I like the idea of option 2 -much like a roller coster, I've seen this done before at many lego events. I might try that myself

Crazy pricing, it's all over the place with out any real logic, maybe something to do with future AUD rates. I just Hope Benny's Spaceship is a reasonable price. Sydney city Myer 20% of all lego sale - no train tracks, no flash sets left. Couple of opera house and one mindstorm set left. plenty of the new super heroes, new starts wars, city stuff -
i have a large collectiom of comics from my early teens to early 20's. mostly marvel and image from the 90's - my favourites being spiderman, wolverine and spawn. latley the only comic that keeps me interested is The Walking dead.

just finished the build myself. I loved the build, there were some interesting building techniques, but it does seem small when compared to the pet shop.

The new rebel sets are looking great. Hope we get a "baddie" set(or two) to complement these sets.
-
Awesome . . . Yes another Space man would have been great and a Blacktron figure I wonder what the bad guy looks like (Robot ?)

The cargo train and train stations are a must buy for myself. Due to owning the HE and red passenger train i can't justify buying the new passenger train.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
jtr replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
70 pages are a lot to read through, so sorry for repeating. I can't wait for the movie, i think i(or really hope) it will be great, dare I say cult classic (tounge i check), even for non AFOLs ? Set wise I'm very exceited to see a classic space remake - an absolute 1st day minute must buy. Othe sets that are must buys include, evil lair, plumber and the exo-skeloton suit (sorry no set numbers). Can't wait ! In Aus we have to wait untill April school holidays.- 2,626 replies

My kids and I love a good swoosh, pew, pew, pew and boom crash, which is usually followed by "daddy can you fix the ..." On a seriuos note (which I do apologies for) the swoosh-ability of a set really impacts how often, and how long the set is played for by my kids.

Great review, love all the action shots. I was exceited about this set as my kids (and I) have the heli-plane cargo set, and I thought they would go togeather nicely. Unfortunatley this set seems a little under cooked - maybe I'll pick it up om sale.

new Lego movies CMF at Myer Sydney City store. Plus they are in the process of unpacking a lot of Lego boxes - they where unpacking new creator sets, but the had a lot of boxes to get through. -
Minfigs will go great with the death star and My kids will like the weapons, I can see a lot of lost 1x1 round plates, under cupboards, fridges, pianos, fish tanks, bookshelves . . . . I wonder if this is the beginning of a wave of death star sets ? accumulating in a re-release of the death star ? hahaha

as a newbie, i just wanted to say "this is so cool" - I just worked out what this SoNE stuff is all about. I thinks it's great, hopefully if i get more time (dad with young kids) i'd love to build and enter myself. eurbricks is a great resource for the lego community

It would be bad business to a make minifig range from any normal themes - there are a lot of people who are persuaded to buy the sets for the minfigs (star war and super heroes). Also is there an issue with quality of the CMF range ?
-
nice really like the yellow, cool use of the brick seperator - you could try it in a green colour theme

What does everyone like to do with the Lego sets they buy?
jtr replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Build, play, store - in some partial built state. I try to store similar sets together so i can pull them all out again fix up and play. I haven't pulled any sets apart to moc with, i just can not do it - i dread having to look for all the parts if i wanted to sell or play with it again . . . I'd love to, but may be later when i have a better storage and sorting system -
