Brickington Sails Forth! Episode One: Foreign Pirates, and a Lesso
Captain Blackmoor replied to Duck's topic in Pirate MOCs
Sure do! It was very enjoyable, great job! You have a sense of humour, the economic lesson was quite funny! The voices are very clear, and you did a nice job on the background! The sea was also done nicely. And the end was just priceless. Good job! -
In that case, you should check out Admiral Croissant's frigate! He based it on the HMS Surprise. Click! Hope that helps and good luck!

All these new minifigs are very good to use as Buccanneers in the Meditteranaen Sea. Now we only need a chebek. There are a lot of interesting pieces in there, but I mostly like the minifigs and ostriches. Ostriches are awesome.

I'm speechless Zcerberus! Those mortars are just perfect! Exactly as how they look like in real! The fort is just lovely, the new things you add now and then make it even better every time. It's so detailed all! It's so cool to look at! Great job and keep it up Zcerberus!

Hilarious image! It explains the title well. Cats are cute, but also very useful to flush the toilet I guess... Good thing I don't have a cat.

Haha, grisly! Good job on building that big candelier too!

That is a real nice frigate you've got there. It's new style is really appealing to me. The rigging has been done very well. The shapes look good too. Great job on it mate! Soon!

I stumbled across this wonderful creation while browsing Flickr. I think you all will like it. "After years of terrorizing sailors and villagers along the Atlantic Coast, Brickbeard's ship was sunk off the coast of New Orleans by Admiral Jackson. The year was 1753. Unfortunately for Brickbeard, he was captured, while his crew all swam to safety. Understandably the people of New Orleans were anxious to put an end to this infamous Pirates reign of terror. They had gathered outside the court house to see that justice was served. Frankly, things didn't look good for Brickbeard. Foremost on his mind was, where had his faithful crew gone? Surely they could be counted on to come to his aid in this most dire hour." More on Flickr. Enjoy.

I have spend a lot today on a large order from Bricklink, to finish both my ship MOCs. And with some spare days ahead it means building time!

Catch me! It was nice and comfortable though, felt no cold at all!

Seems to be you have forgotten he has a backup, which is ready soon.... On topic again: That is a nice transport Captain Stabbin! The cannon carts are great and you've done a nice job on the landscaping! Perhaps some different ground colours will add even more realism to it.

A very nice review Ricecracker! It was a pleasure to read it. Now I really want to have this set as well, even if it was for the minifigs and ostriches alone! Great job.

Ouch, this is a tough choice... I vote for Christoph's Dentist Office #11, a great build and lovely details. There were many, many good entries, it's sad we may only choose one. Thank you all for participating!

HEX; High Energy Magic building

Certainly one of the best buildings so far! Those big red balls on top look a bit odd to me but the rest is quite nice. Great colours and architecture. Nice picture artwork as well, as usual! -
How cute.

The Doctors Office - "Hooks & Pegs R Us"
Captain Blackmoor replied to Dr. Steve's topic in Pirate MOCs
A very nice entry into the Community Build! Really good! The roof looks great, and the interior is even better! I love all the detail you've put in there. The red crosses on the front of the building are a bit 'non-piratical' but I think it fits great with it. Great job and thanks for participating! Soon! -
You guys have taste! Porcupine Tree for me these days!
-
Very nice and creative! Tops! Can't wait for more.

A recent picture from myself, before cycling 10 kilometers through the snow blizzard outside. Some apple cider really helps agains the cold!
-
A neat build, it would fit nicely on the frontpage. Soon!

A nice entry into the Community Build! The building itself could do with some spicing up, but the fire truck is just one piece of awesomeness! Very well done!

Pirates are just lazy.

What an astonishing creation Derfel Cardarn! I'm in love with the corner house, one of the best buildings I've ever seen! As for the rest, it is just awesome. The beach, the street and the overall feel are just epic. I'm really looking forward to the next part!

Thank you very much Bonaparte! I'm proud you like it. This ship is going to have several functional systems. - A working rudder, connected with ropes to the steering wheel. - A rope system to shove the cannons out of the gunports one by one. - Functional anchor system - Something very special for the rigging, more on that later. Thank you very much Captain! Thanks for your kind words Errorist! In the past days Le Fourageux has reached her full size: Exactly 140 studs long from the figurehead to the lanterns at the back, and about 30 studs wide. It is between minifig scale (although very close to) and minifig illusion scale. Thanks Captain! The 68 pounder carronade is just a common cannon, but with a cut off barrel. Nicely polished so it just looks like a real LEGO brick without modification. The tiled hull is very similar to Captain Greenhair's Prince Willem, although a bit smaller and in black. I have used a lot of jumper plates, 1x1 tiles and even more black plates in all sizes. Haha, yes I have spend some good time on the headrails, and I'm glad the result pays off. There is a lot of pressure on the forecastle though. Thanks for all the feedback!
