  1. That was great fun, and one of the most satisfying team wins I've had. Thanks for a fun game, Pies, and thanks to a well-oiled scum team!

    Post your own art

The year has been very busy. I finished it with these: There was a lot more since I last posted here, but these are ones that I'm most happy with.
  3. I have to go to work, so this is my adieu. No hard feelings, I know the difficulty of the situation the town was put in, even though Naemr's logic is entirely faulty, and it's pretty scummy to jump onto faulty logic for a lynch. Scum are having a cakewalk this time around, it seems. With town fighting amongst themselves as much as they are, there isn't much they have to do. Good luck against the Servants of Loki!
  4. Are you proposing 6 or 4?
  5. Well, at first, I figured he was trying to avoid my attention, and I was suspicious of him (though I only brought it up in private), but I didn't make an issue of it in public, for the sake of avoiding a tantrum. It wouldn't make that much sense though, because polite, rational Snotra is more suspicious than the regular one. I figure in general, he has been trying to avoid taking a dump on the whole game as he the characters he always seems to play traditionally have. He's had terrible luck in the past getting stuck with the rudest, most obnoxious characters virtually every game. This time his character is about 60% less rude. It's probably an innocuous, genuine coincidence.
  6. Two lies that are being considered fact: - A night action successfully caught me. No, it's claimed that I was blocked. We don't know that Naemr's claim of blocker is true. Assuming it is, I am vanilla, therefore was not blocked. -Snotra and I were buddies. No, he agreed with me. I have yet to interact with him. If you like, you can say he was trying to buddy up to me, but I think the actual case was just our opinions on Mursi coming into alignment, and neither of us being so stubborn as to change our ideas based on mutual dislike. I'm all for theorising, but it's hard to have an accurate view of events when some people, either out of ignorance or intended deceit, keeping misstating things.
  7. At the very least, I hope you can keep the conversation going. Whenever the day goes dead, it's a sign scum are winning.
  8. Well, this is an unfortunate situation. I have no action, and was not the reason someone didn't die. As Patrekr put together, Jami was likely killed by scum. That places the finger directly at Lefsi and Finn because they knew his night action. At the very least, we should be testing Wilhalm's fishy claim first. As it is, with eight of us dead, it's quite possible a vig has died, and no killer was blocked, nobody was protected. There's a major lack of thought and discussion about this situation, just the typical rush when a bandwagon forms. The town should be at about 9-5 against town right now, it'll be 8-5 tomorrow. With a scum kill, and one or two others, town could lose it tonight. But, it is an unfortunate situation. With Naemr's claim (which is dubious at best, especially his 'results'), this is hanging over my head, and I know that some here wouldn't believe I was town at this point even with an investigation proving it. I've seen it happen before and been on both sides (lyncher and lynchee), and every time it resulted with a lynch, or at the very least, a vig kill. So, the town can't go forward with me around. As I said, I'm vanilla, so it could be worse. I hope the vig chooses wisely tonight and doesn't cost us the game. I'm not going to hold myself all that responsible, since it's been nearly impossible to communicate with some here, and I've been as clear as I could be. I tried to be an active vanilla 110%. So I wish the town good luck. When I come up town, please consider the following lynches/vig kills: -Wilhalm - his claim is no good. The more I think about it, the scummier he is. - Naemr - After nearly being lynched yesterday, it couldn't hurt to make a fake claim and get a townie lynched. Scum have almost won. After all, he's not really claiming I killed, just that he thinks so, so it won't be hard to walk back from that statement. - Helga - Talking a lot to look busy, but not really doing anything. Repeating others arguments. Trying to stay in a number two or three position, so no heat goes onto her when lynches go bad. -Dagstyrr - Just being apathetic and scummy, very out of character. And I still have very unsettling feelings about Rurik. He is a hard one to read, but he isn't particularly adding to things, more of being devil's advocate. But I'm on the fence with that. Vote: Wilhalm (Whitefang) You're right, there is no argument when a vanilla gets 'blocked.' No 'evidence' either
