  1. Not sure what state you are in, but Carindale (QLD) had 2 or 3 of these yesterday afternoon. I'm sure they are back up to $250 - so you might as well buy from LEGO shop@home and get the free Christmas truck kit.
  2. Sorry - my market watching is hopeless, should have looked at the prices. I'm thinking the 79012 was $60 and the Lakehouse was $80 (but that doesn't seem right). Apologies for a totally frustrating post. I think I took no notice of pricing, as I'm trying to not buy these kits !!!
  3. It was 79012 kit - the Elven battle pack kit.
  4. I saw two Hobbit sets at Target (Mt Gravatt - Brisbane) today. They were the Lakehouse and the Desolation of Smaug. They also had the Ninjago kits in stock too.
  5. And Toys R Us still have this at $99, though not sure when this goes through to.
  6. Dragonau - thanks for your detailed posts of late. I'd love to see the shop for me blitzes listed here. Cheers
  7. Thanks as always for the assistance. Decided to order the kits I was after straight from Myer. Extra 10% off / MyerOne points / free delivery and I didn't have to go near a store. How good is that!! Also helps sticking to a budget and not buying way too much :) Great prices on the kits once you deduct the 10%. Though I can see myself drifting up to the retail store before the weekend's out ... maybe :) Enjoy the sales everyone.
  8. Great build. Compact yet heaps of detail inside the rooms. My young boys were impressed and are now asking "when can we buy that one Dad!!" Thanks for sharing.
  9. Not sure if anyone is still bothering with fishpond.coma but they've got a nice little scam going with Superman kits. Their site has 76002 listed with the image to 76003. I saw this the other day and jumped at it given its listed at $30 or so. Now I realise they will be mailing out 76002 and not 76003 - I looked at the image and not the kit number and description. Not sure I'l have any recourse - so might as well cancel the order. Can't believe I fell for this with these scumbags !!
  10. Phenomenal !! Awesome dedication to a full size MOC - y haven't skimped in any respect. Well done and thanks for sharing.
  11. Thanks for the heads up - just got a couple. This is cheaper than I paid in the US for this kit (those US sales taxes can really add up on purchases) - perhaps us Aussies don't always have it that bad.
  12. Looks like the deal is over for Diagon Alley. I saw it last night - but now its showing $279 - all other sets are still listed 20% off. Kicking myself I didn't get one ordered at that price !!!
  13. Welcome along. Eurobricks is a great site - and there's a great thread in the BSTF section titled "Aussie sales...." Keep an eye on that for sales news.
  14. And minfigures - thanks for the tip, I'm off to Myer now !!!!
  15. Really great MOC. Well presented post as well - love the background on how y built it and how you improved on it. Forgive my lack of knowledge - but is the Tumbler a kit or a MOC as well? Thanks for sharing.
  16. I feel the pain about the exclusives - however LEGO seem now to have a number of deals where free shipping is offered. And if you join the VIP Club you can get done decent credits. Just this year I had the SSD and Haunted House b I feel the pain about the exclusives - however LEGO seem now to have a number of deals where free shipping is offered. And if you join the VIP Club you can get done decent credits. Just this year I had the SSD and Haunted House both shipped free and around $30 off due to credits. In fact I'll be spending Christmas night with the Haunted House :).
  17. I haven't logged into Eurobricks for months ... just been lurking. But after seeing this MOC I had to post a reply. Really great work - great idea and beautifully executed. I hope TrU could at least cut you a discount on a few kits. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us. Merry Christmas.
  18. Thanks to the organisers of this event. It was great. My two little boys had a great time - looking at the displays and the LEGO building area was great too. We went on Saturday morning and thought the 10m line was large - but went back on Monday and the que stretched for a good 100m - 200m. Well done to all involved - it was a great event.
  19. Wondering if anyone has seen the Friends Horse related items. Kit # 3186 looks great - have they hit retail as yet ?? Thanks.
  20. Typical Myer - this must be just regional. All they had was B2G1F for board games. I'm really tired of Myer's "Patchwork" sales - at some shops, but not others.
  21. BigW have switched over to toy sale pricing this afternoon - good hunting !!!
  22. I was happy to be proven wrong on this - thanks for the URL. I'm off to raid my local Myer this afternoon. My boys will be most impressed with a haul of LOTR LEGO for the weekend !!
  23. I know if I go up to Myer they will refuse the extra 10% off. Their prices are OK - but need a little more off to entice me. Oh well -to those that got the deal well done. But I know my Myer will be all over the "no print-out" no deal.
  24. I'm starting to think this MyerOne extra 10% off email is an urban myth. Doesn't seem that anyone has one. But happy to be surprised and someone post the offer.
  25. Thanks for the link - the Garage is a great price - well done KMart, something decent in a sale. Though have to say looking through that Kmart catalogue you realise just how much crud they sell. These generic "pirate" / "dinosaur" /"army" toys are such crud. My 3 year old was desperate for a $15 dino pack. Honestly its all landfill now as it just breaks (or was broken to begin with).
