  1. Yeah I can see a McLaren 12C, and I also see a Modena 360!!! But lets face it, Modern supercars are just curves designed to cut though the air as best as possible, so there will be some design over-lapse. hehe I'm really looking forward to this! Outstanding. Make a WIP please.
  2. You so should make a car you have designed!!!! That would be ultimate. Also what do you guys think of being a V6???? MUCH easier to fit in a model, but kinda weird for a top shelf Ford yeah? This is some stupid animation ^ LOL Also this........
  3. Thanks man! I will do my best. Wow thanks very much! This would be a long term build as I'm usually building 2-4 mocs at a time.
  4. Well I've been wondering what to make for my next project, as I really wanted to make a modern curvy supercar for once! And just when I was about to give up look what pops up! What can I say? I love the looks, and I wasn't really a fan of the old and really old GT, but this one I like! I'm also looking forward to building in a new style for me consisting of Black and Blue rigid and pneumatic hoses. The idea is for it to be ultra light and cheap to build using 8070 rims and tires and possible those nice Ferrari rims. I'm not sold on the back of the car tho, kinda looks like a skull with firey eyes! LOL What do you guys think? Love... HATE? Do you think they copied something? *cough R35 GTR cough* (side windows)
  5. Nice compact way of placing servo and L motor.
  6. Love it! At first I didn't think it was that small scale, amazing!
  7. I post the parts list here as soon as I can, but you can start collecting white and black tiles! 1x4 and (at least 36) 1x6 in white (at least 36 1x8 in black (at least 40) Thanks for the nice feedback guys! I probably will make a new thread in a few weeks time launching a few instructions. Lincoln (paid) GTHO (paid) Menck Crane (free) Hybrid buggy (free if I get time)
  8. I wanted to use just the springs to create a much smaller shock. So I guess that's not ok?
  9. Yes, I will start on instructions tmr. When I decided to build this, I thought great NOT a Ford.....But no, still making Fords. hehehe. I also remember reading that Continentals were the most expensive car you could buy at the time, even more than a Rolls Royce. They also only made around 2500 convertibles as well, making them quite rare today.
  10. All you need to get is 6x Energizer lithium batteries! These are around 1.75V new and kick asss! After an hour of driving my Deadly Nightshade buggy their voltage was around 1.72 and still going strong! I still have not made them close to flat as they are now being used in experiments. They are more expensive yes, but it looks like you will get 3-4 times the run time of cheapies, and with the added bonus of more speed!
  11. HAHA, valid point! After I get it running we shall see how long they last. I shall give that a shot! Cheers.
  12. Thats awesome! but yes you do need a switch on one of the XL's. I do have a switch. Does this work for you? Do you get stalling? I'm very curious to know! To answer some questions. I'm using V2 and don't seem to have mechanical issues, I'm thinking its more a power problem but don't under stand under almost no load 2XL and a L cut out. Yes Lipko that is a floating 3L but using new 8t I don't think its a problem, the frame is only 1 stud think but bracing seems ok. Ahh thanks very much! I sorta understand, I thought something like this was happening. So gearing down the L would work better? But if it is slower it wont turn on the spot, correct me if I'm wrong.
  13. Hey everyone. I built a compact subtractor as I thought I would give it a go. Unfortunately I doesn't work very well, doing 1-3 turns before the current protection kicks in and stops. Any ideas why? Is it cos I used the L motor and not another XL? I wanted it to turn on the spot so I thought a faster motor would work, and it does, it just cuts out. This is taken with the BB and IR not in place. Cheers.
  14. Thanks for the great feed back guys! I'll post some more pics soon. HAHA, but where will it go? Got more shelves?
  15. That is looking really nice. Great job so far.
  16. Sorry if this has been answered but can you use 3rd party tires? And can you use just the springs from shocks? Cheers.
  17. Looking good! I really like those wheels hubs. Clever how the 8t acts like a CV.
  18. Thanks guys! XD You all need to thank that poor M motor! haha. I'll add some more details now.
  19. How low can you go? Chassis dragging the ground? Yeap that is as low as you can go!!!! Happy New year! Well I'm very pleased to present my Lincoln Continental Lowrider. I have been wanting to make a Lowrider for some time and what better choice than the coolest car ever made? This Moc features suicide doors, opening boot and HOG steering as well as being really really low. - 46cm long, 20 cm wide and 13.5cm height (Max) - 1x M motor using 7.4v lipo, and switch. (Can also fit Standard BB) - 1.76 KG - Locking mechanism for in upright position allowing for suspension to be pushed up and down with out stress to lifting gear. - Full independent suspension all round. - HOG steering using push-pull rod. (Very smooth) - Main chassis is just 1 stud thick and features a cool sliding chassis (and body work) to accommodate the 2 stud think doors, allowing movement longways whilst maintaining strength. Any other questions or suggestions please leave a comment below. Cheers.
  20. Yes Kiwis too! This will be a great year for Technic too! I can foresee new Gearboxes and bluetooth powered mocs! TC everyone.
  21. Happy New Year for Australia!!!!
  22. Thought I would revive this thread as its nearly the New year here! 1 hour to go! and yes I'm wasted...... After finishing my Moc I deserve it! Shall see tmr. Any other Aussies, Kiwis??
  23. I'm looking forward to seeing 3 different versions of this machine. Maybe that could be a future contest, everyone build the same machine!!!
