  1. Come on... Is it really that important? It's the first time I've seen pics of that set. Thanks for sharing AlaPo - great to know that I don't have to know what ALL threads and posts on eurobricks include
  2. Oh wow!!! I love what you've done here. My favourite is definitely Edoras - it is simply beautiful! And it actually looks 100% like an official set - in the MMV league. Impressive. I am also very impressed with your Treebeard. I would not Think twice about purchasing these. Do you plan to make building instructions for these? I would pay you to do it ;)
  3. Congrats, and good luck guys :) Can't wait to see what you come up with
  4. SlyOwl, you are so damn good it is indescribable. Everytime you present a MOC you've added something that I haven't seen before in any MOC - this time it's the water! It is simply stunning. I love all your building techniques I love the rich life on both ships' decks - the addition of animals is a great idea. I read Derfel's comment about a collaboration between the two of you - If that ever happened, I would not know what to do with myself but run around in circles due to overload MOC awesomeness!!!
  5. Nope - not at all :)

  6. Haha, thank you very much. It does make sense when reading Sinner's points :)
  7. Ohhh that is awesome - I have been waiting a long time for an update in this thread - I thank you for picking up where the OP left us hanging
  8. I managed to reduce my overall final Bricklink price by more than 100 USD because I changed the 20 white 1x2x3 panels with hollow studs into used white 1x2x3 panels with solid studs :) it was the ones without side support, meaning that the swap of bricks is unnoticeable on my Cafe :) I then spent 80 USD on the 2 original manuals, because the downloadable file is very badly scanned - I am color blind so there are many of the bricks that I can't tell from each other in the downloadable manual - it is much much easier for me to see the various colors in the original manual :)
  9. May I ask why we should avoid this? Not to be an idiot towards the mods or anything, but why? This is a forum, where people come to share their opinion, and if somebody hasn't seen a topic, they are interested in, when it was first created, they have no choice but to bump it. Just my opinion
  10. Haha, og dear! :) - Well I must say I haven't got this set, so I can't imagine how many parts would lie on the floor. You own the set, and are a very lucky guy - back pain or not :D
  11. uhh... Isn't building with LEGO a main factor for being a LEGO fan?
  12. Or you could try to make a wanted list on Bricklink and buy the pieces and sticker sheet from there
  13. I would absolutely LOVE to be a part of this :) I have 'above basic' skills in working with homepages ;) - as you can see here: www.dmbreleases.com and www.dreamingtree.dk And I am an extremely quick learner when it comes to IT I have also written an article on the 'classic' LEGO house :) - you can find the link in my sig Besides that, I have written a good number pictorial reviews that include photoshopping: Black Seas Barracuda, Caribbean Clipper, Skull's Eye Schooner, Rock Island Refuge...just to name a few of the pirate related :) Good luck to all who apply :)
  14. Great review with lovely and clear pictures :) 2007 was indeed a good City year - and so were the eighties
  15. They are rarely in stock
  16. I just can't stop looking at this MOC - it's so beautiful and perfect in every way
  17. Yeah I should definitely go through eBay lots next time I want to 'Bricklink' a set
  18. I wanted to share photos of my CC - Oh how I love it This must be the most expensive area of any OOP LEGO set out there Awe inspiring
  19. Og I just love to read your blog :) You have managed to really go in depth with this wave and analyse it really well
  20. Yeah I know that it will also look great with only a few replacements I'm just wondering how people can manage to keep the final price below 350 USD - I had to pay 570 USD for all the bricks via Bricklink, and wonder how it is possible to stay below that... :) Edit: and I even forgot to mention the 4 dark bluish grey parrots
  21. I'm happy to hear that more and more people have been able to build the Cafe Corner from Bricklink :) Mine looks so awesome, now that I've finished it :) I must say that I was really surprised by its size - I've never seen a modular building irl before. It's huge. So awe inspiring! I'm still wondering how people can Bricklink this set for as low as 350 dollars though? Did people really manage that with the correct pieces like: - the 20!!! white 1x2x3 panels without side support? They cost around 4-5 dollars (and that's if you're lucky, and they might not even be new - plus no Bricklink shop normally has all 20 at the same time = extra shipping fee.) - the Dark blue arch - which costs from between 12-15 dollars for a used brick! - the 36!!! dark red roof slopes which cost more than 1 dollar and up to 2 dollars a piece from a seller that has 64 slopes in his shop. - the right sided light bluish grey door which costs from around 30 dollars! Oh well ;)
  22. You are so flippin' good at this - I have really missed your MOCs - so glad you're back :) Beautiful creation DNL! Thanks for posting this
  23. Oh wow - what a magnificent MOC. I love everything about it. I can't stop browsing through the pictures
  24. Wow - I love this. Excellent work all over. It looks so realistic. Great great job. I think this is your best work I've seen. The building techniques and the stickers and the overall feel is so wonderful.
  25. Amazing work - very realistic, beautiful and with great techniques all over the place
