  1. Yeah, I don't care for the aftermarket tires and wheels either.
  2. As far as I can tell the roof is built on a hinge, thus making it perfectly legal. I can't imagine how your wife must have it built.
  3. So the real question for those of you who have seen these new sets is, are there any new parts?
  4. I'll be the first to admit that when I see a model with new parts that were created by modifying existing parts, it is very hard for me to take the model seriously and I lose interest rather quickly. I don't mind the coloring of parts(like chroming) as long as it looks like it was professionally done and not with a can of spray paint in someone's basement.
  5. Wasn't building a new body for the crawler the original challenge/contest that we heard about many months before the Crawler even was released?
  6. I am not very impressed with it either.
  7. And like someone else said here before, the pictures seem to get leaked out of the same place(or in that same region) every year. Like it's done on purpose to create hype.
  8. I see the date on the Racer says Feb instead of Jan, that is why I was asking if it was the spring set like the logging truck and the supercar. Those fuzzy pics from last week. Brickipedia has a picture of it.
  9. Here is a very rare part that someone is asking an insane amount for. $1,897.00 each
  10. So the Grand Prix Racer is the spring set for 2013?
  11. Were there new pictures? I don't see any. Was there an error in the leaked picture that claimed it was 57cm?
  12. WOW! What a beautiful model! The front steering control arms seem a bit too bent upwards, but then again, I am not familiar with this type of auto.
  13. If you read through the description, there seems to be quite a few people that have been tracking the users who have mysteriously been supporting it. I highly doubt that the creator was behind it because he is a very popular "Celebrity" builder.
  14. Looks like they caught a cheater at Cuusoo using fake accounts.
  15. Well it looks like hundreds of fake accounts were indeed used over at Cussoo to help someone gain a boost in support. Projects like this should just be pulled from Cuusoo if cheating occurs. I don't know why some regular person would go out of their way and create 100's of fake accounts to boost up someone else's model. If the creator wants to gain supports, then let him go about it the way that everyone else has to, not by deceiving the system. Also supporting other projects is a good way to get other people to support yours.
  16. It's nice to see this subject get cleared up in a very civilized way.
  17. I have met Paul several times and he is a very pleasant person to be around. Very humorous guy.
  18. I don't see how anyone could build a model that would be Lego quality to be a real set in such a short time unless a model is submitted that has already been previously built. And if that happens, then that would be unfair to anyone who just finds out about this contest and is already at a disadvantage because someone had more time to build a similar themed model. How can someone start on a project and possibly compete with someone else who has been building a model for say a year?
  19. Well, I can assure you that here in the states it is probably the least popular in the world. For example, I was looking over many diferent picture sets at Flickr that people took from this last brickfair and other than the Morgan 3 Wheeler, I didn't see any technic models and I know Paul had his cars there, so that should tell you something.
  20. Isn't the point of these shows to display your own MOC? I've been to shows before and seen some less than spectacular models, but at least they were designed by the person who brought them to the show. Perhaps Brickfair needs to find someone with more experience to be in charge of selecting the Technic models for award consideration next year. I hate seeing plagiarism in Lego models and Paul, I know that you've had plenty of people do this to you.
  21. Something about the angle of the front windscreen in that Countach looks a tad odd. Like where it meets the roof.
  22. Paul, that is really awesome looking in white. And it only took what? 3 years since you originally designed it?
  23. Here is the LINK to the tires. Here is a LINK to the tires without the Technic Racing print from the 8674. And the Michelin tires from the Williams set.
