It was a real small fire, not that important but it could have been much worser. I've read about it quite long ago when I visited a book market. Before that I wasn't even familiar with the Constitution. That's also one of the little things I remember from that book. I wish I bought it at that time since it was pretty awesome. And indeed, if the USS Constitution went down in flames... That would be a disaster.

I agree the MOC is built very nicely. The machine gun looks awesome. The Ninja's are also really cool. BUT: I thought Mr. Hornblower was a fanatic redcoat too! @ Joey Lock: Beware, my MOC is done and will be posted when I'm on turn...

Congratulations to the winners! You've deserved it! A gift card is a real nice price, I hope you will enjoy it! Also thanks to the staff for organizing an amazing contest! I'm looking forward into the future for more contests! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

Here's your decal The Riddler: Is this where you were thinking of? I hope it's good!

Like he said, he is a magical person... I totally approve the way you're dealing with 'em Armendariz! No need to waste bullets on them. Let me say something to the Reddies: IN UR FACE! litterally...

Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair
Captain Blackmoor replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Looks great captain! I'm eager to see the next step, but I have to catch up with the build too. I really like the way the curved shapes turn out. -
I'm handy with a saw and woodcarving...

It was such a beauty... It's sad that I have to remove my visit from the planning list. I thought there were three lanterns at the stern, it seems to be I was wrong.

Dutch VOC ship the Prins Willim, minifig scale!
Captain Blackmoor replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Any updates dear Captain? No need to rush of course! I'm just curious to see more of this fantastic project, even now the real thing is burned to the ground... I think that happening made the reference sources quite thinner. I hope you have some good pictures! Especially from the interior, since I can't find any pictures of it on the web. Cheers! -
I'm looking forward to see the new bunch of pictures! It seems she is progressing nicely. Keep it up and good luck!

There aren't idiots on the streets anymore, 'cus the Redcoats kidnapped them already. True fact: The Redcoat soldiers, also "Lobsters" called, were treatened like cattle with extreme discipline. The French guys however, were well rewarded for their efforts. A British commander said the British soldiers were no more then foam of the earth who enlisted to drink. So which faction picked the idiots from the streets?

Righto, I'm on it now. It should be done soon!

You're a good lad!! We're always seeking new people on our side!

I do like to cook till it burns, then the fun is gone because I have to clean up the mess. And also I really like to eat!

I'd like to take this request, but the first link is broken. Or at least I have no access to it. Fix it and I get to work.

Prove it! Normally we first destroy the enemy, then we grab what we can. Including the jewels and purses from the dead Redcoat bodies. The Bluecoat soldiers have enough money and other supplies so they don't need to be greddy.

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
Captain Blackmoor replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I've made a couple more torso's: The French Vice Admiral: And the British Vice Admiral: An example of a French Midshipman: And a British Midshipman: Please note the colours aren't historic accurate, they are based on the LEGO Blue and Redcoats. The decals can be recoloured very easy. Enjoy! -
Funny entry indeed, I like it. But no doubt the Red guy will be shot by a Blue guy hiding in the bushes behind him. Or at least the Blue guy on the beach will be able to catch the stone ball and throw it back with incredible speed. :pir-skull:

Now that is a carrot I don't want to have on my plate during dinner! But I do like the vignette, like Sir Dano said dark green is a nice colour for roofings. Nice job.
-
I'm astonished by seeing those creations! Your work on the shako's is amazing! I love the plumes and the tiny ropes on it, the decals on the torso's and cuffs are also amazing. I also like the stiched cloth on some trousers, great detail. Your horse regiments look brilliant, their hats are really nice. Keep them coming!

Looks great Sir! I see you've put a lot of effort and detail in it. The stairs are really nice, as well the cliffs covered with foliage. I also like the architecture of the tower, with some inverted shapes in it which I've never seen before. Great job. Though, I wish there was an interior.

The Storming of the Bastille (Mini-Film)
Captain Blackmoor replied to Sir Wellington's topic in Pirate MOCs
Nice vid, I like the cannon flash and the infantry on the castle firing in a row. AND I've recognized my decal! Thanks for using it. -
The original Prins Willim sunk for the coasts of Madagaskar, it is probably rotten away now except for some details like pots and pans. The currently burned Prince Willem had a hull of steel, the underwater part at least, and a steel skeleton. If they rebuild the ship they build it on the skeleton. So far nothing is clear because it costs a lot of money and time to rebuild it. You need to find volunteers for the build and a good insurance too. But I defenitely hope they rebuild her! The Delft and the Zeven Provinciën are on the way too, so in a couple of years we have two ships back at least.

This is very cruel, and well built. I only hope you know you're captured and hanged right now...

Governor Broadside looks like a satisfied happy-drinking man. Just like all of us. They both look great, as always.
