@koalayummies This is actually my video and shadowbox. Thanks @splatman for posting it to this great forum. I have a few custom mini modular I need to post...now that I think about it, Koalayummies, I was attempting to make a mini version of your hardware store mod last time I was messing with LDD.

@Legogal Thanks! I decided a while ago that I can't justify buying and displaying such big models. And for me, it's a lot more fun to design and build my own models. @KamalMYafi Thanks!! I've had the idea for a while. Glad I could finally build it out of real bricks.

@ColletArrow Thanks! I don't think I'll be building any standard size modulars anytime soon due to size and cost constraints. I build in the same scale as the official minis (8x8 baseplate) but mine are a little taller. I think the official minis tend to be 2-3 bricks per floor and mine are 3-4 per floor.

Hey everyone! I haven't built much of anything over the last couple of years but finally got back to it. I designed this mini modular a few years ago and just got around to actually buying the pieces. I initially planned to use red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and purple but decided to go with the dark and sand colors because they're a bit more subdued and fit my mini modular street better. I might swap the sand green and dark red. The dark red seems to be a bit hidden when its with other building and I think think red provides a nice contrast with the rest of the colors. Let me know what you think!

Very cool. I'm a huge fan of Set 4000001 Moulding Machines so to see a mini version is pretty cool. If you're willing to share the plans/pieces of the moulding machine, let me know. Thanks!

^Thanks! @BEAVeR: I like the idea of a ruin. I'll see if I can make it happen!

@BEAVeR: I went through a couple of different flag ideas. I figured it I'd rather have it be a little to big then to look like the little one on the Fire Brigade mini. As to your question about this being a one time thing: initially it seems so...unless you have some other historically themed ideas? I'm all ears!

@Legogal: Thanks! You better believe they're loaded! @Artanis I: Thanks for the feedback. I'd been debating whether a castle was viable at this scale for a while. I thought I found a suitable architecture for the 8x8 scale. I'd love to make a full size castle but one of the reasons I make mini mods is lower piece count = less money

Hello again. I just completed my latest moc mini modular. It's a castle! Some features you'll see include a moat, drawbridge, alligator, and four cannons! Any comments, questions, or suggestions are appreciated. As always, you can see more photos on my flickr. Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you like it!

Hi! I just finished my latest mini modular. It's a mini modular rendition of 10193 Medieval Market Village. I tried to keep it simple because I had most of these pieces on hand and only needed to order a handful or so. Anyways, I hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Front: Back: All 7 so far: I reaaaally need to make another corner building. Thanks for looking!

Thanks legogal, lightningtiger, and thelegodr. I'm looking for inspiration on my next build; we'll see what happens! @TheLegoDr: if you need the ldd file for ollivanders, let me know. I've given out in the past.

Hey! I'm back from a short hiatus with my most recent mini modular build. Here's my sixth build. I got the dark red (1x2) and dark green (1x1) bricks from a PaB cup so I wanted to incorporate them into my latest build. This was initially going to be pink and purple but I didn't have the guts to do it :) Here it is: Front view. I'm undecided on the 1x1 round bricks on the bottom corners. I might revise that small detail. I used the same door technique from past builds. I like it for some reason but need to work on a new technique for variety's sake. Here are all six of my builds to date. From left to right: Apartment, Pizza, Ollivander's, Apartment II, Office, Pumpkin Factory. Let me know what you guys think! Any comments, critiques, or suggestions are appreciated. Enjoy, and thanks for looking. P.S. Maybe an actual camera is in order for the coming holiday season... Edited to update last picture with a cropped version.

I like it. I built one in LDD a few months back. It's a difficult task because it has a larger footprint so it becomes a focal point in a street lineup. I think your's looks nice. Here's mine. Similar styles. Great minds think alike? :) http://www.flickr.co...lla/9177527753/ BTW, when I posted that, someone suggested I add one more brick layer to the first floor. I did that but haven't updated the flickr picture.

Looks nice. You should make some little luggage trailers and connect them to the car.

I wonder if it'll be stable enough to stand on its own; that hair might make it fall backwards.

This looks great! I'm probably going to be getting the cottage soon and start my own village. Since the other three sets are retired, they have climbed in price a bit. Which would you suggest is the best set out of the Bakery, Post Office, and Toy Shop? Thanks!

Very nice build. Is the crawler build (last picture in your signature) your build as well? I've seen it on CUUSOO and have supported it. It's one of my favorite builds on the site; would you happen to have a LDD file of it that you could post? If not, I apologize for asking! Thanks.