  9. This. I think we would be better off to find out what's happening between Finn and Lefsi than to waste a vote on me.
  10. It's great that you made your claim when you did; when you were someone with a big target on your back. I'm going to explain why your theory was misguided from the start: -There was no bromance with Snotra. I have avoided him all game. Not a single PM. He has agreed with me, quoted me, but I have kept my distance, because I don't enjoy interacting with him whatsoever. -My "Sigrid/Mursi" list has mostly cleared Mursi. That is scummy because?.... -I don't have what it takes to run a scum team. I may love being full of bluster, but it's a joke. If you check the record, I have about a 10% success rate as town, and a 0% success rate as scum. That you buy into that (or claim to) shows that you aren't really paying attention. For my part, I have no idea if I was blocked. I am vanilla. Track me, investigate me, whatever, I have no fear. My "towniest of town" routine was meant to waste scum roles on me more than anything else, and hopefully it did on night one. Unfortunately, Mursi's pitt bull impression has drawn way too much 'town' energy at me, and I'm sorry I've probably done more to hurt town than help it, in the absolute balance. No shit? Seriously? Mursi thinks I'm scum? I'm flabbergasted.
  11. Sorry, I meant I would elaborate my thoughts on Wilhalm later in the post, as I did in the end. What? Maybe there's a SK, maybe there isn't. I'm on the fence and looking both ways. Sorry, not going to do this now. I've been at this over an hour, reading and writing, and real life is coming back into play.
  12. I'm wondering about it. Who do you think it could be? I think it's more likely that you saw I had proposed them as lynchees, said, "Hey, great! Goo goo, ga ga!" then voted for Petr. Then, when the chance came up, you throw it at me, saying it was suspicious at the time. It was that last part, where you pushed your story too far. Finding it suspicious in retrospect, maybe, but finding it suspicious at the time and keeping your mouth shut? No way. Doesn't happen. I think Gofraid was a pretty clear townie. Whether his theories were right or not, it appeared he was working for the town... Sorry, us. I wrote us.
  13. Sorry, the town and scum did. The group did. The majority of people placing votes did. Are those more natural townie English? Would any townie write that? How would you have phrased it differently?
  14. No. It appears he was just plain old stubborn and bull-headed. Easy to confuse those things though. My apologies, Mursi. Too convenient of you to find issue with this now. You had no issue with it because it was a townie thing to do, and you voted along with that. Nobody was under any obligation to follow it, and they were welcome to disagree. There were 12 hours to get a split town together. I wasn't suggesting that 24 hours before, 48 hours before, much less at the start of the day (see below). If you want to keep bringing it up, it's reflecting on you. It's pretty clear to me what I was doing. I will now. Unfortunately, it takes a heck of a lot more time to figure out what you're saying about others whose allegiance I don't know than it is to explain about myself. You honestly think Gofraid was a target for the vig? That's far-fetched. I could think of others more likely (Naemr, for one). He was one of the more active townies. I agree that Jarni would be a good SK target, unlikely to be watched. Yes... More on that. That's pretty smart of you, to not restrict the list in the first hours of the day with little to go on. Clever. I would never have thought of that <because you need a sign to tell you what sarcasm is. That wasn't sarcastic, you seem to need it.> I was dead serious. I make a lot of talk about reading through the votes, but I can only think of three times when I was able to successfully do so, out of however many times I've been in this situation, and Gofraid made a connection I didn't. I was respecting his efforts. Said the person who has said and done next to nothing. I suppose you wouldn't suggest looking at some of the people being far quieter than usual and flying under the radar? I have to regretfully acknowledge that Mursi is probably (stubborn, bull-headed) town. I just think it is unlikely that he would put himself out there so far in front on day one except that he was magnetically attracted to Petr. He's lucky Petr didn't choose him instead of Tumi. For today, I want to hear more about -Naemr. I think it's surprising that we couldn't get a lynch. -Wilhalm. His claim is very convenient when there may not even be an SK out there, and if even there is one, that role might not be in the game. -Dagstyrr. Doing nothing much, barely voting, very out of character. -Helga. Repeating accusations of others, looking busy, not actually doing much. -Rurik. He's cagey. Cautioned strongly against reading things into Sigrid's allegiance. Wondering if he's a SK. And a bunch of others. There are only about two that I have a good town reading on.
