Looks great in my opinion! I love the stern! It would be awesome if you build this in real!

What do you want to see in the next round of the new line?
Captain Blackmoor replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
And there weren't civilian sets in the Castle line either till the Medieval Market Village showed up. So we can always hope for one of these amazing sets, but I'm sure there won't be such sets this year. That would be amazing... -
An awesome BrickLink order arrived to make the first part of the Le Fourageux It cost me a pretty penny, I need about 3 more orders to finish the whole ship. I spread the orders over a large period of time to enjoy the building and planning time. It's going to be huge! And I'd rather spend my money on LEGO then drink it in pubs, however that's great fun too...

Then we should gather ourselves in a circle and pray, pray for civilian sets! Honestly, I would spend every $ I had on the new sets if they were here now. -
I think he based the MOC on that, or got inspiration from it. It would be cool if you expand the arch and hang more skeletons.

Hollywood Undead Metallica Kamelot Skillet Unsun Empire total War soundtracks Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks Master and Commander soundtracks Oblivion soundtracks My favorite songs at this very moment: This one This one is also very nice. It encourages me get MOC'ing. Strange... This is very relaxing and inspiring me for LEGO ship building.

Strange that I wasn't aware of this funny and great topic! I'm always aware of this kind of topics... My title is simple: Shipyard Pirate. I think Zorro gave it to me since I help in the Shipyard.

Then I have to tell you we are at war now. From now on, you are in big trouble once I meet you at the seas. :skull: My signature shows as follows: - The the flag from my fleet. - The Bluecoats (my favorite pirate faction) are at war against the Reddies, Pirates and other scum. - Two links to see my vessels. - Links to my Custom Pirate Torso's, the Classic-Pirates Youtube Channel, my MOCpages and Brickshelf. - And as last a quote from a historic famous person about military theories, I change the quote weekly.

And my finds: I never knew those rockets were also stationed on small boats. Hope this might help as well!

[COMIC] "Kings And Queens Of The Sea" - Episodes
Captain Blackmoor replied to Dreamweb's topic in Pirate MOCs
I've read it and I'm impressed! You've got a great storyline there and nice clear pictures! I really enjoy the series! Keep it up! -
I like it too! If I were a troll (don't want to be one!) I would live there I think. The huts have a real troll look with the colours and details. I like the choice of the baseplate too, nice tree and ladders too. The watchtower is very nice as well! It has the real shabby troll look. But I don't understand why there is a cycle near the stand alone Trolls hut. I hope you will make a troll castle layout someday!

The East Brickian Trading Company
Captain Blackmoor posted a topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I bring you guys the East Brickian Trading Company, a brand new LEGO theme! The Backstory: It is the year 1712, and Edward heard stories of men going to the far east and become rich. Edward decided to buy himself a ship and he sets sail. After a long voyage he reaches East Brickia, a large group of undiscovered islands. After exploring some islands he came to the conclusion there were a lot of resources to start a small village. With the men from the ship they started building a small trading post, they harvested exotic products from the jungles like spices, sugar and cotton. Later on they even started a plantation to grow specific products. Meanwhile there was a threat from pirates and enemy nations so they decided to protect their colony by building a fortress on the shore. But after that another problem occured, the island's jungle was crowded with islanders who didn't like foreign people on their land. But the islanders are no match for the modern Soldiers with cannons and muskets. Now the islanders sabotage buildings, kidnap colonists and plunder warehouses. The colony of Captain Edward grows into a small town, how does the story continue? That's up to you. The main character: The main character in this new line of products is Captain Edward. The used decals: Front. And the back. Some more pictures at Brickshelf. The sets: Captain's Edward Trading Ship. ( Contains large Trading Ship, Captain Edward, 4 Soldiers, 5 Crewmembers, 8 cannons, shark and lots of accessoires.) East Brickian Town. ( Contains 2 small houses, a warehouse, a chapel, a well, docks, 4 Colonists, 1 Priest, 3 workers and lots of accessoires.) East Brickian Trading Post. ( Contains Trading Post building, small docks, 2 small Warehouses, 2 Soldiers, Captain Edward, 1 cannon, 5 workers and lots of accessoires.) East Brickian Spice Plantation. ( Contains Plantation Main House, 2 baseplates with crops, Warehouse, 1 Plantage Owner and his wife, 6 Plantage workers and lots of accessoires.) East Brickian Fortress. ( Contains Fortress, docks, small supply vessel, 6 Soldiers, 1 Officer, 6 cannons and lots of accessoires.) East Brickian jungle islander village. ( Contains 2 islander huts, 1 shaman hut, totem pole, 5 islanders, 1 shaman and lots of accessoires.) Impulse set: Captain Edward's office. ( Contains Captain Edward, servant, a decorated desk with chair, bookshelf and treasure chest.) Impulse set: Colony Guards. ( Contains 2 Soldiers, 1 Officer, 1 cannon and some foliage.) Impulse set: Jungle life. ( Contains 2 Islanders, 1 Shaman, totem pole, drums, parrot, monkey and some foliage.) -
In the last picture it is obviously a 3 decker indeed, in the other pictures the ship's structure looks like the Santissima Trinidad, which was a four decker: The large ammount of guns behind the yellow gunports make it look like the ship has four decks, but they are disconnected in the middle. And the HMS Victory is a 3 decker. But it is a very, very nice ship anyway!

