  1. ....runs away with the blood and fabuland collection, right to the graveyard where he empties the bottle of blood into an old grave, ressurecting...
  2. blood and then he steals the mans...
  3. THAT WAS SO COOL ! PS: can anyone explain to me with what the little boy was playing in the end ? I saw it was vibrating and I only want to know because my parents have those too... (joke) Dolce Gabbana Glasses was good too
  4. Yes, that really looks good, I am going to fill out my form(s) if I can find them online somewhere! I hope it is international like you guys say it is, since the form on the pic you posted doesn't ask for a country/state ...now I am filling in Belgium just next to my adress anyway... I'm only sorry to see he is made out of normal bricks for the largest part (or entirely). Some SW minifigs would be nice, you know
  5. I have bought baseplates and other stuff through Amazon.com and I have a very good experience with them, do know that, depending on the country you live in, you might better send an email first about the S&H rates, they are often higher then you think, and the information page about it looks cluthered and "unhandy" if you understand what I mean... Bricklink sellers are often cheaper then TLC as well, since some of them have large discounts themselves and live in lands where Lego is cheaper then yours.
  6. Thanks for the comment, now to answer your question: I am the reincarnation of Napoleon Bonaparte. He came to me in a vision to tell me that. He commanded me to build him a new army with Lego minifigs. At one good day, he will make them alive with the Voodoo Magic he learned during his Egyptian Campaign... OR: I might have drunk too much that day, that would be the other possibility. PS: look above for the newest pics!
  7. I added my first British Units ! I am also building other British Units: - A Line Infantry Regiment (standard, looks a lot like the Coldstream Guards/standard Imperial Guards, but they have a musket instead of the rifle the Coldstreams have....) - Naval unit - Artillery unit (small, lacking men to build entire battery yet) - More Staff/officers + train (cooks, docs,....) More pics will follow soon!
  8. Looks very good, Joey Lock, did you create Fort Isle from a real fortress/island or did you make it completely from your imagination. Cause it looks really realistic for a small island fortification.
  9. Looks good, not the style I would use to build my ship MOC, but still good. I love the lanterns.
  10. Me can spel verie wel ! No, if you want to know the history of my newest title, go to the previous page and you will find out. And since Zorro has never been captured before, he also doesn't like the foresight of being chambered, so I will only post here (or anywhere else) if directly adressed or with very good reasons like defending my ego from people that think/believe I can't spell . The Legend of Zorro must always continue.....
  11. Greetings, Kamil! I see you have some of the older sets, that's always very nice. Please feel free to make some reviews of them if you want to. I bid you a warm welcome and am fairly certain you will feel right at home here!
  12. Well, another great entry to the competition. I especcialy like how you have completed the riffs, and your choice of bricks and minifigs is suited as well. from me!
  13. My opinion: Your entry seems very finished and it is of the high quality we expect from an expert MOC builder like you, therefore a from me. In relation to its size and your experience as a builder, there is not much I can add to the others advise (at least: some of the above is advise...). Possible improvements: 1) Make the pirate look a bit more into the lens. You can do this by replacing the camera focussing point or by turning his head a bit more (please don't snap the poor minifigs neck ) 2) I would have used yellow for the sand, but that is sooo your decision...just like the decision about adding blood or not... 3) A red crab/scorpion to get more color in the lower regions of your MOC? Overall: a great MOC, please build more like these. I await your large entry with patience. I just know we will get the quality everyone hopes for...
  14. Looks good, the backgounds look very realistic, but I think it would be easier to post the comics into the same thread. This way new members/readers don't have to seek the older ones. from me for this one. One possible improvement: make it a bit longer .
  15. Use custom roap for the chariots (or if you have the roap used in Pirate ships/castle/technic that might work too. just combine one or two horses with a grey small plate that has brown (or dark) wheels (2) and a 2-3 high line of grey small bricks. Most charioteers have a bow and a secondary weapons as well (spear/sword/midsized axe,...) depending on their nationality. (Egyptians: bow +axe, Romans: bow + sword, Greeks: mixed weapons) Phalanxes have a spear, but also large (mostly) square shields and a shortsword, remember that (they look a bit like a Roman legionare). Spartan phalanxes were the best BTW.
  16. Nice build, a little bit political, but since I am no USA resident, I don't really care. She always makes me think of a younger version of President Laura Rosslin (Battlestar Galactica)
  17. The stand is an excellent upgrade of your MOC, JimButcher. You also improved "bloodflow" and the placement of most of the bricks is better as well. Some suggestions/advise I can make: 1) Maybe the first pic could be taken from another side, so the open-ended bricks used for the top of the stand don't show as hard. 2) I think you should update your first post as well. Or at least don't forget to do it when you have finished your MOC. 3) The burning guy could be reaching for (a bucket?) of water...if YOU want him too ...and the pirate could hold the bucket just an inch before his nose (cruelty factor ON).
  18. My opinion: A beautiful MOC, I see many things I like, eg. the crumbling walls, the fights between pirates and soldiers... I also had to laugh with the generals hiding behind the portal , well done, shipmate! There are improvements available to me made though. Possible improvements: 1) The movements of your minifigs can be replicated better (some are good, but not all!) You also used quite some standard faces/heads, don't you have more err...non-standard? The ones with a better facial expression? 2) The ship you used looks A LOT then the original Imperial Flagship, except for the sails and flag, that is. 3) More blood could be added, since a lot of members seem they can't live without it . It might convince them to vote for you. 4) Tiling certain places could look better, like some of the baseplates and/or walls. 5) IMHO The second doorway (the one where the generals hide behind I mean) could be finished better. Non-brick related advise: 1) Watch ya' spelling! "He obviously knew they had treasure. so him and he pirate crew pillaged it." should be: "The Pirate Captain obviously knew there was a treasure, so he pillaged the village with his crew! Maybe an online translation tool or dictionarry could come in handy? I use one for my important postings too, since my primary language is Dutch, not English. 2) With such a large MOC, I would have taken larger pictures (800x600). Good work though! Make some improvements and I think you can beat the best!
  19. Your new MOC seems fine, a lot better then the previous one. Advise: 1) Maybe you could give the "collector" one red hand, to represent the blood that came off the heads... 2) Do you have black heads or something, to make a "middle line" of heads which are rotting. 3) Contact the staff ASAP to adapt your thread title, since it took me 2 days to know you changed your entry, just because I saw some new posts... from me, and have loads of fun and keep building!
  20. Thanks Hinkley, for posting these pics down here, the new ship looks quite stupid indeed, they are making it way too clear they had to cut costs for it...I'd rather pay another 20 or so if that would give me a new BSB styled ship BTW...perhaps even 50... Well, I will buy it anyway, or at least wait for the hulls, wench and other stuff to appear on Bricklink.
  21. Your MOC is finished. There are some small improvements that can be made, but since you are out of bricks it would be hard to do so. (like tiling some places as the beach and making enhancements to the waterlines) Spelling could be a bit better, mais parce que votre langue natif est Francais, je vous pardonne. I must say I really like the completed version, and I must repeat myself by stating that you DO stand a chanche with this, I also like the fact you went "all-out" with your bricks, that certainly counts for me ! And Guss...thanks for making me about the only civilian survivor...

