  1. Great video! Awesome special effects and animation. I think I can learn a lot of this. Nice work!
  2. Great diorama Talon! Great landscaping also, a bit squarish though. Perhaps slopes will work? I like the fire too, with the knight in it. Perhaps a few transculent pieces on the waterfall would add a lot of detail.
  3. Awesome scene Captain! The work has paid off I see! I like the wooden tower, it fits nicely there. The siege tower is nice as well, I don't see them often. I also like the details scattered over the MOC. Good luck on the contest captain!
  4. I'd like to be in... :pir-skull: Some people around the pirate forum know I am a quite fanatic Blue guy. I felt sad to see I was 2 days too late back from vacantion to join, so I'd like to take every chance I have! I have all three requirements. Bring it on reddies!
  5. Nice! All hail Brickforge. I think I can use one or more of these, since there are some interesting stickers on it. Great work!
  6. Amazing work so far mate! I already like it a lot. Especially the beach is nice! All the wooden details are great as well. Keep this wonderful build up!
  7. Horrible indeed, the thunderstorm was even above our house, in Friesland... Anyway, the burning news has already been frontpaged and there is a thread about it here.
  8. Lucky enough the ship self wasn't damaged, the sails were stored in a warehouse, along with a lot of wooden sculptures of the Zeven Provinciën, the building went down to ash. I don't even want to think what would happen when the Batavia cought fire, that ship has no steel skeleton so it would burn to the keel and sink.
  9. I was planning to visit this ship this year! They aren't sure yet if they are going to build it again due financial problems with the insurance. It also costs a lot of time. Lucky enough the "Zeven Provinciën" is still unharmed, but was close when the Batavia sails and buildings were destroyed like Captain Blue Hair said. And the "Delft" is under construction too. Now hope there won't be more disasters like this in the future. The USS Constitution had a small kitchen fire, it was extinguished quickly so there wasn't serious damage. That could end badly too. The fire brigade of Den Helder was there quickly, but they couldn't do much since the fire was still inside the ship, it was too dangerous to enter. Some men had to run for their lifes to avoid falling masts. They decided starting to extinguish when the flames became visible. But it was too late already, the decks collapsed and only the steel carcass was left.
  10. The Dutch replica VOC ship Prins Willem in Den Helder is destroyed! It is totally burned, except the steel skeleton. This news is even more horrible for the good Captain Blue Hair, he is very busy making a minifig scale model of the ship here. The once so mighty broadside. The leftovers of the very nicely decorated stern. The headrails hidden in smoke. The steel skeleton is the only thing left... YouTube Video
  11. Pirates all the way! Especially some awesome flintlock pistols and muskets. Some different shako's, bicornes and tricornes would be cool too. I also like to see another kind of steering wheel, the current LEGO one is not very detailed. Some lanterns for minifigs would be cool too. And candles! There are so many things to wish...
  12. Once again, nice decals Trash! The idea is neat too. William is an interesting person with an interesting story. Now only hope THIS version of William won't be hanged till he's half dead, then beheaded and won't be cut in 4 pieces once he's dead like the real William experienced at the end...
  13. Those forts are great! I'd like to see them in real. The small drydock is neat as well, I might use that idea sometime.
  14. Beautiful, great, awesome work you've done on those drawings! First class comic drawings in my opinion. The soldier is my favorite!
  15. Looks great and very promising Derfel! I really like the Medieval Market Village building style. The ship looks also stunning so far. I like the colours and the round stern. I wish you all the best and good luck with your new port!
  16. Just back from France and then I see this, a great thing to see when you're gone for 2 weeks! Happy Birthday is the first thing! Spare me some cake please. Now off to the real thing: The ship looks great already! The ammount of guns on that single deck already scares me. I think the ship may end up a bit too narrow for a three decker since it's built on prefab hulls. But I think you will find a nice solution for that. So far I'm curious to see the imposant stern, and I wish you all the best with the ship!
  17. My coloursheme will be quite similar to the L'Achéron from Master and Commander. As you see it will be dark red with black stripes, the stern will be yellow/gold and black. I think I will make a Spanish Frigate from it, since the Spanish also used the black-red coloursheme on their ship.
  18. I also make drawings of the coloursheme on MS Paint. Coincedence? Anyway, my ship is going to have the Spanish/French Black-Red striped coloursheme, the stern will be black with yellow decorations. The French L'Achéron from Master and Commander is a perfect example of the ship I want to build.
  19. I see. Is it just a maintenance or an update? Another skin perhaps?
  20. This is the biggest building I've seen in LEGO. I didn't ever expected it would be THAT big... The walls are covered in details! There are so many! I think you have done a magnificient job on this! Now I have a question: How many bricks are in there?
  21. I like your avatar Crystal, welcome at the good side of the brick and the best pirate faction The Bluecoats. And happy birthday! I hope you've got some amazing presents, I bet it was LEGO. Congratulations to the other birthday-celebrating members too!
  22. I was thinking on building an elegant building sometime, and I also think I'd defenitely use a piano like this in it. Thanks for the pictures! The piano is very creative.
  23. 70.000?? That's unbelievable! And the year isn't even half on it's way! I hope we will work together for a loong time, and I hope the site will be even more succesfully in the future! Congrats to you all!
  24. If you continue fighting Redcoats it will be all fine. General Armendariz is back I see.
  25. Nice one! It looks very accurate if I see the playmobil building. I would add some more detail to the roof if that is possible, like some greenery or dark red to break the plain red colour. Playmobil seems to be a very good source of inspiration. Keep it up!
