  1. Wow that's excellent! These things always look extremely hard and confusing to make in real. But you did it Also a funny idea to make in in the castle version. I'd like to see this from different angles.
  2. Some flags seem to be floating on that image But it's a nice MOC. Not very spectacular but perfect in it's way. I don't think this could be done much better. The tent in the back is nice and you did a good job on the black&white thing in the middle. The tree is also nice.
  3. Excellent MOC! That's how a pirate's life should be All those typical pirate scenes in this MOC are worked out very well [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  4. The same to you Tazmaniac! I hope we can slaughter as many redcoats and pirates (and islanders!) in 2011 as we did last year And of course I hope everyone will continue enjoying the forum, participating in contests and things like that.
  5. It's becoming a very nice frigate! Though the checker in the captain's cabin is usually white, your colours don't look bad either. The black gun hatches you're planning to add make it look even more realistic. Now for the help You could make a bit more of a curve in the gunline as all the gun hatches are on the same level now. As for the masts, I don't have the (order) list anymore, but I used about 80 of these, and about 25 of these. And then I filled the masts with technic axles to make them stronger. For the second part of the masts (from the first 'crow's nest' to the top)I used a total of about 50 of these with pins in them. And for the yards I just used many of these with technic axles. For the figurehead you can just use a minifig or some kind of creature/animal. Or even a shield would do. On the upper deck you could place one big 'hole' between the main and fore mast (like on the Vesta), place a steering wheel just in front of the mizzen mast and place a capstan, a bell and some other stuff. And the rigging...I don't know if you want to put as many time in it as I did But I used a thicker rope bought in some local shop and bought lego rope for the horizontal rope in the 'climbing rigging' and for the smaller lines. Good luck! I'm sure this will turn out into a very fine vessel
  6. There are hardly more than 20 ships yet, so I'll add another few good ships to make it a bit more exciting Ship name: Xebec Builder name: dukeschunke Ship description (optional):Xebec Link:http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7798&hl=xebec&st=0 Ship name: Hansa Trade Cog Builder name: DNL Ship description (optional): Trade Cog Link: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35775 Ship name: Galleon Builder name: Ciamoslaw Ciamek (Piglet?) 7. That's a very nice and original ship You could also make the middle mast the talles one and see how it looks. Anyway, good MOC and with a nice bowsprit
  8. My mistake. I thought you had used blue headlight bricks, but with technic 1x1 bricks with a hole or something like that, it can indeed be done from two sides
  9. And another AWESOME! Nice work on the snowball fight, the buildings, the green santa , everything. Though LED's in the tree would be nice as well, the lights already give it a great feeling. Good work
  10. Nice MOC. I like the way you made the ice and the snow in the trees is also a nice touch. And I just realized the thrown snowball. Ingenious!
  11. I really like the first one! Quite different from what you are used to make, but still very nice I like the wooden part with some dark brown in it and the supports are nice too. The second MOC is good as well. It shows how the every-day life was for most of those normal peasants. The slopes on the sides there are also a good touch. Well done again
  12. The masts and rigging could use some more work (the yards, for example, are quite short and thin), but the rest is really nice. It looks very modular and the interior is nice as well, with a lot of details. I especially like the doors, the oven and the captain's cabin, though the stern is a bit too wide IMO. But good job overall.
  13. I'm not very fond of brickbuilt flags and this one seems to work only from one side. But it's clear that this is a masterpiece and I think it's the best one can do this way. It's certainly recognizable the Union Jack. Great job
  14. That would be great for sure! And the last thing you'll see on your movie is a croissant crashing into the screen Sorry for being a bit off topic. I won't do it again
  15. I thought about it a little longer and I think the skeleton minifig is a very good one as well. It can be used in many different themes and the legs can also be used for table-legs and more.
  16. Looks like you already found some good use for your new custom hairpieces Nice comic, very clear pictures and good editing (with text balloons and stuff). The pirate bird is also quite funny I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
  17. It looks surprisingly good actually I would still take more time and make it from scratch as that makes it look even more realistic, but your way doesn't look very bad either (but a bit too square). But there are also traditional ways that are quite fast, like on Bonaparte's Prince of Wales. Anyway, your idea is nice as well, and more realistic than the Lego way IMO, if it wasn't only because the strings are black.
  18. Welcome to Eurobricks! I'm very active in the pirates forum myself, so I guess I'll see you around there. Enjoy your time here.
  19. It's rather simple, but also rather nice. I like the snot water and how the chest is half in the sand. But a BL order certainly sounds like a good idea
  20. I think this is worthy of a place on the frontpage [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  21. Like the others said, some more pictures of the jeep would be nice. From what I can see, it's a good MOC. The small packs of ammunition lying near the trench are a nice/realistic detail as well. And did they really carry antennas that long?
  22. The 'EB user Groups and Tags' thread says: The first thing is something to be proud of and the last thing (none exist) should be edited Congratulations! I think EB will have to create a new rank for you in order to keep you posting
  23. Nice MOC. It has a realistic feeling due to the round walls and the dense foliage. The waterfall is also nice and the house is a bit plain -but good as well (though you could perhaps make the roof a bit more interesting). Overall, good work
  24. Nice custom. Although I think it'll suit better on a headpiece without a beard. But indeed it looks rather professional. Be sure to post some pictures of the sides and back too once it's painted
  25. Difficult question. I think I don't even know all the minifigs ever produced. However, I think I agree with Sirius Black that the new Jack Sparrow (even though he isn't out yet) has a very detailed torso and a very realistic 'hairpeace'. But if it's really the best ever..I don't know. There are just too many great minifigs
