  1. Thanks again for the heads up. Dropped by my local and although it still had a sticker for $250 - it was $144.50. Unbelievable. I had to get two at that price (now my boys will both have one). This is my favourite LEGO kit, and I think I was especially hyped to get one after watching the small trailer for an upcoming CW episode and you see these in action. Again these boards have been great in helping us find a bargain. Thanks.
  2. Damn I just checked my local KMart yesterday afternoon and it still had the $250 sticker. I knew I should have priced checked it. I'll be off this morning to grab another 1 - that is just too cheap. Thanks for the heads up.
  3. I'm waiting for them to drop the AT-OT / Dropship to under $200 - would be nice if this coincided with a 15% off sale (it's still $250 at my local). Its funny how they run with 15% now - it was always 20%, seems they bring that out for the Christmas and Toy sale promotions.
  4. Thanks for the heads up, this seems like a good option. Especially at the moment given the weakness of the USD. I like the option of combining multiple orders. Maybe this will be the best way (cheapest) to get that new UCS Imperial Flagship.
  5. Thanks for the heads up on the Pirate Tank. I was just talking with the kids this morning about how this kit wasn't out here as yet. And good on Target for releasing it at a decent discount.
  6. Great kit LEGO. I can't get over the amount of high end kits they are pumping out. Is there any word on the Australian price ??
  7. I popped into TrU and picked up the Home One kit and when I gave the girl my voucher it deducted $100, not the $40 it should have. Not sure what happened, nor was she, but she obvioulsy couldn't work out that $100 wasn't 20% and let it thru. I really wasn't going to bother with this kit, but for $160, it seemed OK. So I've done well to get it for $100.
  8. I really like the look of that collector box. Good idea all around LEGO, though shame not coming to Australia.
  9. One of my boys got his LEGO Club magazine today. But no second one for my other boy, who we signed up with the recent BigW promotion. I do remember we were a few days past the date when we sent it off, but I assumed that cut-off date was for the purchase date, not the date you mailed it in. Does anyone know if LEGO will mail 2 or more Club magazines to the same household (obviously different names)? Also went to my local TrU and noticed that all the SW LEGO kits are well over RRP (sorry if been mentioned earlier). Is this something new with them ?? I recall exclusives have always been dearer, but now all regular kits, what gives TrU??? I did see the Home One kit, looks impressive, but at $200, it's staying there (for the time being).
  10. <--link--> 1. Cloud City WIP (Kaitan) <--link--> 2. Palitoy cardboard Death Star in LEGO (BaronSat) <--link--> 3. AV-7 Antivehicle cannon (pedro) <--link--> 4. Luke's landspeeder (Lars) <--link--> 5. AT-RT (Lars) Thanks so much to these posters, and all others who share their MOC's. It's so great to see what can be done with LEGO bricks + imagination.
  11. They will fly of the shelves now.
  12. I checked out my local Target and they are stocked like I've never seen before. Heaps and heaps of the Pirate line and the MMV kit. That MMV looks even better in the hand, even my Wife commented how cool it looks
  13. Got to agree with your comment on TrU, they really do extort their exclusive status, good too see Targert doing the right thing. The other stores also seem to run good discounts with the exclusives. I'm fearing that the Home One, although its come out at a reasonable $180 at LEGO, TrU will add $10 - 20 to it. I also think they are shifty with stock at sales. The exclusive Power Miner set was well stocked at the TrU I go to, then it went on sale and they were "Sold out", then I go back the day after the sale ends and there are at least a dozen of them back on the shelves.
  14. DarthSion, when I click on this link I get the 2 page form, page 1 is the flyer, page 2 has the part where you fill your details out and the address to mail it to.
  15. In my rush I forget about the BigW LEGO Club membership deal. But they have posted the form on the net, which you fill out and send off with your receipt. I have 2 boys, so this means the youngest will get his own Club membership now (though he is only 1, but I'm sure he'll appreciate when he grows up). Here's the link
  16. I love how LEGO do their quality control over pricing once they've actually listed it live.
  17. I got everything I wanted this morning without a hitch. I avoided the large shopping centres and went to my surbarban shops to collect what I was after. The Dropship / AT-OT is an impressive looking kit, can't wait to put that together. Hope everyone else got what they were after.
  18. They don't do the midnight openings in Brisbane, so do my shopping tomorrow. I'm happy with the Dropship price that KMart are offering. I also think the BigW discounts are pretty god, the YWing for under $70 seems fair, and even the Attack Cruiser seems decent at $168. I've also laid out a spot in my office for the midi-MF, so that's on the shopping list as well.
  19. The Target catalogue (online) has now been updated with prices. It's 20% off LEGO, with the exception of the Magnaguard fighter - 50% off @$39.95 The MMV will be selling for $120. here's a link (go to page 44-45)
  20. Thanks for the review KimT. I just saw this today at my local toy shop, I think I'm going t get it. Its on sale here on Thursday for just AUD$50, which isnt too bad. I was actually surprised by how big the box was, and also how heavy it felt. I think I like the scale, and as others have said AT-AT would be great in this scale. I think I'm going to display this MF at work, and have the mini-figs from 4504 next to it. Well done LEGO, glad you tried a new idea.
  21. BigW - Wind Turbine $58.88 The Farm set is $88.88 Also the BigW page has a spend $40 or more and get free LEGO club membership
  22. Just saw the BigW catalogue, prices are: - Venator $168 - YWing $69.88 - Midi Falcon $46.88 - Galactic Enforcer - $116 - Hyperspace pursuit - $54.83 - Container Bust - $34.62
  23. Really nice MOC. I too thought it was a really good episode (though my 8 year old walked off halfway thru as he thought the episode was boring). Thanks for sharing your work, you did a good job
  24. You're right, of course it will be cheaper. It is actually quite a nice kit when you look at the box. I even think at $200 it isn't a bad price, anything cheaper makes it really appealing. Great to hear that the Pirate range is out also. I saw these in the UK a month or so ago and wanted to get the Bounty, but it was way too big to bring home. Though with the chance to get MMV at a cheap price, I might be tempted to get that instead.........damn LEGO, too many great choices at the moment.
  25. I'm glad I was wrong about that Dropship/AT-OT price, $350 is much more palatable. It is a shame all the kits are dispersed across retailers. I did see the Venator today at BigW, I wonder if there will be any discount on the $198 price? I didn't see any YWings there, and there doesn't seem to be any news on the Hoth or Tank Droid kit (maybe KMart will have them, and hopefully during their 20% off).
