  1. Enchanted Island all the way, such a good jungle set, and it can be used for the pirates as well (with some small enhancements)
  2. I use human fertilizer, it's free and it works the best. You really should try it! The fresher it is the better it works . I am first going to make an army worth the name "army", then I am going to start building some battlescene MOCs and probably some ships and forts. I currently also have: 1 BSB+1incomplete one , 2SES, 2 Imperial flagships + 1 bluecoat flagship and 1 Caribean Clipper. Also a trading post and the bluecoats fortress, as well as almost all the smaller sets. So I have some building parts... Now I am slowing down a bit on buying till next month (actually till next paycheck ), I don't even dare to calculate how much I spend on sites as Bricklink, eBay, Kapaza in just one months time
  3. Mayor Arnold Toht is my favorite character, but Short Round is quite cool too.
  4. true, you made some huge improvements, another big from me!
  5. Then they are(partially?) copied from the "Hoogland" regiment. I am referring to the swordsmen unit, the Austrians and Germans had swordsmen till after 1800, equiped with armor and pistols. I must admit they have grey or red pants in my book though. They are also referred to as "landskneght", and mostly used pikes, two-handed swords or a shortsword with a round shield (anti-infantry unit). If you have the first Cossacks pcgame you can see how they look like. Hochland= german slang for "highlands" and since you didn't post a nation or regimental number I let my imagination work. I know these books in-and-out. Warhammer did copie looks/uniforms before (IMHO almost all of them are copied of another game/nation/book/...eg. LOTR) description BTW Bonaparte, you can see some of my books in my "napoleonic army thread" Those 2 books in the back (leftside)are the napoleonic era uniform books you are so interested in. You are still welcome to have a look at them, Bonaparte, when you have the time that is. (or I stop by at your house sometime if that is easier for you, I would like to see your army too)
  6. ...smelly sweat. While eating his Mega Macs and sweating this intensively, Sinner didn't notice the man that entered the restaurant...a man dressed completely in a pirate outfit...a man that had GREEN hair! The man with the green hair seemed to be a young pirate Captain, he had only just received his promotion and he wanted to celebrate this at the Mac Donalds, since his culture didn't like to spend much money on things as going to the restaurant (or anything else, actually)he only ordered a glass of water and waited untill the other clients were done eating. Waiting for his first plate to become available, he took a very long sigarrete with a kind of weed in it, looking like green grass and put it in his mouth. Being loyal to the nature of his kind, he asked Sinner for a fire. Sinner said he didn't smoke without looking at the Captain. The young pirate Captain then said: "Hey, I think I saw you before..., aren't you that walruss-dude from......."

Gussland....whaaa hilarious! Looks good so far Guss ! Please keep us updated.
  8. Looks very good, Dr. X, I especialy like the shape you have given it, the "Jazz Jackrabit look", it also resembles a bit to Darkwin Duck's plane, from a Disney serie I used to watch when I was young...different color though. A job well done , I say!
  9. True, as you can also see on their history line, my dad used to have some wooden Lego toys, he inherited it from someone who collected them. I will ask him if he still has any and post a pic of them (if he has any, that is). Please post a pic too, Buttons, if you bought one...we're curious!
  10. Sorry for double posting, but I have an update: the French Line Infantry (see first post above for pics). I build this unit today because I just received an eBay order I made: 15 mixed imperial soldiers/guards!
  11. I would prefer the Castle theme, but then I must also say this is just MHO, everyone has to decide for himself! We really can't just choose for you, everyone is different, it would be like asking: "What is better: bananas or apples?" If we all say castle, and you follow us, you might end up feeling sorry you didn't choose Star Wars (or the other way around). If you can't choose, go with Captain Zuloo's "option".
  12. Hi there Pawel, glad to have another Pole with us! Please feel welcome to our community.
  13. Oh-oeh...so cool! I must see that movie! Please make a comic or something if you ever have the time, this is such a good theme !
  14. OK...I will remember that...(the fact I can't trust you ) Oh boy, barely twelve years old...you better behave . Anyways: Welcome to the EB forum! Hope you will feel welcome here.
  15. True, I can't think of a reason why it sold bad, it's such a popular theme (eg. Playmobil has grown large with it's western theme...), and it had so much useful items for my Pirates (cannon, weapons, horses, the trees and bricks,...) The MOC above looks fine BTW, although not that difficult to build orcvery large, I still like it .
  16. ...listening to the thunder and seeing the lightning, the evil whicked Hinckley, running behind the fat and wobbly walruss to reclaim the blue bucket and to cut off his (Sinners') tusks and other protrusion(s), fell over a rock, hitting his head against a redoak tree while one of its branches pierced his body, ripping his torso open and dropping his darkened heart to the ground. Hinckley, after regaining his balance, took his black heart in his hands and said:..."am I really this bad? How have I become like this?...I will change my life, to never steal anything from poor Sinner or anyone else again! I must destroy this heart of darkness!", destroying it by cutting it apart and burying the remains under the redoak tree. "First, I need another heart, preferably one that beats, and then I will repay my debts!"and the fatally wounded Hinckley left on his quest to find a righteous heart, leaving Sinners Fabuland colletion under some leaves that had fallen of the redoak tree.....
  17. Maybe you can give them some accesories, I don't know what timeago you chose, but maybe one of them could have lost his head forcin him to carry it in his hands, and perhaps another one could wear a cape/cloak+tophat? A viking helmet+sword? Just some suggestions, it is fine as it is, but I would have "enhanced" my skellies a bit...also the heads could be more evil as was suggested by Oky Wan Kenobi.
  18. Looks fantastic, Bonaparte, thanks for sharing this to us. Especcialy the minifigs look great, and according to my historical uniform books they look quite realistic too. The wagon and building look amazing as well, and so does the table of their staff.
  19. Yes, how many are you prepared to pay? My nephew has some he doesn't use and might be willing to sell them. Too bad I don't have any myself...
  20. or redistribute them (2 on each side), or else it might tumble over It looks very good BTW , I especialy like the cockpit, the colors look a bit unnatural to the SW theme though...
  21. DarthPineapple, I think your MOC looks just fine and does what it is supposed to do: let people think why TLC is so much more expensive in the European Union, stated the fact the (former?)Lego HQ is located down there... it is exgagerated yes, but that is only to show his point with which I agree.
  22. Well done, DarthPineapple, your little MOC looks just fine, the only thing I could say is that the sceletons look a bit plain/basic. Still, a beautiful MOC !
  23. How many times we got to vote this...the BSB ALWAYS WINS! Unless TLC releases something better or the SES lovers all open 2 or 3 spoofaccounts, the BSB will rule the seas forever!
  24. Good review and good set: I never got one of the Egypt sets, sadly they didn't sell them in my supermarket and I only got to know about Bricklink a few months ago.
  25. I bought my first on for 50 Euros, and my second SES for only 40Euros (55USD), in belgium those are just the standard prices... Too bad you don't live in Belgium Captain Zuloo, I gave you other reasons too so maybe you should consider moving down here after all