  15. Why does Helga need things re-explained to her? All of her questions for me are things that have been explained already. She's unable to understand, or wants to muddy the waters? Mursi asked me about Petr's wacky antics, and I let him know that it was within his character to be wacky. To pull a stunt to try and draw people out. I wasn't saying he was definitely town, but that it should be kept in mind when making a decision. Mursi had no interest in it. That's really misleading. I didn't know he was faking anything. I did think his explanation was plausible. And when he sent a PM to me about Tumi (while I was sleeping) before he died, that really made him lean town. But at the time, I was quite unsure, and would have been willing to vote for him to secure a lynch. Really? The only person who took issue with it at the time was Kristel. It's convenient that you see this as a scum tell now, and not at the time when you jumped on the Petr bandwagon. There were around twelve hours left, and there wasn't going to be a lynch. So I suggested we rally our votes around the top three suspects. Get it? I didn't choose those people. The town did. They were the top three. Making it sound like I just plucked these three and forced you to vote for them is completely misleading. Again, you should have brought it up at the time if you thought it was a scum ploy to manipulate the vote. But you didn't.... I wish I could address the rest of what you've said, but I have to work, and I'm already going to be a little late because I wanted to deal with this attempt to distract the town. Helga.
  16. You found something I wrote scummy? No shit. Unbelievable At this point it goes without saying that the brick wall that is Mursi is going to find a way to take whatever I say as a scum tell. He sure isn't actually thinking about it. Let's recap his vote yesterday: Dufa: Mursi did push to change the lynch from Sigrid to Petr. Mursi: He's trying to get me vig killed! Scum!!! :cry3: Dufa: I said 24 hours before that if Sigrid was town, you were most likely town, since a scummy would have no reason to make that move. That is not trying to get you vig-killed. Mursi: He's back-tracking on stuff! Scum!!!! :cry3: :cry3: Vote: Dufa! I think there was more baby talk on his part though. So you know what? Let's just say that every little thing I say, no matter what, is a scum tell in the eyes of Mursi, then we won't have to hear you flap your gums so much. And when this is all said and done, you can either say A) sorry, I had to. I was scum or B) sorry, I read it wrong. To the rest of town, Mursi is currently figuring out how to make this post a scum tell too. At Jami, I don't know if you are the brick wall type like Mursi or not, but the main thing with my vote yesterday is that there is a plausible argument against Naemr, and I was willing to go with it. I don't think a scum team would allow what he wrote, but that was one part of a very large argument against him and a single point doesn't prove him innocent. Some people get their hearts set on a person being scum or town, and allow no amount of information to affect their decisions. I am not like that. I like to take information into account and make decisions based on it. Unless I'm the investigator, I'm always thinking in probabilities, and am never decided 100% either way, until I have evidence. You can call that a scum tell and being contradictory, but I think that's important in this situation: the ability to reevaluate information on the fly and adjust.
  17. It's very interesting analysis you've done, Gofraid I wish I had thought of it.
  18. I'm wondering a lot about yesterday's vote (except Mursi's, that's pretty obvious). Seven people didn't vote. (WhiteFang, Fugazi, Hinckley, Sisco, Bob, Captain Nemo, CallMePie) Sigrid excluded, how plausible is it that six townies wouldn't vote? Were the scum avoiding a lynch on a scummy (Naemr), without putting their necks on the line by pushing another lynch? Wary made some good points, better than anyone else, so that should have gone through. I'm also feeling suss on Wilhalm. As much as the psychologist is a role, considering the last Ragnarok had two vigs and no SK, it is a rather convenient claim, unlikely to be counter-claimed.
