  1. Nice build as usual Capt. always love your use of musrooms! Also very nice lantern outside the front door
  2. Penkid, I only add the ones that will be judge. A couple people did more than one build and I didn't add the two I built I was trying to keep it organized for the contest and hope I got everyone's builds. Don't worry though It will still count toward free build points for the guild though and would be happy to score yours as well and send you a PM. I think I will take all the builds and add them to one list. First page of the Varlyrio Guild page maybe?
  3. Thanks, changed it!
  4. thanks to everyone who enter the contest. Overall there were seven outstanding entries. Kudos to those that made additional builds for Varlyrio. Keep them coming and remember you can earn free build points for your guild by including your sigfig or a representative from your Guild. Kabel - Vinery at St. Gustavo de Gothia - de Gothia in Varlyrio Kai NRG - Life in Varlyrio Masa of Kaliphlin - The Convent of St. Rafya in Illyria Soccerkid6 - Life in Illyria Ecclesiastes - Garra Tower Legonardo - Canals or Illyria If I missed someones build let me know and I will add it to the list! Look for an announcement of the winner on Tuesday! (judging has been a lot harder than I imagined)
  5. excellent Capt. can't wait to see what you have in store. I broke down a couple past builds and re sorted the pieces. As usual, I get side tracked and start putting them back together! I should be able to do a couple smaller MOC working up to Challenge VI
  6. my plan is too but I have just been soo busy over the holidays that I haven't had time for anything Lego. I an nearly ready to announce the winner of the Daily Life contest
  7. so Challenge VI is announced and it looks like I need to get thinking! three builds, one an interior, march 31 deadline. I imagine their will be some monumental builds for this one...Is there any info on this years Brickworld yet? Mikey
  8. This year seemed to fly by for me! the last two weeks have been crazy busy for me I haven't had any time to build. I still have lots on my initial list of builds I would like to finish. One thing I would like to do is a larger castle.
  9. Great build and inspires me to build something similar for my family!
  10. The only avalonia challenge I have left is the King of the Castle one. I have an idea but I've been busy the last few weeks and not had as much time as I would like to devote to it. I also had my oldest daughter want me to build her a little red ridding hood scene so I have been piddling around with that. I have a couple other builds I want to do, both in Circardia and Varlyrio, but again time is limiting me right now.
  11. I find them in different places at different walmarts, all are in toy section. One has them hanging near the end of an isle but not necessarily the lego isle. Last night I stopped at a Walmart and they had three of the actual boxes of Series 8 in the lego isle.
  12. As much as i hate going to the stores this time of year, I think I will have to make the rounds today! nice foliage too!
  13. thanks to everyone who enter. We will announce the winner in a week or two once the voting has been tabulated. For those that didn't make the deadline, Varlyiro freebuilds can still earn your guild points. just put your sigfig or another typical guild citizen into your build
  14. nice map Legonardo! As someone who has dabbled at making maps, i can appreciate all the effort that went into this.
  15. Only a couple days before the contest end. Get your entries in before Dec 16!
  16. yeah that is something I am not 100% happy with but I just didn't see anything that I was happy with. I wanted a container type thing but nothing looked right.
  17. I used the smaller holes on the inside of the leaves (vs. the ones on the end) I debated the winter leaves, but I can get past the leaves would have fallen off a tree with the snow...
  18. I was as well. I even had a hard time doing things like swapping arms or hands on a mini fig torsos. But I ordered a few just to see how they looked and overall I am pretty happy with them. @Hyler not familar with that piece but the pipe is two pieces, the top is a round 1x1 stud with a black minifig handattached to the bottom for the stem of the pipe. if the hand will attach to the bottom of that piece it would be a cool pipe.
  19. Thanks for the comments. I definitely was inspired by the modular houses for this one. I wanted to do an interior but the first floor is very high, so I need to add a "door" to the back similar to my Seamstress build. I have another build in mind, where I want to uses even more Cypress trees (still my best "find" I got seven, along with 75 other trees and shrubs for $20!)
  20. thanks for all the kind words! Glad you liked the pipe. i wish the LOTR ring came in something besides gold. i think it would have worked perfectly if it was black or brown. I knew the spelling didn't look right! Mods could you change the title so I won't forever live in shame!
  21. typo. sorry I meant "wasn't" but went back an edited my OP
  22. lots to see and and enjoy! Looks like you also found a use for those Mirkwood elf poly bag mushrooms! Great job Rouge
  23. Between the Illyrio and the Coluna mountain range, along the Capital road are several orchards, vineyards, farms and pastures. Orthus, Lord Arlindus' Father and Ambassador of Circardia travels along the Capital Road to visit the Dwarves of the Stoneheart clan for potential trade agreements. I really built this build to show off some my first aftermarket parts, the leaves are from Alt brick, sheep and the bridle from Brick Forge. I also wanted to try out the rock technique for a future build.
  24. finally... http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=76861 and another build http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76863
  25. Along the Grand Canal in the Varlyrion Capital of Illyria is the Ministry of Trade. Established to help regulate internal and external trade, merchants must receive a letter of permit for a nominal fee based on the value and quantity of goods. Outside the front of the Ministry of Trade Orhtus, Lord Arlindus' Father and Ambassador of Circardia arrives at the Ministry of Trade to explore possible trade partners. Leaving are two dwarves from the Stoneheart Clan Inside merchants wait to be seen by officials of the Ministry Once it is their turn, Letters of permit are issued by officials at the Ministry of Trade Not 100% happy with the photos but I wanted to get this done. I also noticed some things about the build I didn't noticed until I was shooting photos (some bricks not pushed tight, dust) but again, I was pretty pushed for time. Hope you guys enjoy!
