  1. A very nice entry into the Community Build! A really nice building. The powder magazine and dining room above it looks great. It's quite detailed as well! Thanks for participating!
  2. What a nice entry! It's awesome! The exterior is really nice, great colours and the foliage on the ground looks great! The interior looks great as well, the tooth sign on the floor is nicely done. The dentist's workshop looks more like a torture chamber to me.
  3. Whoa! What an amazing piece of work Admiral! I see a great ship over there, with a nice coloursheme and great shapes. Almost like a real ship model! I'd love to see a picture from the stern galleries, looks great! Keep it up Admiral!
  4. There is absolutely nothing to apologise for! It is just your opinion! Though, next time you disagree with me about a chimney, I'll put you in there. :pir-skull:
  5. What an amazing surprise! Especially these Steve minifigs are very rare. And to be honest, I have never known that dress was avaible in green as well. Your friend wil burst in tears if he knows what he just gave away! A nice catch for you Admiral!
  6. Epic pictures! Great quality, and the sets look like they are in perfect condition too. As new. Nice job!
  7. What an amazing ship! It looks even better in real! She has awesome shapes, nice colours and a nice job on detailing already! Very nice. Would you like me to edit the title of this topic? Since there is a real LEGO model now as well!
  8. I think it certainly does like a chimney! Though, it would be more 'chimney-like' if there was a little bit of smoke in some way. Still a nice way to create a chimney in my opinion, it goes well with the rest.
  9. LEGO gets always a bit dusty when exposed, or you have to clean it every day. I think exposing them is much better then store them in the boxes and hide them. A lego set does look much better on a shelf then an empty shelf and a big box under the sofa. I would put the sets back in the boxes, and wrap the boxes in some clothes to transport them safely. Small chance to get scratches on it then. Just make sure there are no sharp stones in the clothes.
  10. I think the Admiral is right indeed. I only have studied larger ships, while dear Admiral Croissant is building a single deck frigate as well.
  11. That is the best LEGO version of the Black Pearl by far! An outstanding ship. It really has the bit 'bulky' look from the Pearl which I really like. I agree with Greenhair though, it appears being a bit short considering it's height. I wish your husband all the best and good luck!
  12. I think it would look nice on the frontpage of Classic-Pirates.com Soon!
  13. That looks great Exotrator! That roof technique is awesome. The whole building is nicely done, a nice interior and exterior. Very good job!
  14. Looks great general! Outstanding progress. Just a small nitpick: The crew slept between their cannons, below the gundeck we found the orlop deck, with powder magazines and sickbay. Places which should be under the waterline. The hold lies under the orlop deck. Her colours are great, and it's awesome you are going to add an interior! Keep it up!
  15. And so it is. Please resize your pictures to a maxiumum size of 800x600, that makes it much easier for people with a slow connection. Your horse unit looks fine to me, I like his spear and hat a lot. Perhaps some work on the horse, another colour saddle for example. You have switched to a redcoat I see... hmmm.... :pir-skull:
  16. I think I understand the reason why there are no interior pictures. A neat creation Trash! I like the colours and the sign. Perhaps you could add another floor to make it a little higher, but I like it anyway. Great job.
  17. I just experienced how frustrating it is to remove tiles from a sturdy baseplate. The thick baseplates. I had to use a needle to remove them. To remove a small 1x1 plate from a baseplate I place a 1x4 plate on the 1x1, pull it off and easily remove the 1x1 from the 1x4. Nice topic!
  18. I would call it HMS Neptune. Although the HMS Minotaur sounds very nice too... It's always hard to pick a name for ships, strange.
  19. What an outstanding creation already! I don't see many MOCs based on LDD creations. Her shapes look very well and the stern turned out really nice! Great choice of colours too. Soon!
  20. I agree. It is very frustrating if your BrickLink order has arrived, and you wish you had ordered that one particular essential brick as well... Think of what you are going to build, then check what you have, and what you don't have. Then it's time to buy the parts. Try to order as many parts as possible in one order, to save shipping costs. Hope that helps!
  21. YaY! I wish I could make another entry, I just have too many cruel ideas.
  22. What a wonderful scene! Very nice find Lego Warlord! The swamp looks very real, the shack is very nice as well. Great colour mixture. The crocodile in the corner is nice too, although I wish his back was less smooth.
  23. Thanks! Thanks captain! The bow is actually very round, exactly like a half circle. It must be the pictures but the sides are very smooth. It needs some refining though. I agree with you on the catheads, they are too long and I will shorten them, just forgot to do it... Thanks Admiral! I hope you did enjoy your croissant. The beam for the anchor is quite long at this moment, I will shorten it. I'm glad you like the figurehead! Thanks Joey! I'm glad you like it so much. We'll talk about the trip soon. Thanks Connor! I'll explain the solution for the pressure with a picture soon. The anchor beams indeed are too long, and I'm working on the 45 degree angle in it. Lots of pressure in that area... I'm glad you like it Captain!
  24. A very nice building The Inventor! Great interior too. Your pictures have a great quality, nice job on that as well. Details are perfect as well, except for the door missing. Nice entry into the CB!
  25. Hello all. It has been quite a long time since I've posted an update. And after some great progress here is finally the latest update. Some of you might have seen already some earlier pictures on Flickr or directly via MSN. In the previous week I had a building weekend with our Admiral Croissant, some great progress has been made on our ships. After refining the shapes and making it more secure it is worthly to look at. Anyway, here is what I currently have, enjoy! The overview. The stern which needs some tiny adjustments. The view from the quarterdeck, including fire-estinguish buckets! And then the part I'm very proud of: The bow! With a new way to create the always-so-hard-to-do-headrails. The whole construction has exploded several times due the high pressure, but that problem has been solved. The flowers for the anchor rope holes will be replaced by other bricks. Also the yellow hoses near the figurehead aren't quite finished. The figurehead! A silver knight walking over the skulls of the defeated enemies. The sword of justice in the one hand, the key to freedom in the other. Another overview. I need to order some bricks to get the colours right. Sneak peak of the 68 pounder Carronade on the forcastle. Credit for the barrel goes to Admiral Croissant. Life on board isn't that hard... At long as Admiral Croissant gets his croissants on time. That'll be all for now. Thank you for watching! Next time I expect to have the hull finished! Many more pictures on Flickr. See you around!
