I doubt the 'Busters will be in casual wear, since the only outfits they're known for are their uniforms. -
I bet that's just artistic liberty. An upward-pointing hat would be less useful than a downward one, so they probably won't make it. I do hope that the hat has that dirt printed on it!
-
It's probably just the same old jester hat, and the picture added gravity to the equation. I'd love a new jester hat, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

Since Harley's from the Squad comics, Deadshot probably will be, too. LEGO is not going to directly merchandise anything toward the movie.- 8,446 replies

I like the sound of Jestro's set! Shouldn't be more than $50. Lava pies...brilliant!

That zombie face looks so chilling in this context! Great work!

I'm trying to resist the game itself, but I know I need Doc Brown, the Wicked Witch, Slimer, and Stay Puft regardless of whether or not I get sucked in. (pun intended)

Considering that it's a D2C, the LEGO store will probably be the only place to get it, too. Everywhere else is usually overpriced, and they don't offer VIP points! -
They're minifigures with special weapons and armor attachments.
-
Where are people seeing more pics? I'm not seeing anything more than the promo art and two-page spread containing the Chariot.

Perhaps the Ecto-II? -
The name sounds like a woman.
-
Lava spider lady...cool! What does her body look like? Is it the usual octagonal plate with these new legs attached?
-
Lavaria sounds like a totally awesome minifigure! I can't wait to see her. The new set names sound more final and more typical of set names, so I doubt it's a regional difference. Zombie Chef is quite an odd choice for a placeholder character. Perhaps the Fortrex has a cook? Also, it sounded stupid at first, but Fortrex is actually a pretty clever name, combining "fortress" with rex, which is Latin for "king". It's basically a futuristic way to say the overused name "King's Castle"!

Oh, that's sad...my wallet will be grateful, though.

Again, much of the disappointment comes from the theme's direction. People are unwilling to call it Castle, since this theme is so different, and apparently an insult to Castle itself. I think it's very fresh and creative, and I love the villains. I'm so glad the bad guy isn't an evil wizard. I don't like half of the sets, though, mainly because some of them are very generic and fairly boring. That's the sort of thing we should be complaining about.
-
My point was that Disney and Warner Bros. are rivals, but SW still managed to make it into the film. LEGO's not a division of Disney, so using a DW license shouldn't be able to ruin it.
-
I personally love where this theme is going, but only three sets are appealing to me. I definitely want the Chaos Chariot and Jestro's Companions. Fortrex might join the list once I see the prelims.
-
In Jestro's case, I'm expecting both! I can't wait to find out his origin. Formerly human and corrupted by the spellbook? Monstrous all along? Who knows? But since it's a kid-oriented theme and show, I imagine that the grunts will be goofy monsters while the normal minifigures will be more serious.

Star Wars appeared in The LEGO Movie.

Yes, I do imagine that much of the hatred comes from the letdown, i.e., people expecting this to be a normal Castle theme and finding out that it's a sci-fi Castle theme with an action-theme style. However, I appreciate the new take on Castle, as a more traditional one might be repetitive or boring. If you need LEGO Castle in your life that badly, build something, and be very patient. Jestro might be my new favorite LEGO villain. I love evil jesters, and he's so creepily crazy!
-
Fair enough. I think this theme's relation to Castle is a bit complicated. It has all the classic themes, but not the same spirit. Yes, there's a jester, wizard, king, and knights, but the designs of the sets are hi-tech and wacky, and so far there aren't any locations. So for now, it's very similar in approach to Chima, which has fewer buildings than Ninjago, but it has a similar tone and enemies to Ninjago, what with dark enemies from an evil realm attacking a technological society with old-fashioned ideas. Just one question: Did Merlok use the classic witch hat, or the S12 Wizard's?
-
I understand peoples' unwillingness to call this Castle because they hate it, but I think it has more than enough Castle elements to count. Knights, wizards, jesters, kings, and an actual castle? It's definitely a Castle theme, but it's far from the traditional medieval fantasy many of us wanted.

Robin's the green knight riding on the hover-shield, isn't he? Lance is the one with the lance, Macy's the red knight, and Clay is the orange/gunmetal knight.
-
Those shields are a bit iffy. They look fine to me, though, although I wish the studs were next to each other. And I think the studs will make it easier to integrate them into castle walls, which will be nice.
