Again, very good work, Nuju. The first wave was beautiful, and I can't wait to see how wave 2 develops.

The hair piece is new. The one from Moria had ears attached. It was the same as the generic Orc head, except the ears were green, not dark tan.

What would you like for the next Castle line?
Ql97 replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'd love to see this made into a theme. -
Wow. That is amazing. I would definatly dish out $300 to have it. That's exactly what lego should have made. Is there any chance you could post the file so we can dwonload it?
-
That's pretty close to the Grond set I would actually want to see in a set. I'm going to go with the larger version, as the small version looks a little flimsy. The larger version could support another minifigure. Darth Caedus suggested Madril, which I think would work well. A very true and depressing point, espically when you considder how many of the votes are a single user supporting multiple projects (Like me, I'm supporting at least 3).

Just search "Minas Tirith" into the Ideas search bar, and see how many results come up. It's kinda ridiculous, and you'd think by now Lego would take a hint and make an actuall set. My personal favorite is thisone, as the asthetic resembles something Lego might actually make. I do like where you're going with your project, Deathleech, with the connectable walls centered around the gatehouse. I would, however, try to shrink the structure enough that Grond could be included in the main set, as that would allow more play features, something Lego loves including in their sets. P.S., Maybe the $70 set could be a last alliance set, with the gate of Barad-Dur and a double sized Sauron.

If is ever end up buying a clone brand, even for LotR, just put me out of my misery.

(Sound of jaw hitting the floor) Words cannot capture how amazing this creation is. You captured the costume and appearance of each one of them perfectly. Lego should release them as offical sets. I wonder what a Fellowship would look like. P.S. Any chance you could make an Azog? -
What custom minifigure do you desire?
Ql97 replied to LuckyTheySay's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Some Middle Earth figs would be nice... -
The ship does look quite nice once finished, and makes an excelent display piece. The minifigures, particularly the Dead Men of Dunharrow and the Cosair Peter Jackson, are worth it.

I have no problem with Lego using obscure versions of characters for SDCC. I do have a problem with Lego using the more popular varriants, specifically The Collector. Now you might say, Wait, didn't they make a verry important Justice League member named Green Arrow? Yes they did. The Green Arrow, though, has several different costumes and a different version of him can be put in a set without Lego compromising the exclusiveness of the SDCC version. But now, we're never going to see a widely availble version of The Collector based on his appearance in GoG. Which really sucks for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Finally, I'd like to add that I'm very happy the SDCC version of Bard is in a set latter this year.

Speaking of Second Age, I would like to see some more prologue minifigures in general, such as young Thorin, Thror, Thrain and Elendil and Isildur.
-
Exactally! Minas Tirith with Eowyn, Faramir, Denathor, Angmar, some Gondorian soldiers and maybe Gothmog and new versions of Merry and Pippin. Combined with old Bilbo, that would cover the last unmade major characters.

Holy S***!!!! This has to be the most amazing Lego creation I have ever seen. Can you give us any estimate of how heavy the thing is? (It's obviously too big to weigh on a scale...) Wow. Just WOW!
-
Oops, didn't see them. My list of Saurons I want in order is: Secound age Sauron, Glowing Sauron, The Stupid Sauron We Actually Got. Since we're not getting anything else from LotR, that leaves only Glowing Sauron, although I doubt we'll get him either.
-
@ kevkipo: Good idea. I myself am going to try to complete the Dol Guldur court yard, so it looks sort-of enclosed and city-like. @ dskp: Don't forget to add Sigrid, Tilda, and glowing Sauron to your list of minifigs.

This is my general opinion on the LotR line. Wave one was great, in fact, it was pretty much perfect. Wave two: When it first came out, i was quite excited. I loved all of the minifigures (Still do), and even though the cosair ship was a bit random, the model was quite nice, and I was satisfied. The problem was that wave two felt like an interlude. Before Peter Jackson changed the hobbit release date, Lego was probably planning on doing a third, Gondor based wave. Now there are no signs of a third wave, and we are all quite confused. If I had to choose between a third wave with Gondor and the second wave, I would have gone for Gondor, as long as it had Elrond, Arwen, Saruman and Gandalf the White. For reasons we'll never know, the LotR theme has died mid swing, and now everyone is dissapointed.

Excelent point, Faefrost. The angle I am coming from is at least there's a small chance of getting maybe 1 new mold for a D2C set, while with ideas there's a less than 0 chance.
-
Lego Ideas is probably not the best route for Minas Tirith. As Lego has been very clear on, they will not produce any new molds for an Ideas set. If so that would severly limit our options for minifigures. They could manage Denathor, Faramir, Gandalf and Eowyn, Pippin and Merry without helmets, but they wouldn't make the Witch-King or Gothmog (what I want), or Gondorian Soldiers (what everybody else wants). My only hope for Minas Tirith is a D2C set like Diagon Alley.

My thoughts: Witch-King Battle: The rock thingy goes with the rest of Dol Guldur, which is quite good. Of all of them except for Erebor, this one has the best selection of minifigures. Elrond looks amazing, at least as good as the Prologue version. Galadriel is also incredible, even if she didn't get a new hair piece. I'm also glad we finally get a twilight Nazgul, it looks great. My only complaint is that his sword isn't glow in the dark. Lake Town: Like everyone else, I wish we had gotten Bolg with this set. The structure will go well with the rest of Lake Town. I expected this version of Bard to be the one we already have, but we ended getting a new face print. Tauriel also looks good, as does Bain's torso. I'll be giving him longer legs, as the short ones look kinda stupid. I also might swap out the hair piece. The orcs: I don't mind them using the mordor orcs, and although the hair looks good, TLG probably could have found a better piece to make. Note on Bain's height: In the video game, he is given short legs and Sigrid is given long legs, when he is the same height as older sister. Wierd. BoFA The ballista looks really wicked. I'll save my judgement on the structure till we see all of it. Dain's head looks massive! I'm glad we're getting blue coat Bard, and Snarling Azog and King Thorin are also quite welcome. As much as I would have liked to see a new Legolas, the minifigure might just be accurate to the scene. If you watch the trailer, there are some shots of him is his guard uniform. If anyone listened, thanks for doing so.

I'm back!!!! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/ Welcome to Eurobricks!! I like this fourm. people can say whatever crazy stuff they want. Edit: It works!! -
I'd like to point out some apparently good news: the version of Bard we get in the BoFA set looks like the Comic-Con version. Take a look at the Bard we already have. His coat is the same color as his legs. If you look closely at him in the new mini fig lineup, his coat looks to be a different color, possibly dark blue.

/\ Yes, the Orca Hai created by the evil wizard Salmon. Battle packs would be great, but my mindset we are very lucky to have Middle Earth Legos And I hope the theme lasts for several years.

I don't get what it is with you guys and the mordor orcs. Would I have liked new prints? Sure. I never thought we would see LotR sets. Getting the Dead Men of Dunharow in the thene's second wave is very lucky, not to mention the fact that Peter Jackson and the Mouth of Sauron only appeared in the extended editions. A few years ago, we would have had to wait for several years for them to show up in a set. As for Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli, while you may have more than one already, a good deal of childern who will be reciving the sets don't. If they don't includ them, kids will be left wondering where the main characters from the scene are. Sorry if that sounded harsh, some people around here need a reallity check.