    Dance, lass!

My opinion: Good MOC, especcialy if you know it is a WIP. You can make some improvements, listen to the many suggestions you receive(d), they might give you some (new) ideas. The theme is related to the PTV contest, so a from me! Possible improvements: 1) Put her entirely against the wall, with both her arms raised! Make it look like he is wanting more then just a dance... 2) The bloody arm could be improved by putting some small red bricks around the guy, and put him into a more "humble" position. I would remove the red bandana: if it is blood it is unrealistic, and if he is supposed to wear it, give him a blue or black one, since the red one looks too much like blood. 3) I would replace the brown "cannonballs" by other brown bricks (standard 1x1 if needed), also I would continue the brown-brick line near the ground. 4) You used some blue pieces for the water that look way too dark. 5) The wooden musket would float, not sink. Non-brick related advise: 1) Pic 1: try to show some of the pirate's face by changing the angle of your pic and perhaps rotating him a few degrees. 2) Some (very) minor spelling mistakes or typos like: "so that they start". Looks great so far, and I am awaiting the finished version with great impatience!
  23. I think I got the right one: You meant , didn't you?Next time, please include a link through the above "Insert link" function, easier for us.

    3 Robot Mechs

Your Mechs look very good, Front. Well, that would be nice, although difficult. I await to see if you can get it done... A from me anyway.
  25. I especcialy like the police set, too bad I don't live in the UK/Eire, and I am still thinking about aquiring them some other way... Thanks for the pics, but I think there is another thread already.
