  1. haha excellent! I think that 007 is secretly hiding inside the cat waiting for the best moment to save JD The cat was a good idea. Very suitable for a villain. Your cat does look a bit like a vampire cat on that picture by the way.
  2. The cannon seems to be on a rather dangerous place But that's no problem for those fearless pirates. It's a nice MOC, with lots of details. I like the crane and the building because it has an interesting wall with different kinds of bricks. Also good work on the pictures. They are very clear and have a good background.
  3. ..and yet I see only one winner..Only in a magical Harry Potter contest you can change 3 into 1 Anyway, congratulations metalgearsolid. You deserved it. I had to laugh about the reason that you got it
  4. Beautiful buildings. Too bad indeed that the tower was destroyed. Are there any ruins left that you can visit? Anyway, your MOC is great, and with the real background it's almost like it's been rebuilt. And the evening view is wonderful
  5. What an excellent way to display the collectible minifigs. The building is great, and I really like details like the working light and the painting with cheese slopes.
  6. This MOC had to be made one day with the new gorilla minifig. You did a nice job. I like the plane as well. The building looks quite modern so it actually suits the single winged plane quite well
  7. Beautiful! Excellent work on the roof, the windows and the colourscheme. The 'base'(?) where this MOC is standing on is also nice.
  8. Pictures of this ship are hard to find. But as you said, other ships of that period may be helpful too. For example the Half Moon, the Golden Hind, the Susan Constant II, theMayflower and perhaps even the Batavia and Vasa. They were built in more or less the same way as the Inferno, so for things like deck details they may be useful. Good luck!
  9. They look excellent. I especially like the thing with the hanging pans in it. In a real MOC I would suggest to use a bit more dark brown and perhaps some red or green in it, but the furniture itself is great EDIT:[bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  10. Well done. The nice window technique is new to me. It's great that is has an interior, and your cannon bases are excellent [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  11. Very original idea, and well elaborated The temple is excellent, with all those torches, arches and the statue. What I don't really get though is how the entrance part is attached to the temple part.. Is the temple on the left when you go down the stairs?
  12. Nice MOC. The close-up of the adventurers in the mud is nice. Adds a lot to the tropical forest-feeling. The head of the second adventurer (with the sweat) is well chosen and all the plants are excellent too. I would have made the mud more 1 colour, but your technique looks like mud too
  13. The yards seem to be of the correct length. And I used the same mast technique for the Vesta. I used about 4-5 different technic axles instead of one 32 axle, and I believe the masts never broke. If you add the ropes and axles efficiently I think they shouldn't be able to break anyway. But 32 axles will do fine of course. As for the colour of the masts, it's quite good. But I would try to make the mast caps (around the "crow's nests") all black and the rest of the masts yellow, as you can see here:
  14. I think this will suit our frontpage [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  15. Nice find. It may be for children, but it suits well to the other topic about the characters and therefore it may be interesting And of course it is news, so:[bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  16. My entry for category C is up. I believe I've followed all the rules. Otherwise I'd like to hear it It's an interesting category. The first time I just looked at the entries and was surprised that this forum (which is usually quite proper) made up such an inappropriate contest!
  17. Happy birthday! Hope you will get another year filled with Lego and fun!
  18. Good to see your frigate finished. She looks awesome with those sails Also good to see the Yellow Thief back. I just noticed it's a Dutch ship...shouldn't it be "Gele Dief" then? (doesn't sound very cool though). The SNOT water is great as well, and the Patrick vs Spongebob thing is quite funny. Children love those funny details as I've learned from Legoworld last year The cannon shooting effect is nice, but I like Perfectionist's technique more: Nice MOC anyway. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
  19. Oh you have that brand too there It may work well but the commercials are always very bad and boring..Nice film though. I just listened to the American Recordings by Johnny Cash. Quite sad music, but very good
  20. Wonderful! The techniques around the roof and windows are great. I also like the SNOT stairs alot, with the trans-clear brics in it. A lot of those small things together make this an awesome MOC
  21. I just wanted to get a closer look on Davy Jones's heart, so here it is: It's not a very useful part for building purposes, but a heart could be useful in many kitchen scenes. Anyway. not very special, but quite an essential part of the movie.
  22. Nice MOC. You did a good job here. A crater, barbed wire, trenches..it's got the essential WW1 parts I do think the trench could have been made with less straigt lines (it's exactly the same width everywhere), and you could put some more stuff (equipment and tools) in there. I like the soldiers and the custom barbed wire. And WW1 sure is an interesting theme.
  23. Are you planning to build a minifig scale ship? That would be awesome Anyway, minifig illusion scale is about 1:40 (so 1cm on your ship is 40 cm on the real ship). I believe some people use scale 1:35 (or 1:38?), but 1:40 is better. Minifig illusion scale is what most ships here are. It's usually a ship on prefab hulls which looks like minifig scale, but is actually too small.
  24. Nice job Especially great work on Gentleman Ghost. Only too bad that Sweet Tooth his hat isn't very visible due to the white background.
  25. The official trailer of the new LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean game is there! Along with some nice screenshots of te game. Enjoy: Screenshots. Thanks to Eurobricks member sologuy369 EDIT: And of course it's [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]
