  1. It does not. The cannons are ratchet joint bricks. The interior is too full of the power function motor and battery box, along with all the cords. EKnight
  2. It wouldn't be the first time Lego released the Black Pearl without Barbosa. Granted, the first one was based on the second film, and you were able to buy Barbosa in a small set. Pintel and Ragetti should have 100% been on the list, they are integral to the crew.
  3. The builder of that is a member of my LUG, and have met him a few times, so I am quite excited to see that one get through! Not sure if it will be a purchase for me or not, but I am happy to see it get through. EKnight
  4. So I built a ship incorporating some Power Function features. A ship utilizing the coral and dark bluish grey hulls together. Coral only had the top section in one Friends set, and the DBG only came in the avengers Helicarrier. The two hull pieces worked together better than I anticipated. It's built in a much later age style than what I tend to do, much straighter, less curvy. This ship honors my older brothers MOC from 17 years ago or so. He built a ship, called it the Sea Hawk. Combined with the 2009 Pirate line being announced, was what really kicked off my enduring love for Pirate Lego. I have fond memories of it. All lit up! But guess what... It does more! Click here to see a picture of it moving. It's motorized! Let me know what you think! EKnight (Incidentally, does anyone know why I can't embed pictures from Flickr like I used to? I used to be able to just copy and paste the link, and the pictures would appear here on the post. It doesn't now. I assume it has something to do with the recent forum update?)
  5. Yeah, I was just noticing that, too. The bar was much closer to sold out when I bought than it was when I just looked. Eknight
  6. I didnt think I was going to buy, it felt rather pricey, but then I got a thinking, and realized this would be very handy to have for my comic, A Pirates Life. So I checked around 11 (it opened at 9 AM my time) and there were still some to be had. So I bought it. We'll see if I fell it was worth the money, but cant go wrong with 4002 pieces. Right? Eknight
  7. Thank you, glad you all like it! The sails are custom made. I had bought some cloth that was a decent match. Then I used a combination of some Gesso, acrylic paint, watered down, and 3 or 4 coats on the cloth. I ended up getting almost a perfect match on my first try. I hope I can replicate it later on when I need to make more sails. I have two other ships built with the same batch, one is a updated old MOC, the other is waiting for a few parts to finish. Eknight
  8. My latest addition to my Imperial Fleet, commissioned and built to replace the HMS Fate, which was sadly sunk off the coast by pirates. My regular method of copying links from Flickr here for pictures doesn't seem to work. I'm guessing this is because of the Forum upgrades a while back? I don't have a lot to say about this MOC. I've been experimenting with curved slopes for the hulls a bit, especially after the success I had with the Margarite Hamilton merchant ship. I think it worked quite well again in this small vessel. Flickr album with a few more additional photos Let me know what you think! EKnight
  9. Lego themselves have revealed it on their websites, all the sets are there now available for preorder. The figs do nothing for me, dont look all that useful for someone, like me, who uses yellow figs. But the ship is much more interesting to me than i anticipated, I may have to get it. Swap out the mainsail and crew, maybe add a bowsprit, but not modification needed. Eknight
  10. Its very well incorporated, I don't think too many people shpuld complain, its nice and subtle. Eknight
  11. You add me on board there! A 2 in 1 licensed set like that would be only a dream, but one worth dresming about. EKnight
  12. I agree. I love getting more variety for my pirate crews. Can someone share images of what these two looked like before? They are characters from a comic book back then, correct?
  13. I love the briwn torso, more variety in pirate torsos is always a win. The tan torso will be a nice addition as well. EKnight
  14. I would still buy it, but I wouldn't enjoy it as much as a playscale ship. EKnight
  15. I too am hoping for molded hull parts. I just love the Lego Hull pieces, and I can't get enough of them. Yes, they are sometimes annoying to MOC around, But I still love em. EKnight
  16. I would put it as unlikely for both. As pointed out above, most Lego ship models start at the sea line, so a below decks doesn't exist. This is also judging based on the rumored parts count that others have pointed out as similar to some MOCs. As for the hammocks, I would guess slightly more likely, but I really have no idea how Lego would go about it. EKnight
  17. I would give it a very high chance that there will be cloth sails, and, if there are minifigs, most likely shooting cannons.
  18. I 120% agree with that statement. Though I will be happy to have another version of Elizabeth. EKnight
  19. I know not all people's screens are the same size. mine currently has the SMF quartermaster half shown, Steve is almost directly in the middle of my screen, so that's good. It's currently looking very empty to Steve's right. I agree the 10210 Imperial Flagship needs to be back up there. And a classic monkey! EKnight
  20. I did see this MOC by a member on here, disney-sail-43212_vidiyo-captain-43114 by Mini_Wizardy, on Flickr EKnight
  21. I shall be another who is only interested in the useful pirate pieces that may come forth. EKnight
  22. Ah, I misunderstood what I read then. Excellent.
