  1. Yeah you can work a little on that. You can remove the main sail (as brigs of this era usually didn't have one), make the four course a bit longer towards the deck, and make the other sails shorter so that when looking to the fron, you can see the crow's nests between them. And the upper yard of the spanker sail usually goes to the main yard of the main mast (not to the main topyard). For the names of the sails, click here. But outside of that, the sails look good, and I like the use of sails between the two masts. I see that you've also worked on the headrails, it looks perfect now It's becoming a very nice ship and when finished, I think we'll have another frontpage article
  2. Ah I think I know what you mean. I got this flag tag, but it seems to be a rather strange image. On some computers you can't see it or you only see this question mark. I hope they'll change it sometime.

  3. You did a good job here. The decals look very clear and the heads are mostly very well chosen. Good to hear that a trench scene is on the agenda. I have some ww1 bullets, buttons and a bayonet myself. It's a fascinating war, and I don't see many ww1 MOC's around here so it's great that you're planning to make one. Good luck! This is a nice start.
  4. What question mark tag do you mean? I don't see any..

  5. That first picture looks excellent! It looks very impressive now, with the big broadside it already has. The only thing you may have to change is the stay from the mainmast to the bowsprit. I think it's placed too high on the bowsprit. It should be very close to, or maybe even behind that core of ropes at the bottom of the bowsprit. Right now it will mean that you'll get a very short fore mainsail because the stay is in the way. But, like I said, the rest is perfect, keep it up
  6. You could give this some more birds or other animals/details to fill things up. But it's a very nice MOC, very peaceful and realistic. I also like the waterfall.
  7. Excellent MOC! You really captured the feeling of the silence before the storm in here, with the jumping fishes (great touch), the small wave above the boat and the birds just at the moment they are flying away to seek a good shelter. The cart is nice as well, and I like all the trash and other stuff lying there, very suitable to the 'old shepherd'. Well done
  8. Awesome! This is certainly the best Lego clipper I've ever seen! (actually I haven't seen many at all, but this one is perfect anyway). Every detail is just exactly like on the real ship, and I really like the SNOT decks, the winches and all the deck houses. Maybe it's also an idea to give the figurehead some mop of hair, like on the real one, but I don't know how. Anyway, it's a masterpiece, great job.
  9. The poop deck is still a bit too wide IMO, and the figurehead could be placed a bit higher (so that is almost touches the bowsprit). But the tiled deck looks awesome! I also like the two bowchasers and so far the rigging is looking good as well. And one small tip: usually the bow of the lifeboat is pointed in the same direction as the bow of the big ship. Good job so far, keep it up! (the hammock pictures is well-deserved indeed )
  10. Eurobricks member Bonaparte has been re-elected as LEGO Ambassador of our forum, classic-pirates.com. So due to his good work, the chosen one will remain the chosen one! He is said to have direct contact with 'the Lords of Lego', which is a very important position. Time to congratulate him with an extra ration of rum!
  11. Well, actually that second picture is HMS Temeraire (see here) But indeed, in the movie it doesn't look very realistic..It should look more like this. Still, there are some very nice ships in the movie (Endeavour, Dauntless, Interceptor), and if they make one of those as well, I'll be happy
  12. Great! Such a large fleet! You can really play some nice battles with this. The designs are also nice, different ships but in a way also similar to each other. Just like BC said, I think I've never seen such a large fleet of Lego ships before, good work
  13. It's already a recognizable Constitution The colourscheme, the tan decks, the captain's cabin and the arrangement of the ship are all good. But there is also room for improvement. I would try to make more of a curve in the white gunports line, and let the gunports open upwards. And your deck is the same width everywhere. You could try to make it more narrow towards the back. And turn the wheel a quarter turn. With these changes, it will look very close to perfect. Good luck!
  14. That last picture is epic I also like the clothes hanging there and you did a good job on the carriage. Good luck in the contest.
  15. The high walls look very strong, and I like the holes for the archers in it. Like KielDaMan said, the flaming tar stuff is a great touch as well and you have a nice skeleton army. My only small complaint is that it seems like they didn't close the gates just in front of the 2 horses. I would close them in a battle like this. But still, very good job
  16. BLUECOAT Here's my torso: -sorry about the size. And my head can be seen on my avatar. I'll take some... croissants with me (surprising isn't it?) EDIT: [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  17. Agreed. That looks brilliant I also like the look of the light on the floor, coming out of the captain's cabin. Nice idea. I'm also thinking of putting it in my new ship, but I haven't even started with the ship yet so it's just thoughts now. Anyway, nice idea.
  18. I actually meant the white headrails leading to the figurehead. But the rest looks very good now. And I see a few tiles around one of the masts. Are you planning on tiling the entire deck or just that small part? Keep it up!
  19. It's looking good. The interior is fabulous for sure! Although you're going to change a few things, my small points of critic are as follow: -make the poop deck go flat, not sloped. -Change the headrails a little. Right now they are first curving downwards, and than slightly upwards. I would make it just downwards. And adding paws to the figurehead may look great as well. Still, it's very promising. The interior and the colourscheme both look awesome EDIT: I think this will suit the frontpage [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  20. Most of these must be quite hard to make. Almost all of them are wearing a suit with many stripes on it. And not only stripes, but a lot more small details. Must be a lot of work! Still, you made them very similar to the pictures next to them, so great job! Probably even better than TLG would have made them.
  21. Nice MOC! I can spot some recemblance with the templebar, especially the colourscheme, which is great. Because it's a computer MOC, you can see the lines between the bricks like clearance, which looks very realistic. But I doubt if that will look as good in real. But then you can always mix some colours, and the green 1x1 plates above the windows are already a nice touch. The interior is great as well. I really like the hanging tv screen in there. Good job
  22. Here's mine: A new picture with christmas background.
  23. Wonderfoul! That's just what I thought. But indeed, keep on building a few more of those great castle creations! They are always great to look at. What you could do however, is making some more interior MOC's. Or maybe a few other aspects of the middle ages (like the plague, a monastery or some poor peasants). Not that it isn't good enough, but I'd like to see how you would make other scenes of the same theme. Anyway, keep it up!
  24. It has been said many times already, but what a great review I really like this combination with a comic of two different 'worlds'. It's also a nice way to compare the size of the weapons (the musket seems a bit large indeed..) and to see some nice combinations of the weapons with different minifigs. Still, I'd go for the croissant Anyway, you made good use of your prize. Thanks for the review.
  25. Long question and long answers.. I'm not going to read it all, but I did vote. I'm not changing all my yellow's into fleshies, but I may do the opposite. I remember seeing a topic with a good Lego 'yellow marker' so you keep the same head, but in yellow. Here it is. This may be a good solution. By the way, it's [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
