  1. You can extend the mast pieces using black round 1x1 bricks, with a hose through them for strength. You can add clips on there to attach another yard.
  2. A ship with two midsections, I'd make it three and then it's best to place one mast on it to create a sloop-like boat. You need to know which scale you are going to use, how many masts you want, how many decks and guns. 2 large midsections are not enough to build a proper ship I'm afraid.
  3. True, we try to blog as many entries as possible as usual in every contest. The TOR is a contest with a lot of entries. Hard to keep up sometimes!
  4. A perfect build Skalldyr! Great job. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] It deserves a spot on the frontpage! Good luck in the contest!
  5. A very good job on this one Ratshot! I see a lot of improvements in your building skill! I really dig the rat at the bottom of the statue. The distinguished stairs make it look like a real temple. Just excellent!
  6. + + and/or You've got a pretty high mast already then. You can let the mast go through the decks of the ship, or place the mast base at the deck for height differences as well. Of course you can also make a brickbuilt mast using round 2x2 bricks with axles or hoses in it to keep the mast straight. Hope that helps!
  7. Great comics again Commodore Hornbricker! The first time I got slain by crabs who ocassionally appear at my plate during dinner time. I hope you'll enjoy your bubble bath after you've hauled the dead bodies out.
  8. Certainly! What a nice atmosphere in here! The place really looks like a kind of shrine, and splitting up the water is hilarious. The loot stash, the dead redcoat body, the light brick, all very nice! It deserves a spot on the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Soon!
  9. I'm still laughing about the last comic! What an amazing good one! What is that purple squid-looking part? Something new from the Atlantis theme?
  10. Those vessels are very nice, probably also the best digital ones I've ever seen. Keep it up and keep us updated!!
  11. It looks like a carronade base to me. They had no wheels since the recoil was huge. A very nice vignette, I love the details stashed into such a small space. I don't really like the placement of the grates though, directly at the end of the stairs. Still, a very good job on this.
  12. Thanks the Inventor! Today I have found the perfect technique for the bow, and it works! The shape is perfect now and it fits nicely with the headrails. Pictures are coming soon. ;)
  13. I get quite a lot lately. =)

I've read him but not responded yet. Shame be upon me!

You need to be member of the Bouwsteen to be able to obtain a showtable?

  14. A very funny entry The Inventor! I had a good laugh at the end! Tell me, where are we going to spend all this treasure on?? [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Good luck!
  15. It's indeed a large piece, a prefab, which I don't like to have as a lifeboat. I'm thinking about a brickbuilt lifeboat hull... She will have 2 lifeboats, and each of them has a small rowing boat on top.
  16. I'll take that for dinner then. See you on the plate! =)

  17. Thanks Tycho, it is very close to scale. Thanks Fires-Storm! Thanks Captain! The large lifeboat will be able to carry a mast, which will be stored somewhere else though. I'm glad as well it turned out so nicely. Were fruits ain't good for? Thank you very much Jack! Thanks Rick! As you indeed have seen no curved brick has been used, I only know one to find. Lots of hinges! I'm working on a brand new technique for the bow curves though. The headrails remain the same though. That technique will be shared later on. I'm glad you like it Capt. Stabbin!
  18. Very nice and original! Good luck!
  19. Unfortunately not, only real LEGO bricks. Custom ropes, sails and Brickforge/Brickarms weapons are allowed.
  20. There should be at least a rat in there, or build a brickbuilt rat. Not necessarily pirates, but make sure it looks like pirate themed. It's a pirate contest after all.
  21. I can hope I smell well once baked.. Very nice comic Commodore! I had a good laugh with "son of a croissant!"
  22. Come on lads! Build a shire to worship your greatest leader and/or faction!
