  1. If it is too much against the Redcoats it supposes to be posted in this thread. But to make a fool of some islanders it's fine to post in the MOCforum. Try to avoid insulting and too much fighting against the Redcoats or Bluecoats outside this thread. At least that's what I try to do.
  2. So I see I was used for inspiration, I didn't even know that. I think this inn is pretty awesome! I always like modularity and interiors in buildings. There are a lot of details on the pub. Nice choice of colours too, and I like the wenches in there! I have to go there some time. I'd like to see a shot with the Naval Warehouse near the inn. Keep up the magnificient work!
  3. Same techniques indeed, only bigger. This is probably the best compliment I ever had on Eurobricks! Thank you so much! This comment made my day. It is an unique style of ship building indeed. Perhaps funny to know the build of the Le Formidable took 3 years, during that time I've figured the techniques out. It started with a small ship of 3 midsections, and I've expanded it, expanded it and she isn't even finished yet. I have make some more rigging. After the summer holidays it is her 4th anniversary. The good Captain Green Hair is also a very huge source of inspiration, I keep my own ship build techniques but especially his eye for details inspires me.
  4. I agree it looks really good! The buildings are very nice, the docks as well. Perhaps it's better to add some detail to the water, add some waves for example. I really like the ship. Great job on that. And did I spot a BrickForge scooter in there as well? AND the town is raided by a clone trooper! Oh noes...
  5. The hull of the Constitution is covered with copper plates. I think brown might be better instead of tan since brown looks more like copper.
  6. Well I'd be honoured to be in one of your upcoming MOCs. So here I am! Not the left guy. The used decal. Good luck with it!
  7. Where are you listening to? !
  8. Ah a pirate destroyer! That's exactly what we need in those times... I like the colours! They are very nice. I also like the detailed stern, and the piano in the cabin. The custom sails are also very nice. The bow could use some more work, it is a bit bare. I think this ship will be feared by the pirates, and loved by the Imperials.
  9. That is defenitely possible. You need some tiles and 1x1 plates for it to make a diagonal window. I agree that would look much better. I post a picture later on to show you what I mean.
  10. A garden to harvest fruits to avoid getting disease on the ship. Great ship Guss! The thing which stands out for me is the hull, I´ve never seen a ship in this style. Good job on the headrails! I only don´t like the red/white striped tricorne sail at the back. Perhaps it´s better to make a white one instead.
  11. Building large ships can take several months...
  12. It was a normal happening that ships laid for anchor a few yards from the docks since the water wasn't deep enough. Of course there were deep ports, mostly the European large ports and shipyards had. But it costs so much money and time to make every port deeper.
  13. I see a cannon in there... You've stolen it from me ey? The ship is progressing nicely YnyklY, she slowly takes shape! I really like the tumblehome so far! I think it will be even better in the right colours. The interior is coming along nicely. Brown furniture would defenitely add a lot in here. The stern is my favorite part. I love the yellow details on it. Perhaps a good idea to make a yellow border around the cabin. The headrails are taking shape and look good so far. Watch out the bow isn't going to be too boxy. The position of the masts is quite correct and I like that red stripe above the tumblehome. Good luck with the build!
  14. It can become quite expensive if you buy complete sets only for a few pieces you need. Are you familiar with BrickLink? A great source of bricks! I wasn't aware of that site either, but if you know how to handle it, you can build everything you want. If you have enough money of course.
  15. Some very valuable and rare gunpowder, it explodes when it comes in contact with wood. :pir-skull: I hope the commander is enjoying his last seconds. Perhaps you could add some detail to the water?
  16. Extremely flammable gunpowder... :pir-skull: Nice MOC! I like the building a lot and the tatty shore too. I should make the wooden roofs a bit tattered, it looks a bit too clean in my opinion. The fisherman is nice. There are a lot of great details in here. Keep it up!
  17. And I DO enjoy it! Beautiful castle! Great landscaping and details! I think there is another master of castles among us...
  18. I will participate with the build, but there will a small dark age for a month or so during the build.
  19. This sounds very interesting Captain! I'd like to participate in this. But there is a problem, I'm building a ship at this moment too. I have the bricks but I doubt if I have the time to build 2 ships. The vacantion is coming closer and I don't know how much time I have to spend on my HBO. All this sounds very promising but I think I will be a bit behind with the building progress.
  20. Oooh I'm in love with the snare drummer! Wonderful and amazingly detailed decals! Great job on the shako's as well! The backgrounds used are also very nice. Good luck on the contest! A really strong entry I believe!
  21. I really like that brilliant and simple way to attach a sword to a gun to create a bayonet. The bandages make them look like pirates, I like them though! Some kind of colonial troops. I also recommend to use dark grey hands. Tell your friend I steal like his idea! Thanks for posting it!
  22. I post WIP pictures from the build so other people can give suggestions and critisism. When you post the final product it is already almost too late to change things. And everyone comments on how great it is, but you only learn from your own experience then. I really liked the making of the Prince of Wales thread a lot for example, I've learned quite much from it. That's how I do it!
  23. Could you please stop bumping old threads? All the current MOCs along with their discussions are almost gone now. I'm sorry for acting like a mod but it is pretty annoying. You're posting a lot without adding something to the old discussions what hasn't been said.
  24. That looks absolutely fantastic! I love the rope on the shako. Is it secure? It looks very fragile and I should be afraid to touch it.
  25. I'm not lying or something, it looks like a very cool game but also very time consuming. I don't know how long it takes when you have several ships. 1 ship vs 1 ship should be awesome. I have to test it soon. But the ships have to be finished of course.
