  1. Ewok Village confirmed at target for $309 The catalogue is out now
  2. the demo/ build site sets sound sweet. I missed out on the construction wave, so my kids and I will be looking forwad to them
  3. I started this thread because I'm contemplating buying a LEGO 10219 MAERSK TRAIN for $350 AUD (Details) and wanted to know what other Lego train enthusiast would be willing to pay for this set. I'd probably be persuaded to buy the set if others where willing to pay close to that amount - ah you got love how we try and justify our wants. I thought this may be useful for other retired Lego trains sets so please feel free to add you own . . ."I'd be willing to pay X for set xxxxx" Me, I'd be willing to pay $250 -$300 for a 10219 MAERSK TRAIN
  4. Has anybody dealt with a damaged box from S@H ? I wanted to know if it was worth the bother or to just let it go . . (let it go, let it go - i cant get frozen out of my head now). I received the ghost bust set, but they packed the free give away on top and it's beat up with one tiny hole - it's defiantley not MSIB
  5. S@h australia has retro spaceman d2c up now
  6. My math was a little off, at $310 it's a definite lay-by for me - now I need to get hold of the other Endor sets
  7. I think it will be cheaper from amazon dot com $300 delivered vs Target's usual 20% off $325 ish, but you can layby at target :)
  8. I don't see the point of the side pillions myself -they look a little strange. I think I'll remove them, might use them to extend the covered rail section Just waiting for Amazon.com to stock 2014 train sets
  9. Hording for the sake of greed ruins it for all and is pretty poor. Agree there seems to be a large (speculative) lego investment bubble - just too many people with the same idea. I hate to think that all this horded lego never actually hitting the market because the price never rises more than 30% (and other factors) I can see storage shed auctions in the future "doh, not another lego haul" Also i could never buy a MSIB, say the Zombie set for $200, and actually open it - my rational brain would be unable to process this.
  10. I think I'll pick this up now, there are always too many city trucks, but this review sold me.
  11. Great review. Shame about those stickers, but I think I'll pick up two of this set.
  12. Pretty awesome love the design of the inside building
  13. I guess i just missed out. If it falls through pm'ing you
  14. Reminds me of my local Big W and Target, where just about all copies of a Lego mini figure book where missing the actual minifig. Although it seemed to be starwars books/mini figures manily
  15. Thank I picked up a couple of units - although I'd rather spend the $60 on Lego
  16. Hi all, This is not set related, but is Australia and buying for lego related - I wasn't sure were to post the question . . . so . . Does anybody know a good Lego storage (parts) solution available in Australia similar to the Arko-Mils (from http://tomalphin.com/2014/03/from-buckets-to-bins-how-to-sort-a-lot-of-lego.html) ? I need to sort my Lego parts Thanks
  17. Half of my modular collection sits on top of out unused piano the other half in a cupboard. The only time the two halves meet is when the kids an I set up the Lego city in the kids toy/play area. I must say, I'm pretty jealous of some of your Lego rooms, I'm luck to have a Lego shelf . . .
  18. just pop into Myer Sydney CBD, along with the toy "sale" they are giving away collectable Lego movie cards, 2 for every $30 spent (on Lego I think - that's all I bought so not sure)
  19. For rare sets it's okay, I thinks it's pretty poor, based on the above, it's almost 10% (remember this is double points) - considering it's D2C and there is no middle man
  20. yes please, been looking ages for one.
  21. I checked amazon.com, and after conversion the ewok set is $AUS320 delivered - not bad considering s@h price is 390
  22. just wanted to say - there aren't any sales at the moment . . . haha, but seriously toys r us has 25% off constrution toys. The OR set is at a good price 120
  23. This is great love it . . . we need more train buildings !! Come on TGL . . .I bet a small train shed (with small repair carriage/truck) would sell well.
