What minifigs are we missing - post your detailed suggestions here

That would ROCK! Except for one thing: I'd be BROKE! LOL I REALLY like the idea of a female elf...but, I disagree with 'crossbow' as the weapon choice. Crossbows are slow, clunky weapons for the most part and the stereotypical elfin warrior would eschew such a weapon in favour of something with a faster rate of fire and greater elegance. Aaaaaaaaaand, since we ALREADY got an elf warrior with a bow, I'd rather see an elf with a new style of spear, or sword, paired with that awesome shield (or another equally awesome shield), so we could 'mix and match' our elf warriors to get something proper (though that still doesn't address the lack of quiver for the bow-wielding elf from series 3...which is where 'pick a brick' or Bricklink comes in handy, I suppose). Already done...green witch head, grey zombie head, white vampire head. *edit* Whoops! I just noticed that my first post didn't "merge" with my others. Sorry about the double-posting! -

Agreed. I've mentioned it in passing before but, I'd be quite happy with a male version and female version of most of the collectable minifigures, even though many folks have expressed their distaste for so-called 'repeats'. For the 'warrior class' figures, the 'repeat' could be an opponent, such as for the gladiator, hockey player, soccer/football player, etc. IMO, it actually makes them easier to fit into MOCs, existing themes, etc. -
Exactly. The more any given set costs, the less I have to spend on other LEGO sets...and in a year such as this, with sooooooooo many OUTSTANDING sets, it's becoming increasingly important for me to prioritize my spending on LEGO. Unfortunately, this means that some very cool sets will probably get 'pushed aside' simply due to price.

I hope they don't push the release date of series four up TOO much...my wallet needs a chance to recover! LOL -

I have to say, I LOVE those elves! I wish they had done two different elf figures though...one archer, with bow, quiver and cape and one with sword, that AWESOME shield, cape and HOOD (in dark green). Who knows...maybe in a later series? *fingers crossed* -
Great pics! Thanks for the links.

I'm hoping for at least EIGHT different series of figs. I fit two series per 16x32 baseplate and can fit four of those baseplates on a shelf (or two 32x32 but, those are a bit too clumsy for this usage, IMO). I'm pretty sure there are more than enough ideas out there to support that many, or more. Also, I'm on the side of "don't mind repeats" as long as they're the opposite gender (surfers, etc.), or enough of a variant to not be an outright 'duplicate' (such as the skateboarder). I REALLY like to see 'opponents', such as other gladiators, boxers, hockey teams, soccer/football teams, etc. I'm hoping TLG follows THAT particular line of thinking. Oh...and...*ahem*...LEGO group? If you're listening/reading...we still need a 'gill man' figure for our 'movie monsters'. Please and thank you. =) -

Chapters at Kennedy Commons in Scarborough had three boxes worth out at once...one box at the main cash and two boxes worth dumped into a bin in the kids section. I was able to identify elves in about three seconds when looking for mine, so I don't think the 'touch' method is too hard. I found it much harder trying to decipher the dots and gave up on THAT method. -
Was at Chapters (Scarborough's "Kennedy Commons" location) the other day and they had series 3 figures there. One box on the counter up front and then a bin full of figs in the "kids" section right in front of the cash register. At first, I was a bit bummed over the elimination of bar codes, changes in dots, etc., etc., but I picked out fifteen figures and when I got home, they were EXACTLY what I thought they were. 15/15! An easy trick for picking out the cyborg (in case anybody was wondering): feel the legs of the figs you think might be the cyborg, or alien...if it's two normal legs, it's the alien, if there's a peg leg, you've got a cyborg. =)

His sword it totally appropriate for the style of gladiator that he is. That helmet, with that sword and shield is a very distinct style. Hopefully his most common foe (the gladiator with net and trident) will be in series six. -

Another sweet series. Looks like a few more figs that I'll have to try and snag mulitiples copies. -
I've been pulling OT (that would be 'overtime', not 'original trilogy') all week. Have barely had time to even THINK about LEGO! *hides face in shame*
-
Wow. No posts in a week! Slow month? LOL

Back when the TRU truck was released, I read a post saying that there WILL be a THIRD truck in that style...done in green, IIRC. *shrug* We'll see.

I'm a little confused by that as well. All my BP figs looked fine. A wee bit 'loose in the joints' perhaps. I have noticed in some pics by other folks though, that there was a 'pink' problem with the Kingdom knights.

I'm looking forward to the Dwarf, simply because I missed out on most of them in their FC release. -
Personally, I don't trust DHL. I had two different orders ship to me via DHL and BOTH were 'unable to deliver', yet, for BOTH orders, I was home ALL DAY waiting for my doorbell to ring, or for someone to knock at the door, sitting no more than ten feet away from my front door the whole time (building LEGO at my kitchen table, actually). Both times, I found a note in my mailbox when I went to get my mail. So, for both orders, I ended up having to travel to the depot to get them. Thankfully, LEGO doesn't use DHL to deliver to this neck of the woods anymore.

If so, I hope it's available in Canada.

After seeing the baseball player, I have to say, he's pretty cool...except, I REALLY wish they'd done the pinstripe on his BACK, too. He looks REALLY odd with a blank back. -
I wish they sold the polybags on S@H. Sheesh. Would make life SO much easier.
-
Anybody know if that Imperial Speeder Bike polybag is available in Canada?
-
Which is kind of why I wish they hadn't changed the distinctly 'LEGO look' of their animals. Keep the flat heads and forget the 'rounded' look. I actually like Brick Forge's pigs, etc., better than LEGO's, because they've got that traditional 'LEGO look' about them.

Wouldn't be too far off from the "Bull's Attack" set from the first "Knight's Kingdom" days. I'd buy a "Dragons Seige Set" for sure!

I'm glad I read ahead this time, because I was just going to post the same thing! Also, I thought the 'Paradisa' line was pretty cool. It captured that whole 'caribbean paradise' atmosphere quite perfectly. Only problem (IMO) was that the baseplates didn't really 'pair up' well with other baseplates, due to the colours. I had purchased some of those sets for others as gifts but never picked up any for myself at the time, thinking they'd be around for a while. Big mistake.