Nice scene you've made Sir Wellington! I like all the action going on. A suggestion might be to make sure you've got a clear white background when taking pictures. The current background distracts the attention and it is less visible. Some white A4 papers can do wonders! I also think it's better to give the cannons larger wheels, the current cannons fit on a ship's deck where they don't need to be transported over large distances. Small wheels make the cannons sink in the mud. It's more realistic to give the cannons large wheels. Otherwise, great MOC!

I really like it ISC! There are a lot of details in there, and I like the architecture. I think the brown path looks better once it's in tan. It blends a little with the other details and the gate. Nice job!

Not the most pleasant death, well at least it's a pirate so I think he deserves it. Who knows how many innoncent people he killed in his life? I like the vignette, simple but effective design but the palm leaves could use some more work. Only 3 leaves on such a big trunk? Keep it up!

I love it! The tumblehome is great and the interior is cramped, yet very detailed for such a small place. I agree with YnyklY it would be a nice touch to add a gunport. A black stripe on the hull would also be nice. But in my eyes it is a very nice vignette. Keep it up Zorro!

I knew Redcoats were stupid, but not THAT stupid to dare to enter my ship with a rowboat, including a couple of men to steal a cannon, haul it on board and row back to the island, installing it there and attempting to sink me with 1 single gun.
-
What a great entry! The custom dreadlocks are very cool, the decals as well. I see some influences from your Aztec Sacrifice minifig decals, I really like them. The artwork above the actual minifig adds a lot to it I think. I think he could be more hairy, he has no beard for example and I don't think they used sharp mammoth bones to shave.
-
In the time the Redcoat civilization reaches an acceptable level the climate change is coming and the island will be flooded. :pir-skull: The same happened to Atlantis. Although, it is a very nice idea and it looks quite funny too! The island is simply made but it looks great, and I like the hanging pirate. The only thing I wonder is how the cannon gets there. You aren't going to tell me they mined their own iron, with their own made picaxes, melted the mined ores in a self build oven, and made a barrel out of it. I'd love to see the island expanding more in the future by updating it now and then so we all can see how the civilization progress goes.

Rafting, Battling & Commandeering!
Captain Blackmoor replied to Duck's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
I agree with Broadside your lightning is perfect, an issue I come across every time I'm making a movie. Sadly there are no voices in it, but the sound effects are funny. And the story is very clear to me. Great video! -
I think the rocks are quite nice. And of course the hanging pirate too. A few suggestions: Like stated above it would be more realistic if you use SNOT waters. I'm not sure about the lime-green 1x1 plates, perhaps some dark green 1x1 slopes would work.
-
I think this is a massive improvement Zuloo! The tumblehome looks awesome and I see there is going to be an interior as well. I hope this ship will turn out very nicely, and I'm curious to see the stern. Good luck with the ship Captain Zuloo!

What do you want to see in the next round of the new line?
Captain Blackmoor replied to martinsuper's topic in LEGO Pirates
This is an awesome list, especially the Charles Darwin idea is great. I'm not too fond of the animals but an exploration ship would be great instead of only military and pirate ships. A colony set in the style of the Medieval Market Village would be awesome as well. This kind of sets are always on the wish-list. But most over all, I desperately want to see new Bluecoats.
