here's the list: 1. Can the regular battery box power 1. The lights 2. Two M-motors 3. A switch and 4. an IR receiver all at the same time? 2. How does the IR remote work with the receiver and motors? Do you just hook the receiver to the battery box, and the motors to the receiver, and then it works? 3. How many things in general can the battery box power? 4. How do you get wheels with suspension, for example the ones in 8297, to work with a motor? Thanks!
  14. Wow! That's awesome! I love the crashed shuttle, but the thing that most get's me is the inside of the base! It reminds me of... a base! The outside looks a little too similar to the bunker which I see you took the parts from... but after all of the other stuff put in there, I love it! My favorite part is the hangar! I hope this gets frontpaged!
  15. Two things of note: The picture of the two pilots with different torsos and Kit with green hands are about 3 months older than the ones Forcemaster gave us, so don't get too happy. Also, there is absolutely no chance that the cockpits are printed from what I can see. The back two are slightly different, and more importantly, the set is CW. Little kids don't care about stickers or printed. And finally, don't expect pics of the CTT for a long while... It's coming out in the summer!
  16. Welcome... back? I like your latest MOC! I'm going to find some of the old ones people talk about!
  17. So will you start laughing when you turn around to see the SWAT team or something standing behind you? I kind of find it funny, as it's all a situational thing, but now I'll be cautious not to continue with that blunt-firing Lego gun I had in mind...
  18. AT-AT pilot. And in my personal opinion, it looks much better on the AT-AT pilot. That would be awesome! I kind of doubt it, but if it were a two-piece helmet I'd have to get one!
  19. That's one of the greatest Castle PF combination's I've ever seen! Not only is the MOC amazingly detailed and awesome on it's own, but it's also motorized! I can't wait to open my PF set for the holidays!
  20. That's completely irrelevant to what you quoted. Anyway, just calm down a little. Lego always get's there stuff in to ToysRus by Christmas. Why they don't have them widespread by now, I have no idea, so they are losing a little money, but you'll be able to get what you want. Just keep an eye out, the everything comes to Shop@home within a week or two of each other over the holidays, so even if Star Wars come out the very last possible day, it still will come out.
  21. So now it is completely officially final. The ARC is ROTS. The Defender has nothing new to offer at all, except the minifigures, it seems.
  22. Teen fan of lego, kid fan of lego. The capes are always the same, but after a lot of use and a lot of years, they get like this. Someone posted how to repair them with this gel... but I can't find it.
  23. If nobody realizes, that picture is older than the other ones. So, they probably fixed the spelling of Kit and changed the astro droids name by now. @Jar Jar: Those are new heads, non CW, but not the same as the old Jango...
  24. Well I made a really good landspeeder a few months ago. I never shared it because my photography always brings the MOC down. I might try one of these.. I could really go an Xmasify a set real well... but I kind of don't want to buy anything new or ruin anything old.
  25. I saw this months ago, and I wanted to meet the creator! I've got to say, what a fantastic MOC! The rocks underneath, the classic bar with a space twist, and the detail! Keep on working! EDIT: Nice job on the retro space cruiser and bike!
