  1. That looks pretty nice. Perhaps the steering wheel isn't necessarry though. I would add a rudder at the back instead. Great work on the rigging and hull though, I really like how you've made the bow.
  2. Count the pieces in a frigate. Le Fourageux, which is a big ship, costs more then I want to know.
  3. It has been an amazing contest! Great fun! My first vote, with three points, goes to Dannylonglegs. He has made something very special, and somehow it was really appealing to me. The second vote, with one point, goes to Sir Dillon with his awesome scene! Thanks for the contest!
  4. Excellent work so far! I like the action and the background buildings. The ground has been done nicely as well. I like the minifig poses, the guy standing on a stone with one foot is my favorite. Great job, and keep it up!
  5. Looks very good NewRight! You are a fast one as well. I like the fact you aren't building on a common baseplate, the shapes really stand out here. As well for the different ground layers. I'm not sure about the large sharp rock in the middle of the river since the surrounding area is quite flat. It looks unnatural. Perhaps it helps to add different slopes instead of these high ones. Overall it looks quite good already, and I wish you all the best with your entry!
  6. And now it is there, in the pirates forum it is. :skull: Happy birthday Zorro! Have a lot of fun.
  7. Happy birthday Zorro! We've got a present for you! Have a great day Zorro! And don't try to kill your liver and/or braincells!
  8. I display them, untill I need a couple of bricks, I can't resist and plunder them from the displayed MOCs. That goes on for a while untill the MOC on display can't be called a MOC anymore. So I demolish it after all. That won't happen with MOCs which takes several monts to build though.
  9. Yes, that is allowed. Thinking on the movie "The last samurai". An excellent choice!
  10. 1 is enough, but as it will be a public voting at the end, only one picture usually doesn't describe all the nice aspects of your entry. You don't have to signup somewhere, you enter the contest by submitting an entry. There is a chance several participants pick the same battle to 'recreate', but there is a very small chance the end results will be exactly the same. You can always build the sinking Vasa. Not sure if there were Caroleans in that time though.
  11. Sea battles are allowed! Including custom sails, flags etc. It doesn't matter how many soldiers are in there, we don't expect every participant has a regiment of 100+ soldiers at hand. Good luck all!
  12. That is amazing Derfel Cardarn! Somehow you manage to bring me in awe every time again! The waterwheel is just awesome, as well for those detailed buildings! The landscape is coming along nicely. Keep it up!
  13. Done. I have chosen for more better sets (less big parts etc.), to keep their approved quality, and more modular, exclusive sets like the Imperial Flagship and the Market Village. Now let's hope our wishes will be granted.
  14. I think you can call him dead in a few minutes. A very nice minifig Admiral! Perhaps you should change the pants to another colour (and perhaps making the pants scarred as well), it is all quite red now. I think you have done a great job on this one, very clever as well! Any reason why that minifig has my face?
  15. I'm sure he put technic axles in the masts to keep them straight and strong.
  16. Can you resize your pictures to a maximum of 800x600? It would be very useful for people with the slower connections. A tutorial can be found here. Thanks! The Royalty looks great, I love the colours and the tumblehome. A lantern on the back would be a nice touch. I also like the influences of the Imperial Flagship. Nice job!
  17. Sure she does! Thanks. The bow has been done for one side, still working on it. Thanks Captain! Thanks! Untill now she has no place to stay, so a port would be nice! I keep the decks studded, as I want to keep the LEGO feel, and tiling means I have to tile 3 decks... Almost enough to tile the floor of my bedroom! Thanks General! Thanks! Thanks Captain! It takes more then 1 bricklink order. Thanks, and all the best with your ship! Thank you Admiral! She needs some refining on some points, but the rough thing is there indeed. It shouldn't take much longer to complete the hull. Thank you very much Perfectionist! A great comment! I'm very glad you like it, that means a lot to me. I was quite surpised the technique I use turned out nicely. As for the grates, I did remember seeing it somewhere before, just didn't know where. I'm glad to give you your deserved credit. Thanks for pointing that out, and my compliments for the design! The Fourageux has exactly 44 guns, I was planning to make it 54, but she would become too narrow compared her length. Thanks for your kind words, and I wish you all the best with your Superbe. An amazing project! Thanks for the comments all!
  18. Exactly as Ricecracker said, it also depends on how big your MOC is of course. Make sure the MOC in the box is sealed well so it can hardly move around in there, avoiding major damage. I have to take my own car instead of the train to an upcoming event this time since it's just too big. I believe dear Ricecracker has mentioned everything already, following his tips should guarantee your MOC safety.
  19. That is certainly a good pair of ships! Amazing details and shapes! As soon as possible.
  20. It's great to see her back again, under full sail this time! Great job Commodore! Don't pummle her around too much with your fleet. Good job!
  21. Wow Admiral! What a stunning update! She looks great, awesome lines and her masts start turning out really well! This is certainly becoming one of the best ships I've ever seen. Great job so far, and good luck with the rigging process!
  22. Fantastic work Captain! I'm in awe. Her main line is visible already, and it is becoming a beast of a ship! The stern turns out amazing already with the painting on the wulf, very good job on that. The interior looks great too! Although it looks rather big in there, I thought those ships were more cramped. Perhaps filling it up with more barrels and crew might work. I also would place some lanterns on the ceilings or pillars, to add even more detail. Furthermore I have nothing to say, it's just amazing. Keep it up Captain, and good luck!
  23. This is very nice indeed! The perfect pirate hideout! The rope bridge technique is awesome, and I might use that in the future! You've put a lot of effort in this creation, and it is paying off nicely. Keep it up and thanks for sharing already!
  24. It would be an honour! Here is my new face, which I will use as long as the Fourageux is still afloat. Clicky Already thanks mate!
  25. You are seriously on the roll Joey! Great work!
