I love the stable with the cow in it. The roof looks nice with the wooden poles beneath it, and the rat is a nice addition.

I don't have the Soldier's fort so I don't now much about it but I think it's made this way: A few from these bricks in white and a musket of course. Hope this might help you out.

Funny thing is I'm working on a boat building facility too. I'm curious how they are going to look like.

I recognize some ships: The Zeven Provinciën, the Prins Willem ( at least it looks like it is ) and De Eendracht. Awesome ships! I live in the Netherlands as well (and quite fond of the VOC) and it's remarkable I didn't know this. Looks like you had a lot of fun there! Thanks for sharing those wonderful ships with us!!

Hehe, cruel idea... :pir-skull: That reminds me of the great Pillage the Village Contest!

You are going great so far! Very nice. I like the beach and docks technique. The crane looks great too. I like your town buildings too, but the Governor's Mason is still my favorite, it has better and more details and the colours are more realistic. The only thing I don't like is the red stripe on the docks. The red used in the wood structure looks ok ( I still prefer black) but the stripe on the stone part isn't my thing. A suggestion: A warehouse on the docks to store goodies would be a nice touch.

I like it! Very funny and original vig! I love the pyramid at the background and the cross on the floor. The idea is great.

Not too bad, I like the cruelty in this MOC. :pir-skull: The pole with the skull in the water is nice. I don't see why the pirate carries a key though.

The SES is a beautiful ship, and something beautiful needs care to keep being beautiful. Good thing is you do take care of it! I put my dusty bricks in a bath tub and let it float for an hour so the dust will be removed. I've discovered something too: white bricks will become yellowed when they are exposed to sunlight. I keep my MOCs away from sunlight by putting them in a shady place. I also put the white bricks I don't need in a box so sunlight won't be able to ruin my white bricks. This seems to be very excessively but I know how it is to see a completely white ship turning out in yellow. Hope this might help.

NEW Shipyard Positions - recruiting selection finished
Captain Blackmoor replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Hello all! I'd like to become Video Editor, I have quite much spare time per day so I can easily get the 30 minutes. I'm experienced with video editing and short stop-motion movies. I'm working at a large stop-motion movie together with YnyklY. I'm very motivated to take this job and become even more experienced in video editing. I have the things I need to make a very nice video in a not too long time. I have made loads of short stop-motion movies and they are actually too short to put them on Youtube, I'm currently busy connecting those short movies to a large movie. Hope I can help! Congratulations to Wouwie!! You deserved it! -
Nice castle army you have there!! Welcome to Eurobricks, have a great time here!

Haha, I like it. Nice details on the ship and nice usage of the door at the ground. So where are my plans? | Nice job. -
Admiral Benbow Inn by The Brick Time
Captain Blackmoor replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
An outstanding creation I must say! Awesome details and nice techniques have been used in here. It looks great. The only improvement I can suggest is adding some details on the chimneys, the look a bit bald. Does anyone know if this has an interior? If it has so, I guess it will be even nice as the building himself! -
Port Augustine & La Formidable, both WIP

The sacks are Playmobil sacks. I ran out of 'cargo and goodies' stuff so I placed some sacks in there to fill it up. I'm thinking about custom made cargo accessoires. I've also made some cottonbundles by tying up a tissue and put a Lego rubber band around it. It looks quite realistic in my opinion. I need two from that 'trade route' baseplates to create a trade route in the town. -
You're welcome Mr. Phes!

You can use this as a helmet with a yellow plume. This is a nice torso for it. You should also use a plain yellow or white torso. I should use a metallic-silver or chrome-silver dish for a shield. It can be connected to a minifig hand using a tap. The leggings should be plain white or yellow. This could be a nice weapon. I have no idea for the head, perhaps a plain white or yellow? I hope this might help!

Aww man I feel sad for the poor farmer... The soldiers act very cruel against the poor man. I like the story behind this MOC. The MOC is really nice made, the soldiers faces look great in this scene. A good choice. The eagle on the tree ( tree is very cool too ) is great! I'm not that fond of the snake but the eagle is awesome. Again, you've done a great job.

Port Augustine & La Formidable, both WIP
Captain Blackmoor replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Pirate MOCs
Updates!! I've been busy this week and I've done a lot. The main deck is almost complete and so is the bow. Enjoy! The "La Formidable" in it's current state. The stern is still under construction and will be completed later on. Some additional guns are ordered along some other bricks like tiles to make the hull more realistic. The bow needs some work as well to make it less angular. Here is the bow how it looks like now. The figurehead looks nice in my opinion. The bow could do with some details but I'm working on it to make it so realistic as possible. The bow sprit will come later on. I'm proud of this picture which shows the ship will be modular and has a high playability. It is also very handy to fix some things deep in the ship. You can even transport the whole ship in a box whitout damaging it. When you arrive the ship can be build whitin a minute. Great for exhibitions. The guns for the large gun deck. I want brown cannons with the new barrels but the red ones are ok so far. The "La Formidable" has 6 gun ports each side on this deck but I have cannons for only 5 gun ports each side. The small storage room in the back of the ship. The stern will be placed here and can be removed. I have still some trouble with connecting the stern to the main deck. The ship won't have a working rudder because there's not much space for the mechanism. Thanks for watching!!! Comments appreciated!!! -
I love it, the rocks are awesome. I also like the little docks and the fortress build in it. Nice improvements at the roof too, it's more realistic now. The little fishing boat looks great too and is a lovely addition to this MOC.

I love them! Especially the shields look great. It would be awesome if you have an army of vikings with custom shields and torso's.
-
I like them all! Very nicely done. My favorites are the Industrial Age merchant and the Blitz.

Which pirate captain do you like now?
Captain Blackmoor replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
I voted for Captain Roger/Redbeard because he's just my favorite. It's the only pirate captain I got so far. That's because the new pirate sets aren't avaible here yet. -
The Batavia was Dutch indeed. I don't think I have myself clear. The Batavia (1620) didn't even have a ship's wheel. After 1760 the British updated their vessels and placed the ship's wheel under the poop deck. This design was so good almost everyone copied the design into their ships. The right spot to place the ship's wheel is under the poop deck, it is most historic accurate.

Secret Competition Final Round!
Captain Blackmoor replied to Hinckley's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This was a hard choice... All these entries are !!! I've voted for the Dutch 18th century yacht. I'm planning to make this ship too because it's small but very nicely. The rigging is a big +, the hull looks great too. I've seen this beauty in real and it's almost the same as the ship you've build! You didn't even forget the swords on the hull. I've voted for this but all other entries have my compiments as well! Great builds!! -
I love it! Especially the ship with the Redbeard Runner sails. The fort ( I believe it is ) looks great as well, the rock with the greenery on it like Erdbeereis mentioned too. I also like the roofing used in this MOC.
