  3. I'll buy perhaps 1 or 2 sets and buy more pieces on Bricklink when I need them.
  4. The Enchanted Isles...isn't that another name for the Galapagos Islands? Well, I think the caribbean would be good. I think a quick google or wikipedia search will show you what kind of fauna can be found there.
  5. Should be quite easy with some plates instead of bricks. I made an example with my paint-art Something like this would look good: A very good choice
  6. Excellent! I can't wait to buy some of these sets and just see the awesome parts and minifigs in real! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  7. That's a rather nice ship so far The shape and colours are good, and I like the name as well. As for the stern, you could add a line of yellow 1x1 round plates like on Perfectionist's ship, or some wings like I did on the Vesta. There are a lot of possibilities, as long as you keep order in it and not too many different colours (in fact, I think just yellow and black will look the best). Some other small improvements could be to reduce the number of these bricks used for the ladder, and to give the railing more of a curve. And are you planning to give it a full interior? That would be interesting For the rigging, I would make it a brig since it's a rather small ship. Good luck!
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks! That's an awesome castle! With LDD MOC's I usually ask if it's going to be built in real as well. But just like ISC I first thought it was a real MOC, so I won't even bother asking that question (though it would be nice in real of course). Although I personally prefer less symmetric castles, this is just an awesome MOC. The bridge and all the stairs and hiding places are great. The catapult things on the towers are also nice. Good job
  9. Happy Birthday! Hope you like your virtual Santa cake!
  10. O wait, I mean you're on the redcoat side. You're carrying the white flag, which is from the ancien regime. During the napoleonic wars, the ancien regime/bourbons fought alongside the British, and against the revolutionary French, like Vesta
  11. Now you say so.. I think I was overacting xD The hull is about 1 meter at the bottom so with the bowsprit it will be about 1,50m in the end I think. Blackmoor and me are going to work on it tomorrow and if it looks good we may post an update.

  12. So you're actually on the bluecoat side And the enemy of for example the Fourageux and the Vesta.
  13. I think it looks excellent so far. The different shades of brown and dark red make the buildings look very realistic. There are a lot of small details in it, and I can't wait to see this finished and inhabited by a bunch of pirates. Are you also planning to give the buildings an interior?
  14. I don't see many new techniques in this MOC, but that's not a big problem, since the complete MOC is just different of previous works. I like all the action going on, and the shark is also quite clever. Perhaps you could put a bit more work in interiors and caves for example, but outside of that this MOC is excellent EDIT: [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  15. Looks good. Although I would rather choose a white hull. But the technique is very clever. Perhaps you could add white tiles to it or something like that. Looking forward to the next update!
  16. Or perhaps we could just make some kind of index for certain building techniques. A "chapter" for roofs, for walls, trees, etc.
  17. Well done. The islanders are usually a bit like the underdogs, but it's nice to see them boil some redcoats too now and then. Good job on the palm trees and on the brown structure in the back. It really looks like a big angry face.
  18. What a great idea to make this tent! well developed too. But especially a great idea And welcome to Eurobricks of course.
  19. Well, according to wikipedia, the original armament would have been 38 guns + 16 carronades (so the carronades weren't counted in the "38 gun frigate"). I think that might get a bit cramped Perhaps it's better to just make it a frigate instead of a Leda Class in particular. You could better use Trincomalee as an inspiration for details and rigging. Or make it something like the Enterprise class for example, with 28 guns. Or just a fantasy frigate. There are classes of frigates of 20 up to 44 guns so there will always be a class linked to a certain amount of cannons. But the typical features of certain classes seem too hard to do with Lego anyway, so I think a 'fantasy frigate will be ok. (Vesta is fantasy as well). But if you really want to give it the same armament as Trincomalee, here's the correct placement. I think your new stern ideas are good. I'm looking forward to the next pictures!
  20. It was originally designed to carry 38 guns (on specific places ) . After 1817 Leda class frigates all got 46. (link)
  21. Seriously? I'm jealous I just read a book about HMS Trincomalee and I'd love to see it in real! As for the ship, I agree with Perfectionist about the headrails. Without the lower part it will look better But then it will still look a bit chaotic, something like on this ship will look good. The stern is indeed too high, so you could either shorten it, or give it another cabin in the back like on this picture. And finally, to call it a leda class frigate, it should actually have 38 guns But on the other hand, the number of guns could also be reduced to less, but stronger guns as happened with Trincomalee. Another famous Leda class frigate is HMS Unicorn, which also still excists (shows how strong these ships with a teak hull are). So perhaps pictures of this ship are also helpful. Good luck!
  22. Awesome! Although there is a very large amount of brown bricks in this MOC, it doesn't look boring at all. The farm, the mud trail here on the last picture, and the saloon with LED-lights are all great. I think it has everything that a real "cowboy village" would have had. They did an excellent job here
  23. Nice MOC. I like the stairs made of telescopes. The SNOT water is also great and all the plants make it look quite realistic. But an apple-tree on a tropical island?...
  24. Thanks for those pictures! I especially like the Barbossa minifig, his bicorne seems very interesting. The globe is also nice, and it´s great that they actually gave blackbeard smouldering ´slubbings´?(not sure if that's correct, but it sounds nice. "smouldering slubbings' I also spot a new female hairpiece, and I wonder what those mermaid flippers really look like.
  25. I think the hull looks good now. Considering that it gets even a bit longer upwards, I think it will have the right proportions. About kurigan's advice, the sharp angles don't bother me a lot since it's a large MOC. But if you can make it smoother, why not? Good luck!
