  1. Yes, but, I modeled it after the 80's Kenner toy. Plus, I didn't want to make trees that were 2 or 3 feet tall with the village being a foot or 2 above the ground. And that would have been another 1000 pieces. Jamie
  2. I have been playing with this for sometime now. I think I have it as close to complete as I can get it in LDD. Real bricks may be a long way off, no time. Here is a link to the project on CUUSOO: Click here Larger pics can be seen in my Brickshelf folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=508424 . I have also submitted this to CUUSOO, in hopes of it become a set one day. So what do you think?! Jamie
  3. Cool, someone else from Michigan!! I'm in Saginaw, so I'm about an hour from the Lego store. I take a trip down there every 6 months or so. Welcome to Eurobricks, Jamie
  4. I haven't watched the Ultimate SM cartoon. Didn't know DD was in it. Never thought of him as a SM villan, but, then again. I haven't read a comic in years, do they fight in the comics? Darn, I was hoping for a FF set. Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben would be great to have, IMO. Jamie
  5. Dr. Doom?? Can you say FF sets coming out next year, fingers crossed! Hopefully Galatus and Silver Surfer won't be far behind. Jamie
  6. You get it, I get it! But, no matter how many times you explain it, some people will NEVER get it. Just like all the people yelling "you ruined my childhood" at this movie, that movie, whatever. Same thing, just save yourself the energy and ignore them. Jamie
  7. To me it looks almost great. Not perfect, but, close! The cockpit will need to be worked on a little, but, the shape of the rest is spot on, IMO! Angles are close. Can't to see this one, next to the UCS B-Wing I built. Jamie
  8. The pic look interesting. Is there actully a bridge in there?? It looks like it. Can't wait to see what this retails for and what the piece counts are. Jamie

    Kre-o

To add to my earlier post, Target has their Kreo sets clearanced as well. I picked up Jazz, Mirage, Prowl, and Sideswipe at my local Target for $32US. They were $8 a piece. So, I managed to pick up the whole line for around $150. The quality as the thing I most worried about. I have found them to be alot better then Megabloks, but, slightly less the Lego, IMO. They suffer some of the same problems Lego does with instructions with grays, dark grays, and blacks being hard to tell apart. But, well worth it for the discounted prices. Maybe not full retail, but, if you find them on sale or clearanced, well worth it. Jamie