  19. What? Can you you show any case for that at all? You've said some inane and baseless stuff, but that takes the cake. You did rally against Petr, and votes did swing. That's a fact. I think we should wait for Sigrid allegiance to come in, because, as I already said, if Sigrid is town, you most likely are too, since a scum wouldn't rally to push a lynch of one townie over an other. That is not trying to get the vig to kill you. Learn to read. I know you're being a brick wall, but this is really not asking too much, is it? Let's look at what was said, ACTUALLY. You think scum are more likely to be able to make an inactive member play than to have influence of an active member. That's dumb. I've been on scum teams where someone wasn't active, and you can pester them all you want, but if they don't read the board, that's all you can do. Conversely, active scummies do try to run things by their teammates, and what Naemr wrote would never have passed. You think it would, fine, that's another strike against you. You use (in PM) the example of Flipz totally breaking from his team as an example. That's even dumber. He had a tantrum and exploded. That is not anything like what Naemr did. Your arguments are full of holes, and you're doubling down on them. Vote for me, go for it. I'm town, I know it. I have nothing to hide. My advice to you is to wake up, read what was actually said rather than trying to make facts fit your pre-established confusion, and stop trying to lynch townies. *confusion > conclusion Though I think Mursi's confusion is well established in this case too.
  20. Really? Helga isn't aware of all the arguments going on in thread? She isn't combing it for things to use? That's a shock to me. I think Rurik asked me the same earlier, I suppose you missed it? I thought he was being scummy on day one, but I have come to understand he simply doesn't know what's going on. Not to inability, but just to inexperience. So, he's not really pinging me now. Particularly when the swing came, when Mursi tried to rally things against Petr, and the votes rapidly switched to Petr. What is not suspicious about that? I don't get it. I really don't. A guy was being quickly lynched, then even faster someone else got lynched. That's something. It's right there. It seems to me that some people are strongly cautioning us not to use any info from a lynch. And by thinking we won't learn much, certainly we won't learn much about your affiliation, right? You were one of the ones who came in for Petr. Hmm. I'm pretty sure Wary is town. His reasoning is fair and is honestly active. That one point about Naemr I doubt, because scum usually run down their strategy with teammates, and it never would have passed. Maybe you disagree and think it was a plausible strategy (you must, since you bring it up ). Naemr should know everything's random, or he shouldn't be here. Right? Who's "he"? The connection between those two quotes was a little vague. Since Sigrid is not going to be here tomorrow anyway: Unvote: Sigrid I'm going to reread the rest of the points about Naemr to see if I think it justifies a vote. This is a good point. This reply in particular rubs me the wrong way: There are a lot of ways to defend, but pleading the fifth isn't one of them. A townie doesn't give up. Vote: Naemr (Captain Nemo)
  21. Not you. I used the passive form, not the transitive. Rurik has for sure, I think Gofraid, can't remember. It's out there though.
  22. You know what? I'm pretty tired of this. Sigrid couldn't be scum, because he would have been coached better, I've been told more than once, though I disagree. Now apparently I'm defending Naemr because I think what he wrote would be unlikely to get through the scum process. Stick with one theory to attack/discredit me. Consistency, you know? Sorry, but this is the point where things are just getting stupid. I wasn't saying any of the people examining my ideas were scum because I could, in most places, see their point. But to have contradictory points laid out on me repeatedly, it stinks. A few times is coincidence, but this many times, some scum are involved.
  23. Because quiet people do nothing, while it's easier to stop people from doing something. They don't have 100% control, but they have some influence.
  24. Please don't take this as a defines of Naemr, but... With my suspicion of Sigrid, there is this talk of what a scum team would and wouldn't allow. Now, in Sigrid's case, I don't think he did anything that a scum team wouldn't allow/could stop. But this? Proposing that scum could be found based on surviving players from the last time around? I imagine him writing it on the scum board, and everyone saying NO! DON'T! The only plausible thing I could see is him saying, "it'll be so out there, I can't possibly be scum." But I think that's too complicated. A lot of players in early games miss this fundamental point, that roles are to be selected by random. Except when the host doesn't know how to host right, but I don't think this is that kind of game. So, I'd chalk this one up to Naemr needing to expand his fundamentals.
