  1. I jumped on the UCS X-Wing today too. Had decided I wasn't going to get it since I found it so overpriced, but 20% off made it liveable. Also got these new-in-box sets for less than the MSRP of the 9516. 10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter. 9516 Jabba's Palace 75019 AT-TE 9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor Will probably sell the 75019 and 9500, keep the UCS and use 9516 for parts.
  2. Seriously, EUR 17 for a microfighter set? You have got to be kidding me...
  3. Do we know the prices for the microfighters? The builds don't do anything for me, but I like the X-Wing and Star Destroyer figures. The droid in the X-Wing is nice, and the MF canopy might work as a new droid head too. I'd like to see a better pic of the new Palpatine figure, looks promising but hard to tell.
  4. At the first news of the new blasters, I Bricklinked 20x of each of the three usual SW blasters just to make sure I had what I needed for future mocs. Now that I have those, I agree - new pieces = good! Can't really see a use for the new style either, but I'm sure someone will come up with something brilliant a little down the road.
  5. Great wreckage scene, I really like the overall feel of the scene! A shame you had to cut down on the minifigs.
  6. Nice speeder, new pictures without the studs definitely looks better!
  7. Great work, love that ship! Story is top notch too!
  8. Nice build! There is something about the hat/golden arms on that guys which gives me a steampunk vibe though!
  9. Nice entry, I like the forced perspective - have to try that myself sometime. The Sandcrawler looks really good.
  10. Nice build! The speeder is the highlight for me, but the wreckages looks good too. Good work!
  11. I went a little overboard last weekend when an online store had 40% all Lego: 75020 Jabba’s Sail Barge 9493 X-wing Starfigther 75005 Rancor Pit 75021 Republic Gunship 7914 Mandalorian Battle Pack 75022 Mandalorian Speeder 75013 Umbarran MHC 75023 Julekalender 9679 AT-ST og Endor 9676 TIE interceptor & death star 9677 X-wing starfighter og Yavin This was actually the first time I bought any PT/CW sets...
  12. Since I have close to zero interest in CW/PT stuff this will be cheap for me, a couple of DS packs and that's probably it. I'd like a few of the new figs that are usable for general SW mocs if the BL prices aren't to crazy. Is one of the plant pieces in the Saleucami set a new piece? The one with the twirl?
  13. Who is that 3rd fig in the Vulture Droid set?
  14. Fantastic work as usual MstrOfPppts! Love it! This build is really smooth coming from the parts pile!
  15. Great build! MstrOfPppts is right, you could probably split up these scenes and have them judged. Photos are great too! Well done!
  16. Nice build, I like it! I think the building looks the best in the second pic with the bleys in the gate (if it is a gate that is!). In the first pic I find the building a little too... black! Some horizontal piping would probably help break up all the black in the wall. The bottom interiors looks good with the barrels/engines and whatnot, the upper interior has a nice layout but personally I'd prefer it to be a bit smoother. The container with the stormtrooper & flowers sticks out a bit too much I think. I don't mind using the Hoth rebel torsos and headpieces in a sand environment actually, but I think they would fit better without the white backpacks/hands.
  17. I must admit in general I'm not too fond of late rule changes or last minute extensions, but I don't have a problem with extending the deadline. One thing I would like you to consider though is not letting control of Tatooine be determined by the outcome of this episode, for three reasons: 1) I think it fits better with the Star Wars canon that Tatooine remains lawless/Hutt controlled 2) It fits better with the mission. The mission takes place on Tatooine, but it is not a battle for control of the planet. 3) Diversity of environments for free builds. We have multiple options for building swampy scenes or run-down bars, but only one desert planet (afaik atleast). It is also more of a well known environment to those of us who know SW mainly from the PT/OT movies.
  18. The storm had hit us hard. One of our support A-Wings was the first to spin out of control. I followed it with my eyes as it went down, and it was pure luck that I spotted the small canyon next to the crash site. We quickly headed towards it hoping to find some refuge from the storm. As we approached the canyon, the engines of our skiff cut out - we had to go on foot the last few hundred yards. We were surprised to find a few small buildings tucked into an alcove along the wall, but didn't hesitate to get inside to wait out the storm. Once the worst of the storm had passed we peeked outside. What a mess! Both the A-wing and our skiff were beyond repairs, we'd be lucky to salvage any usable parts at all. The outpost itself was in bad shape and had clearly been abandoned for some time. I could see a speeder wreck, and what looked like a small air defence cannon that at one point must have taken a direct hit. I didn't even want to know what kind of animal the large skull next to the building belonged to. "Hey look!", trooper Daxter yelled, "this generator and power lines looks to be pretty much intact. We might be able to get the communication dish up and running." I looked at Daxter and my new friend Dreb and giggled to myself. Me and Dreb were both dressed up as bounty hunters to get close to the Black Sun without arousing to much suspicion, and we looked like we fit right in with this sorry excuse for an outpost. 30 minutes later we had the generator and power lines all patched up, and using a transmitter pulled from the A-wing wreckage we started transmitting our location. Hopefully rescue was not too far away.... Some details: Extra parts: 3 sails 2 1x6 curved slopes, inverted 1 roof piece 1 burp 8 minifig pieces 2 planet pieces Total: 17 pieces
  19. Good work rebels! I'm working on restoring communications, stand by for incoming transmission...
  20. Nice build Ninja Nin, good work! The cockpit/main body section is my favourite. Haven't seen that baseplate before, where is it from? A transparent dish from the A-wing might look good on the engine, but probably not worth taking new photos for. The wings looks a bit messy from one or two of the angles, but that's what you get when working with a limited pile of bricks!
  21. This is gonna look sooooo amazing in bricks...
  22. These are just awesome, great work!
  23. Great stuff! I love both the vehicles! I think you need to watch your extra part count though, 4 Stormtroopers (4 pieces each + 1 one them has a pauldron I think?), Astromech (4 pieces), 4 wheels, goggles = 26 extra pieces.