    Kre-o

I was at my local Wally world yesterday and saw they had clearanced their Kreo sets. I had been on the fence about them since the line came out, but I couldn't go wrong with the prices now. I picked up Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Sentinal for about $120. Prime was $30, the rest were $20 or $15. So, YMMV, but, it is worth checking out. WM does their clearance by store, so happy hunting. Jamie
  11. These!! And I would add a Chrome Silver Surfer, maybe a promo fig for next year?? Like TC-14 and Hulk were this year. Big hulk like, Gray Hulk, Thanos and Darkseid. Hopefully an Angel or Archangel minifig will have a new wing piece, so he could be standing with wings "rested" or in flight with wings spread. A Venom would be nice, but, I would want them to be bigger then Spider-Man, but, small than Hulk. Won't happen, wishful thinking. But, I would hope for a molded head with tongue and not printed. Maybe use Woody's Legs for him to give a larger than Spider-Man appearance? Sentinel and the X-Men set with Nightcrawler, Colossus, Beast, big Juggernaut, maybe a Danger Room set. Galactus set with FF. If Lego could figure out how to make clear figs an Invisible Girl would great! Mr. Fantastic could use Woody's legs from Toy Story. Big Hulk like Thing! A Ghost Rider set. Him and a bike and I'm happy to buy whatever set he is in!! No questions asked! My list could go on and on. I have been a nerd for a long time....... Jamie
  12. You guys have to remember, some of us have been collecting for a number of years. I have always liked Lego, I can remember building when I was a kid and growing up with Classic Space sets in the late 70's early 80's. But, had a dark age and Star Wars brought me out of it. So I have been collecting from the beginning and have no plans on stopping anytime soon. So my number, of about $15k without MOCs and such, is 14 years of collecting!! Which is about $1071 a year on average. So less than a hundred a month. That really is not that much when you break it down, but, added together over time, it adds up. Jamie
  13. These and a Rancor!! An episode II set from the Arena would be nice too. Maybe make 3 sets: Small set with a Nexu and Obi, a pillar and some Geonosians, a generic Jedi or 2, Battle Droids Medium set with a Reek and Anakin, a pillar and some more Geonosians, Mace Windu, maybe another Jedi, Battle Droids Large set with an Ackley and Padme, a pillar some more Geonosians, with their chariot thingy and Jango, Dooku, Battle Droids, Poggle the Lesser Each would come a tan, sandy section and maybe a trap or door. Am I the only one how wants more beast from Star Wars?? But, here is a questions for you! Would rather see Lego make beasts brick-built or molded like the new Dinos? Personally, I would rather them be molded. I think they would look better. Jamie
  14. My insurance agent told me that my homeowners will not cover collectibles unless there is a rider on the plan. The coverage from my homeowners was more than the quote from www.collectinsure.com, so I went with them. Your dad my be right, but, it is worth looking into to be sure. I also had to get one for my drums and guitars, there not covered either. Basic homeowners will only cover basic items in the house. Your welcome, Jamie
  15. Just wondering what companies you guys go with to insure your collections? I use www.collectinsure.com. A year of insurance runs me less than $200 US. Not bad when you think about, especially for what you get, IF something happens. Jamie
  16. According to Brickset, I have spend just under $15,000 on sets. But, that is not what my collection is worth, some sets I have are worth more now, like 10179. I have one built and one still sealed. That's $1000 on Brickset , but, we all know it's more!! Maybe 20k total. Brickset doesn't take into account MOCs, so I would put the number around $25k. Include some of the Toy Fair Promos and limited stuff I have, maybe more like $30k. But, like Cavegod said, I have mine insured for more!! My house goes, I could buy a new car with the insurance check, but, I wouldn't. I'd buy more Lego! Jamie
  17. Anyone else notice a Target Tax?! I went to buy the new Dino HQ at Target the other day. I knew it was $99 US on Lego.com. But, when I got to the aisle, I see it's $111.99. Toys'r'US has it for $109.99, but, Wal-Mart is still $99. Jamie
  18. I'm sure they had everything ready to go with this, much like Firefly! They just needed it to get to 10k. Which is great, hopefully they already have prototypes done and we'll see the first of these before Christmas?! Jamie
  19. Why not us the Microfigs from the games. They can be printed, I only have the Battle of Hoth game, no others. But, they look, cool! Maybe even use one for Wasp! I haven't opened my game, so I don't know if they have a hole in backs or not, but, wouldn't be hard to make one with a hole to attach wings. Jamie
  20. Went to the Thursday, midnight show with some friends! Took my 8 year old son and let him skip school Friday morning for it. He wore an Iron Man costume with the full head helmet, red gloves and I put red socks over his shoes, but, under his costume. The atmosphere before the movie was awesome. All the people, TV news crews. My son had a blast!! After the movie was out, he kept screaming in the parking lot, "best day EVER". He had people wanting their picture taking with him all night. He watched the movie with his helmet on, but, the faceplate of it up. The movie was EPIC to say the least, perfect, no, but, as close as you can come, IMO! We will be seeing again, hopefully Sunday. My son already wants to dress as Thor to see it. Sorry to go on about my little superhero, but, I thought someone would get a good laugh out of it. But, seriously, the movie was a great mix of action and comedy. Hulk made the movie and some of the biggest laughs were for his actions. "Puny God"! Coulson will be back, I think, the actor is signed on for more movies! Thanos will be awesome to see. I can't wait to see Thanos and Hulk go at it. Iron Man 3 will kick off Avengers phase II, from what I've read. Sounds like they will use the same formula, 3 or 4 movies that lead into Avengers 2. Iron Man 3, Cap 2, Thor 2, maybe another Hulk movie, then Avengers 2. Jamie
  21. 8000+, It gained 40 votes in the 8 hours I was at work. Should hit 10,000 votes sometime during the month of May! Jamie
  22. I posted this on Cuusoo the other day, about the stands and plaques. He has made them already and posted them! Very cool!! Stand More Lightsabers on Flickr! Jamie
  23. I don't think the sturdiness of them is a question, IMO, they would be more for display. But, we all know some people would have fights with them. I suggested stands for them, similar to those by Master Replia, but, with a UCS Data Plate for them. The price shouldn't be bad. I'm guessing $30 to $75 for them. They will differ depending on which you buy. Yoda's, $30. Luke's or Vader's, $40 to $50. Maul's, $75, depending on single or double bladed? As for the blades, I don't think they will offer them. But, that wouldn't stop others from Briclinking blades for them. Hopefully we will see Trans-Purple and Trans-Green cylinder pieces sometime soon. Jamie
  24. Agreed!! I have a feeling around July we will see the 10,000 mark hit. Which, would hopefully mean a January release. Jamie
