  1. Fantastic MOC! It's just covered up entirely with a medieval feeling. I really like the small village and the cave hideouts. The castle is great too of course (although I feel like the castle-moat should have been made of Lego) , and even the big tree is very nice. Excellent work
  2. So much awesomeness! I think you've beaten the Vesta here But that's nice about this forum, keep trying to use other people's techniques and improve it with your own. A keen competition like you said I really like the fact that you gave it studdingsails. It shows that it's possible and they look great. I think I mentioned quite a lot of features of this ship in previous posts, so I'll mention mostly the new things now. The gally is new to me and has a nice design, and the stern improvements are great as well. What I'm also very fond of is your way of making it modular. It's very clever and I will keep it in mind for my next ship. I will of course blog this, but actually I think this should be on the EB-frontpage as well [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  3. Well for the location of the surgeon and the oven, it might be a good idea to first decide whether you want to build a frigate or a ship of the line. This image may help you if you want to build a ship of the line, and this one if you want to build a frigate. Also I think your hull is a bit too long/thin. It's more like a clipper now. But it seems you're quite good at working with LDD, so I'm looking forward to the next update. Good luck!
  4. The ship is really taking shape now The only thing I'm not very fond of is the yellow+black yards. I think that will make it too much of that combination. Plain grey or black will look better IMO. And the top mast section on east mast is placed behind the mast section below it, whilst it should be in front of it. On the lowest and middle mast section you did it right though. Outside of that I think it's excellent. Keep it up!
  5. Yeah antiques seem very popular in Englang. When I switch to BBC1 or 2 on the tv, most of the time there's some kind of antiques show on it Your MOC is excellent again. I like the round wall with all the windows in it and the green-white pattern just above it. The brown sides of this MOC ('below ground level') also make this look very professional. Good job
  6. Makes me think of great scene Anyway, nice MOC, the pile of ash is actally quite funny with the helmet and sword on it And the second helmet really adds to the idea that she really is a witch. Well done. The house looks good too.
  7. I've seen them before but your ships are really great. This frigate is really the pride of your collection. It's amazingly detailed (I believe the interior is exactly like on a real frigate), and the shape is perfect as well. But your last update was almost 2 years ago..is it almost time for a new update? I can't wait to see something like this in real!
  8. They look very realistic. I'm surprised that nobody has tried this before. It seems quite easy but it makes them look a lot better. I understand that TLG didn't make them though. Their design can be used for many more things than just a wand. On the other hand, the custome one can also be used for icicles (white version) or as a toothpick... Or perhaps child safety was the main reason. Anyway, nice job
  9. Excellent MOC. The whole architecture (like the open places in the house, and the gate of course) looks very Japanese to me. But I agree with the others that the bamboo and the brown roof technique are the best features of this MOC. Very clever
  10. I like both roofs and the round tower. There are 2 trans blue 1x1 plates in the water which seem a bit out of place but I suppose you didn't have enough bricks left? Outside of that it's a very nice MOC. Almost every spot is filled up with another small detail. Good job!
  11. Well, that was in France, so it was more like a tourist attraction, just like the Eiffel Tower xD

  12. Excellent! It looks truly wonderful this way. It's almost the same like on the edited picture in your signature, but then in Lego! Maybe you could add a nice background on it, but outside of that it looks good.
  13. Very sad news... I'm grateful for what he did for our forum, and for the rum he gave us. I didn't know him that well, but he seemed a true pirate and a good person.
  14. Looks nice I'd like to see this in the dark with some of those little lights on the bookcases like on the movie picture. The tiled floor, statue and windows are nice. It seems a lot smaller than the 'real' one, but still, I think this would do very well as a film set
  15. I understand that. It's just something you can keep in mind when you're building a new ship. And it looks's great now with the changed masts. Good job.
  16. Good idea to make a baltimore schooner. It's an interesting ship type, the forerunner of the clipper, and I believe I haven't seen one before here. The colour scheme is nice, and on the side view the hull seems perfect. What you could change IMO is letting the hull be at it's max with for a longer part, almost to the fore mast. The bow is actually quite stump (as you can see here). And (although I don't know if it's doable) you could make the masts lean over towards the stern a bit (like here) That's quite a typical feature for these ships. Anyway, it's already a very fine vessel. Keep it up
  17. The car is wonderfoul I also like the door and the grey structure on top of it (supporting the roof). And the lamppost is also nice
  18. Nice car. I always have to laugh when I see cars like this one driving very slowly on the road because they can't go any faster And about the steering wheel..let's just say it's the first real voice-controlled car
  19. It is a shame we couldn't have this great MOC in the community build when it was still up and running. But as the others have stated, better late then never especially with this impressive piece of work! The lighthouse is nice, although it seems like it uses a fire as a light within a wooden structure, is that a smart idea? Anyway, I still like it, with the real light, but I like the rock structure (with the hole in it) and the large waves even more. I don't know how to improve the waves. Perhaps with dark blue. The ship looks nice as well, leaning over this way. Can't wait to see it under full sail in this MOC!
  20. After seeing the perfectly customized minifigs of Tin7 and The Penguin, and watching the movie Master and Commander: the Far Side of the World (and of course the book series, although I read only 2 of them so far), I got inspired to make my own. I had already been experimenting a bit with this and this minifig. So with some clay, decal paper and paint, this is how it turned out: This is a reference link for his hat. This is the only image I could find of him with these clothes on For background stories of these characters, look here. And here's a link to the used torso's (viewable when public). C&C are of course very welcome
  21. Do I spot a potential girlfriend for General Armendariz there? Anyway, it's a very nice MOC. Almost no plain walls. They are all filled up with different details and techniques. My favourite detail here is definitely the stained glass windows with the ship in it. Well done I do prefer SNOT water above tiled water though. With tiles you see the lines between bricks more clearly. But the different shades are nice. EDIT: you made it to the frontpage [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  22. I did! I think I liked clayface the most. Even though he must have been quite easy to make. And the best minifig of this series is Man-bat IMO. Nice hairpiece and good job on the torso How did you attach the wings on it?
  23. First of all: welcome to Eurobricks! That's a nice way to show the progress you make with your ship. But are you really planning to skin this hull? That may be quite difficult (but not impossible). I also like the shape. It looks very delicate, long and fast. Finally: your pictures are actually a bit too large. You may want to resize them, so here and here are tutorials
