  1. Scandellous! I demand 5 points compensation! Only joking! Well spotted Cara! The comic can be found here!
  2. The noble redcoats have delivered, as anticipated! I found it really hard to pick just 5 but here goes! 1. Blackar - 1 point 3. dr_spock - 1 point 6. Kurigan - 1 point 9. Purpearljellyblob - 1 point 11. Capt. Stabbin - 1 point Good luck to everyone! Duck
  3. It pains me to see the redcoats treated this way! However, all the entries are fantastic and I've therefore decided to distribute the points between my favourite 5! 2. Sebeus I - 1 point 3. The Inventor - 1 point 5. Grimmbeard - 1 point 6. Frank Brick Beard - 1 point 11. Antonio - 1 point Good luck each and every one! (Until next round when the redcoats will conquer all) Duck
  4. What makes you think that your hat didnt sink with the rest of you? Thanks for the comments folks, glad you enjoyed it!
  5. Ahoy! I'm currently in the process of moving house so had literally a handful of lego at my disposal for this last-minute entry (which just happened to include Sebeus' figure!), so I admit its not an award-winning entry, but hopefully will add to the conflict! Hope you enjoyed it! Duck
  6. Great entry, Brickington! Another head for the redcoat collection. And might I add that without shaving, you're looking remarkably like another handsome character of the same name!
  7. Hi folks, Just thought that I would share a short montage I put together over the weekend of stop-motions (all my own) for a presentation I gave yesterday where I had to teach an unusual skill - mine being stop-motion. So this was just an example of some of the things that can be done, both with lego and other items around the house. If I had time I'd have added sound effects, so music will just have to do! Thanks for watching! Duck P.s. If a mod feels this is in the wrong place due to not being a blickflick in it's entirety then please do with it as you will - I understand
  8. Managed to pick up this set for half price-ish he other day. I felt less agrieved paying £59 for it than £99-£120. Even then, it seems a lot. It is a well designed set however! Quite detailed and the mechanisms are all very smooth. Every brick seems appropriately placed and the main attraction is obviously the minifigures! I rated it as good
  9. Picked up Jabba's Palace for £59 at tesco. Personally I think that's about right price-wise anyway, but I'm just tight with my money!
  10. I wasn't compaining! Was just checking that my housemate hadn't wandered off with it. I had to practically wrestle a personal letter about my mortgage application off them earlier which they were adament wasn't mine... :(. Thanks for the replies and it has put my mind at rest! :) And thanks again for organising this copmike! :)
  11. Sorry to bump an old topic - I was just wondering if anyone had recieved their prizes yet? I have a troublesome housemate (who I didnt pick!) who has a tendancy to wander off with my mail, and so just wanted to check whether it's time I confronted them about it, or whether I'm jumping the gun, so to speak! Duck
  12. On Tesco reduced to clear, I managed to pick up The Batcave half price for £35 and The Avengers: Hulks Helicopter Breakout for £25. Good deals! Sadly I missed out on a half price Helms Deep...
  13. For each one of us that gets poo'd on, there are another to take his place! I'll erm... wait at the back of the queue. A great entry Sebeus! Fantastic build and great storyline!
  14. A nice entry! It is important that the truth about the bluecoats is told!
  15. Knowing nothing of this line, I was in Toys R Us today and thought I must have drunk too much sherry yesterday. Returning home, I now realise that this is real and not an overly colourful odd idea from my own imagination. I havent a fathom what it is about, but it certainly looks cool and I shall endevour to understand it. Duck
  16. Thanks for all the replies, my wonderful redcoat friends, and the other lot! Indeed. Sadly you chose the wrong side though. Perhaps you'd like to switch I'm not entirely sure what your saying here, oh not so noble leader of the opposition? Is my post in the correct place or not, this being my official entry?
  17. A fitting place for a Bluecoat, I think! (But glad you liked the entry ) And yep Becker, that was supposed to be you! As I said in the OP - I'm working with very limited parts at the moment due to moving house, so had to do the best I could with the bricks I could, and see who I had the parts that my bricks closest resembled .
  18. [pid][/pid] Entering into the fore is my entry. I'm in the middle of moving house at the moment so have most of my LEGO in storage - so I've had to do the best I can with the one box I still have to hand! So sorry if the characters used aren't 100% correct in all their attire! Hope you like it anyway. Let the tournament continue!
  19. Managed to pick up 79001 Escape From Mirkwood Spiders BNIB for £12 through a local buy and sell page on facebook. Not bad I think! Lovely set also!
  20. Thanks for the responses to the Droid Legs question - much appreciated and I shall have a go at it shortly! Will let you know how I get on!
  21. I'm in exactly the same boat. However, I just invested in buying some phase 1 clones off ebay, and so the armour doesnt quite match with this armour, so I'm in a pickle whether to continue with the ebay ones or start off with the ones from these new BP's. I'll probably just end up with a mixture and hope no one notices ;). Why cant TLG leave anything alone!? With regards to the set, I'm relatively impressed, although I always feel BP's are a little over-priced, especially as in this one there are only two actual minifigures. I do like the droidikas though!
  22. I've tried searching for the answer to this one, and skimmed through this topic so I do appologise if I've missed it: With regards to battledroids legs and their lack of movement - has anyone ever tried cutting through the joining feet to create two individual feet? If so, are the remaining feet flexible enough to move independently or too brittle? I'm considering making a brickflick involving droids and it is an annoyance that they cannot really walk (other than the waddling from side to side option, which isnt too endearing!). If anyone has any solutions, I'd be intregued to hear them! Duck
  23. Another great review! Rex looks fantastic. I just wish TLC would work out a way for droids legs to be moved seperately as that is a constant irritant for me with such sets! I think as far as licensed sets go in terms of price, this one is quite reasonable for what you get!
  24. A great little set! Thanks for the review! My need for republic and sith troopers at present is small, so I'll probably be giving this one a miss unless I spot it on offer somewhere! I do like it though.
  25. Thanks for organising this competition! Its wonderful (especially as I won a prize :)
