Awesome decals Hound Knight! You are the master of them! Especially the scout's torso's... Great job! And I'm waiting for this allied army to expand!
-
The first thing I saw was the big happy smile of the officer at the right! I don't really think that fits with a regiment of death like this. Of course the decals are very nice, and the work on the shako's is even better! I love how the plume and the skull turned out. I admit you've scared my French troops with this... But ah, it are only 4 men, for now...

The water looks great Erdy! I love it. The fortress itself is also very nice, it's a quite large cell for 1 prisoner. I'd almost say he has a comfortable life in there! Nice job!

Computer Game - Napoleon: Total War
Captain Blackmoor replied to Sir Wellington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Hehe, it seems to be the lucky pick with the brand new game pc here. I can play Empire: Total war on the highest graphics, and it is awesome. No doubt Napoleon: Total War will be even more awesome... -
I see some great cranes there Z! They even look functional. Keep it up mate! You're doing great.

I've discovered a kind of trailer video about the expansion: Here. It is avaible in februari 2010, at least in the Dutch shops. People from America can grab the game in januari already! A long way to go, but I think it will be worth it!

An office is part of the company right? Mostly the office was on the shipyard site itself. Of course you can make an office, but what is an office without the actual shipyard?
-
Awesome martin! Great story, and I love the role of the Black Coats. I see some nice blue based cannons there as well.
-
This is very creative SlyOwl! Great use of parts. But I think it looks better in a house, or as a lantern along the street since it hasn't the high ship lantern shape. If that dome was a bit higher, and more cone shaped, it would be perfect.
-
A shipping center is also called a Shipyard, which is an excellent idea to make. I think it would be nice if there was an office of a trading company. And a few warehouses of course. What is a large port without it?
-
Ah, you made me happy once again. Now I like you too so I won't attack your ship. I just come aboard to check out if there is some good rum in there... And even if you dare to attack my port, you have to beat the Formidable first.

It is not a harmful disease or something. Nice MOC you've made there! I like the water and the cliffs a lot. The foliage is nice as well, but I think the building is rather small, it looks comfy though. Overall you have done a nice job building this.
-
Well, it sounds good to me! How many midsections will she have? But your first ship was a joke? At least we had great fun sinking it. Good luck with your ship!
-
Looks great Z! I love the cranes already! I'm building docks as well, but this is just massive already! I also love the stairway up to the first floor. Great job till now Z, I'm looking forward to see more!

What a great news! I was quite dissappointed the Battle of Trafalgar wasn't included, the largest and most important sea battle from that time! Now I want to have it! Also the uniform customization sounds great. No doubt I just have to have this!

Thanks Cap'n! I'm glad you like it. The decals are printed on normal thick paper, and glued on the torso. I'm happy they turned out great. Thanks Armendariz! I'm proud to be in your army. And you really have to buy the game, it is very realistic and a must if you love sailing ships! I'm glad you like it Hound Knight. More customs in the future! Thanks ECR! I can't wait for it myself either. According to Wikipedia it are beaver hats. I always thought it were just top hats. Thanks for that information!

Thanks! I'm busy with the new avatar picture at this moment. I read a lot of books for my references, also watching movies (Master & Commander, Hornblower) and even playing historically accurate games like Empire Total War. There will be 2 carronades on my vessel, on the forecastle to be exact. The small guns will be placed on the higher decks, the rest of the hull is filled with the shiny new LEGO cannons. And indeed, this carronade will fire 68 pound cannonballs along with hundreds of musket bullets! Firing a carronade through the stern of an enemy ship will cause a lot of damage, and will kill or injure almost the half of the crew in 1 shot. Imagine what happens next when the whole broadside is fired through the stern just after the carronade did his work. :pir-skull:

You made me very curious! I'm looking forward to the result. So far it's a quite nice idea SlyOwl! I've been experimenting with a new design today, but so far not a big succes. I think those designs fit perfectly in the upcoming Ship Building Techniques Index. But it's not a bad idea to insert them in the Accessory MOC Index as well since lanterns are ship accessories in my opinion. That's at least what I think.

Recently I have ordered some bricks, but there is a delay in it. When that order finally arrives a big update will appear in this thread soon! That my order didn't arrive today doesn't mean I haven't done anything recently! Today I bring you: Brand new Bluecoat marines! Take a look at their splendid uniforms. My sigfig at the left has a new suit as well. So far there are 5 marines, I'm planning to make at least 15 of these guys. And here are other crewmembers, yes, the DO know how to handle a cannon! There will be a lot of these guys on board! A few pages ago the good Captain Blue Hair suggested me to 'beef the carronade up'. I hope I have satisfied him! This is a 68 pounder carronade, at the right the cute 12 pounder for the higher decks. Another shot. The carronade looks pretty terrefying I think. How it's built, the barrel of the carronade fits nice in it's base. You can even aim higher or lower with it. That was it for today! No doubt this will scare the enemies! Thanks for watching and feedback is always appreciated!

I know a bunch of handy techniques. Both for the large shapes of a ship and the details.
-
I think this thread should be in the index where Commodore Hornbricker is working on soon.
-
You have sunk all our ships already while your own vessel is still in the drydock? How odd... Meanwhile, my ship is still alive and a bigger ship is progressing nicely. And Admiral Béjaune just produced an amazing vessel. So now I'm wondering how you came to the fact there is no Bluecoat ship left to be sunk...
-
I see an unforseen bunch of awesome MOCs there. The first one is my favorite, I love the train tracks and the locomotive! It looks really "dwarfish". The orc house is neat too. Oh and welcome to Eurobricks! Enjoy your stay.
-
So it were the Bluecoats who visited the moon as first after all! Not in the most comfortable way, but we have reached more then the Redcoats! Nice MOC too, real nice... We're coming for ya now...
-
You have to make it true first Joey! It won't be easy, I promise. Killing us all, sink all our ships... No, that is impossible, it will never happen.
