    Thank you for the LDraw number . I have gone through all the torso's multiple times, but it must have been hiding for me . The model will probably load but the string in the bell tower created an error list longer than my screen, so I couldn't get rid of it....

    I'm also building this model, but I can't seem to find the right torso's for the firefighters. I believe they are your own creation, or am I missing something? Can't open the actual file because bricksmith can't cope with some unavailable parts (the torso's included, I guess)

    I get this error also occasionally, this is due some export error in ldview. If you compare the line with the line above you can spot the error quickly. "4ri100" needs to be "4rin100" C3POwen has addressed this in another thread.

    21021 Marina Bay Sands - Architecture Download: link Errors: Tile 1x8 with text "Marina Bay Sands" not yet available. And there is some collision between the dark bluish gray 1x1 plates on the base and the structure. It is meant to keep the building in place, but it must be a very tight fit in the real set. Better render is forthcoming, transparent plates take some time..... Edit: Replaced render. Also the two tiles 2x2 round on top of the building should be rotated 45 degrees. Current part does not allow this. This should be a new part which is not yet authorised on the unofficial parts tracker. I will update the .ldr file as it becomes available along with the name tile.

    It is possible to run LDD on a chromebook but, (my source is google btw) you need some knowledge. You can either run LDD on a remote windows PC and access it from your chrome book, or you install WINE and run LDD. You need an intel chrome book to install WINE as it will not run on an ARM based machine. Installing WINE needs some specific tinkering but again, google is your friend (in this case anyway ).     Thank you. Yes, i am taking a break from classic space and I am doing the modulars next. With a bit of luck I'll be finished with the old/current ones when the Parisian Restaurant becomes available.

    Is this a trick question? Yes, I believe so. Not a sticker in sight and all the old parts are available in LDraw. So they should be perfect.

    Up and running! Macbook pro with bootcamp and win7. Finally an "easy" way to build some complex technic models, although my "I don't need a manual" approach to the application wasn't very successful. But I'll figure it out eventually!

    Maybe a bit off topic, Brickset is very useful but is a bit unreliable/incomplete in the parts section. I used to look at peeron for this information, but that site appears to be dead since January. Has anyone some information on what happened?

    Has anyone any experience running SR3D on a mac with bootcamp and win7? Graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. My old Win laptop didn't run it because of an incompatible graphics card.

    Thank you, yes the angles have frustrated me to no end. Like I said, I don't think everything fits as it's supposed to fit, but close enough I reckon.

    10234 Sydney Opera House - Creator Expert Download: https://www.dropbox....c5chv/10234.ldr Errors: Due to the fact that Bricksmith has no collision detect and is very tricky with regard to angling parts, I can only guess the correct angles of the shells. Also, as noted in the "Official Lego sets made with LDD" thread, I believe the actual model bends and/or flexes some of the parts. This is impossible in the digital world, so some parts collide.

    Well the short answer is: LDraw has more pieces, but LDD is more current. LDraw is maintained by it's users so when lego releases a new part it can take some time before the piece is added, if it is made at all. Most bricks however are available, but it's short on the minifg side. LDD is maintained by lego, so it's more current but a lot of older pieces are missing. So its up to you what to use.

    Truly beautiful. I felt that the Chinese theatre broke with the "style" ,if you can call it that, of the modulars. It sticks out like a sore thumb, not that it isn't a nice building but it doesn't quite fit in with the rest. This however is how they all should be. Must buy, day one for sure.

    As a matter of fact, I am building this set in LDraw and I'm planning to do several renders when i am done. But that won't be your LDD file. I also noted a small discrepancy in the instructions where a plate disappears and reappears some steps later on, so there could be more.

    It looks like you don't have the LGEO parts library installed, but you do reference it in your povray file. You can either install the LGEO library (see this guide for instructions) or remove the include from your povray file.
