Not sure who does pricing at fishpond.com, but it's a real lottery. Like they have the Dropship / AT-OT combo slashed to $399, and the 8129 AT-AT is down to $229, and if you missed out on the 7676 Republic Gunship don't despair, they have it in stock, ready to ship in 6-10 days (though if you've used fp before you'll realize their time estimates might actually be in dog years not human) for the grate price of $345. Oh and if you do use them, hopoe you werernt hoping for Mint boxes, the last order I received was basically the Lego box wrapped in brown paper the perfect recipe for a crushed box.

Kmart had these on clearance last Christmas (made a nice Kris Kringle present for my brother) and BigW had them clearances recently, I got myself one for $25. But good luck seeing one at retail, I think these might have sold out now.

Seems like Myer varies all over the country. My Myer had big signs, "not to be used in conjunction with any other offers". And sure enough that's what they applied when I was there. I have noticed that the Brisbane stores are real Nazis when it comes to combining deals, they won't let you, but Adelaide seems to add them all up. Thankfully though I had a $10 off coupon and for some reason that's what the Atlantis HQ was rung up at, so in the end got a $80 kit for $10, not a bad deal. Well done to those who got the combined deal.

I've only picked one game up so far, Robo Champ. And for $15 it was a pretty entertaining game. I'm keen to get that Lunar Command game, but it appears to be the one game that hasn't hit retail aw yet.

Noticed the following reduced Clearance pricing at Kmart today; - Woody's roundup $39 - Tie defender $50 - Farm (City not Duplo) $65 The construct a Buzz / Zurg had also been reduced further along with a couple of the small Duplo kits (you van tell I have small kids - noticing Duplo pricing !!!) And as mentioned earlier the Army men is at $13. Good hunting !!!

I was wondering if anyone got this latest LEGOClub mailout from an application they filled out for the recent Myer "no joining fee" offer ?? I never got a confirm email that they sent out, and no package for the Myer forms. Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up. Does the Wizards have printing on the hips / legs?. The pictures on Shop@Home had both a printed version and a clean version.

What's the thought on the AT-AT pricing from Shop@Home at $170. Seems pretty reasonable given what has become an almost standard "doubling" of the US price. Seems fair considering the Motorized version still sells at $230, and this has less pieces, though more MF's. Is this another LEGO mistake, or a sign of fairer pricing for us Aussies ???

You're right about that shop being a gold mine for clearnaced kits. I was going to head there tomorrow for some Hoth kits. Oh well not to worry. And good to see Kmart back to heavy clearance pricing, I'm hoping that Farm gets a little cheaper.

I noticed the same thing today, and had the same reaction..... Laughter !!! Was in Kmart today and the toy attendant started talking to me, anyway he brought out the Slave 1. It scanned at $144, he then told me Kmart had the best pricing and was the exclusive distributor for new SW kits (first 3 months). I was about to argue with him on the pricing (and exclusivity, since he was holding the CTT and I'd just bought one from Target), but decided not to bother, I told him I'd get the Slave 1 closer to Christmas (I'm sure Myer will have a $160 price point, then have a 20% off, if not more) he said I'd be lucky to get it then, as it will sell out and they probably arent getting anymore in!!! What a joker !!!

I keep passing on the Woody's Round up too, I can just see myself paying $200 / $250 for it in the aftermarket in 2012!!! Though I must say the mini figures are a little funny, having played countless hours with my son and his Duplo TS figs I think they are better. I've now spotted the new SW kits in suburban Brisbane, plenty of new Wampa caves as well, surely they had them sitting out back during their toy sale.

Really great review, you went the extra mile with all the little photos - much appreciated. I was lukewarm on this kit, but you've shown its actually a pretty good looking kit. The mini figures look great, that Han torso is great, and Luke's helmet has been improved out of site. As you say the price is a drag, and I'm nit sure what it'll be in Aussie dollars, but I'm assuming I won't be getting much back from $300. Thanks again for the great review.

And have to agree with the BogW comment - they had stuff everywhere. The landspeeders were with the Toasters at my local... go figure!!!

I dropped into two BigW's in Brisbane, the Space Police and Star Wars kits mentioned in other posts are indeed on clearance. Looks like the Agents stuff might be a local thing from Adelaide though, the ones I picked up rang thru at full price...damn!! Plenty of supply of all other kits though - saw plenty of Pig Farms at the Garden City store (though I left it there at $48!!) Hope everyone got what they wanted at the sales. Noe we need to save for the Target sales

Myer is so inconsistent with all their policies. I had to wrangle to get the 10% off - supposedly you had to print a voucher out. There was no LEGO Club membership forms, but I did get the Mario bag. But all in all they did a pretty good job, they had plenty of stock and the prices are really good. That Kmart toy sale seems like a total farce. $299 for the Tantive IV, I can't see too many of them flying off the shelves. And their other discounts are all very random. They certainly have done a big job of announcing their new strategy this year, and they certainly are different. Gone are the days that I'll bother shopping there.

I too noticed the Police Station for $88 so grabbed it. I did notice that Big's stocks were plentiful before the drop, not so now. So I think the lesson is, grab it while you can. I also notice my Kmart heavily re-stocked with the Police Command Centre - though still for sale at $68 (or thereabouts). Wonder if that will be part of the Toy Sale bargains??

Thanks very much for this review. After seeing this review I must admit it wet my appetite to buy my first used LEGO kit. I was fortunate enough to find one at a decent price a month or so back and together with my Wife we put it together last night. Its a great kit, neither of us had it when we were young, but it certainly brings the memories back of old vintage kits from the 80's. Though I think this kit had a few techniques that were lacking in the kits from the early 80's. I love the little cars, and they are very practical for my near 2 year old to play with. Unlike current cars which seem to end in a pile of pieces when he's finished playing. These little cars could withstand some rough treatment. He was actually fascinated with the parking garage as well. I love the shot of you getting this when you were 3. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

I saw them at two Kmarts in Brisbane. The SPIII Central didn't seem as big as I was expecting. But the Undercover Cruiser looks very nice, and for $60 doesn't seem too outrageous. Interestingly one of the Kmarts had been stripped bear of the TS3 Train sets (Duplo and "minifig" scale). The Toy staff member said she restocked the shelf twice with them on the first day of the sale.

Saw the rest of the Space Police III wave at Kmart today, pricing is: - 5983 Undercover Cruiser - $59 - 5984 Lunar Limo - $69 - 5985 Space Police central - $129 Let's hope Myer have these ahead of their 25% off night, I'm sure if they do, then pricing will be cheaper than Kmart's.

I came close to getting them during the Free shipping, but I missed my chance. Worked out OK in the end. The Rapid VPR is nice little ship, and I like the change in helmet for the officers. By the way I didn't see the Train TS3 kit at Myer - is that an exclusive ??
