DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Penguin's sorta exclusive, since the hat's new, but yeah, he's mostly reused. Hoping that was a typo, but still hilarious. Is that Baby Doll's partner in crime?- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

I'm so conflicted about this set. Yes, I will get it, but I'm let down because only the right part of the set has any play features whatsoever, while the entrance and reactor do nothing. This seems like far too much padding. I understand that few action sequences were part of the cave, but surely some of the parts could have gone to a villain vehicle/gadget? This set is more expensive than the Ewok Village. That set was packed with action features and several more figures.- 8,446 replies

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

LEGO really needs to get their renders in order, because recently, their D2Cs have had bizzare color issues. While I do like the extra bits included, I think it's incredibly weak that they didn't include a proper area to display the cabinets and equipment, forcing you to have them loose on the table or to build your own extension. Riddler looks appropriately simple, but at the same time, looks like a much older figure due to it. Joker's smile is a bit too wide, and much more malicious than I remember him looking. I don't mind, though. Penguin looks really nice with the entirely black suit; it's amazing how much the purple hat and the pants change the look of the figure. I do appreciate the dual-sided head for Catwoman, but I hope Joker has one, too.- 8,446 replies

Wow! Those figs are excellent, so bright and colorful, though Joker's smile is a little disturbing, and Penguin might have done with a new face. Shame about the price, though. I definitely like this set more! And the printed wallpaper bricks are brilliantly engineered! And yeah, the pictures are bizarrely oversaturated, but the video shows them off better.- 8,446 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
For one, game designs are never used because they're created when LEGO themselves don't have designs. They always make their own. Besides, I think he looks pretty good. If we're seriously getting outraged on the lack of boots, I think we need to calm down a little. Boots and his shorts simply wouldn't coexist because the legs don't have enough room to show the green "skin" in between. And LEGO simply won't make a new figure when they already have one that's perfectly good. -

Really? I've never come across that. Any unnumbered bags are usually just giant building plates, which are most often loose in the box, -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

Challenge accepted. -
Sorry, don't see it. Could you post another link, as it might have been swallowed by the LEGO gallery.

I'm not defending NK's castledom, but I don't think it's quite a Space theme, either. Ultra Agents was just as high-tech, but it wasn't space. This is an action theme. No other planets or aliens to be seen. Macy's Thunder Mace has a unique shape, which I like, but the windscreen seems a bit repetitive, and it doesn't seem like it does much. Purchase will depend on the baddie(s) included.

As far as I recall, there's nothing requiring a Cyberman, but if you're just waiting for a complete Doctor Who experience, then I get it. Playing the story before the level pack doesn't make a difference, though, as the level packs are almost as if they were taken from their own games in terms of story; nothing relating to the main plot, and only the star of the franchise appears in the cutscenes.
-
I guess, but to be honest, the levels are my least favorite part of the game, save for the always-entertaining cutscenes. I do think they deserved levels. but it's less for me to play, and the franchises that didn't get levels are the worst ones, in my opinion. I'm honestly feeling a bit cluttered now, with so many toy tags and such little space on the pad. I imagine it'll feel less stressful when the puzzles are all done, and I'm just roaming around for fun. But if LEGO doesn't give us more Wizard of Oz or Doctor Who, I'll be disappointed, as what we have is great, but there's more we should get for this game.
-
Suprisingly, I'm not super hyped for the supposed next group of packs after wave 5. I want some more characters from the wave 1 franchises first. Wizard of Oz and Missy need to happen, and for Portal, I will hold out for ATLAS and P-body due to their being doable robot figs in the cameo appearances, not brick-built. Frankenturret vehicle, maybe? More is good, but I want to see some other characters from the new franchises we just got.
-
Oh, we've had a whole list of abbreviated franchises, but I'm not quite sure if that was confirmed to be real or not. Among other things, the more definite ones were Teen Titans Go!, Harry Potter, and Mr. T.

I don't own Jay, as Zane was the most useful ninja to me, as I needed an X-ray vision character. That's the thing. There's no right way to buy characters, as there are different combinations to have the abilities you need. Okay, so I'm happily solving puzzles, but I'm so impatient for the rest of the waves, so I can access Midway and Ghostbusters, and get the last stinkin' abilities I need. Honestly, putting Aquaman in Wave 5?

Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion
8BrickMario replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
It's more fitting here, but yeah, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it. I don't really care about the answer at this point, I just want to know where this confusion came from if the designer and LEGO seem to disagree. Good that more episodes are coming, though. -
Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion

I liked Alice! It was wonderful over-the-top TV-host cheese, and she'd be a great figure. Since it's not on-topic to the sets, I'm going to introduce a can of worms to this thread: Flama. Sources have conflicted on their gender, with some calling them male, some some saying they're female. Most official promotional material (including an email from LEGO about the question) identifies Flama as unambiguously female, but Alexandre Boudon (Toth) who designed Flama, said the character was designed as a male twin of Moltor. So, did LEGO reinterpret the design into a female, or was there a massive confusion? -
That is one way to look at it, but I won't be considering the development of the character as it's technically not canon to the theme. I'll wait for the show to deliver a final verdict on which Flama is. It would be really cool of LEGO to make your theory official, but I don't think they're going to touch on more complicated issues like that.

The ACU has one very nice ability, though. His staff can charge electric panels. I got the pack for the vine cutting and the gyrosphere and the access to the world, and I'm satisfied.

I don't expect Ventriloquist. Yeah, he'd reuse the bald cap, but otherwise, I don't think it'd look great. Scarface would have to have an oversized hat, which would look too silly, and Ventriloquist is fairly obscure and doesn't really have a place in either set, from what we know.- 8,446 replies

What about it? Scooby's definitely the best tracker, as most of them involve digging things up.

Somehow, it seems like there are so many yet so few characters who might be in these sets, so rumors will be needed for further discussion. I'm just hoping that the next two weeks bring HD pictures of the new Batcave.- 8,446 replies

I think we want LEGO to introduce more female characters in their lines. Yes, it doesn't really matter whichever gender they are, but I personally like to have more female characters, and Flama seemed more feminine to me.
