I've put a link to my dropbox with the LGEO library as I have it and the LGEO.XML file (needed for LDView). User C3POwen updates the library on a regular basis so keep checking these boards. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wdkogsikumhjz5l/AADEPUXbTxFFqR305lff6RHja?dl=0 The washed out renders can have a score of reasons. e.g. too many or too bright lights, your fog settings may be off etc. I'd recommend to follow the guide step by step in order to see what the effects are of each action (some may be a bit different because of macpovray, but you'll figure it out). That's how I did it....

Povray for mac here http://megapov.inetart.net/povrayunofficial_mac/ What I found is that you need a lot of work polishing the model after importing the files into blender, but that could have changed. Very good tutorial on rendering with povray here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=65876&st=0 Cheers!

[Help] Lsynth Technic tread
lego2lego replied to Tommy Styrvoky's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
As I don't think you are using brick smith for MAC, you can do the following: Create a mock-up of our undercarriage, one side will do. (You can duplicate your file and delete everything except the dishes, 4x4 round plate and the front gear. You need to know where the treads should run) Place your Lsynth constraints, doesn't matter if they don't line up, just make sure your tread will be where you want them to be. Delete your mock-up and run through Lsynth. Delete the constraints and you should have a model of your treads in the correct shape, you can copy that model in your original file and position it accordingly on both sides. Maybe there is an easier solution, but this is how I used to do it. Alternatively you could do it without creating a mock-up and do it all in your original file, but that's your own preference. 21301 Birds - LEGO Ideas Download Errors: printed tiles not official, neither is part 14704 (plate 1x2 ball cup/friction middle) I had them done, but noticed an error after rendering, so I had to correct and re-render. Then I noticed your post and had to add the tiles 2x4 and do some partial re-renders...... you beat me to it!

How do you align oars in Bricksmith?
lego2lego replied to jodawill's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
In this case, trial and error. You will have to keep adjusting de position of the hands, arms and legs until it aligns. You are using the minifig generator I hope, because that will make it a bit easier, but just a bit. -

Let's revolutionize mosaic software!
lego2lego replied to Lasse D's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Doesn't seem to work on OSX Yosemite, with newest version of java installed. It starts and crashes immediately. -
The ones in the technicopedia are available on that site, but Blakbird is a little behind so only models up until 1996 are available. But all models have been made so sometime in the future they will all be available. And in the digital designer forums a lot of non-technic LDD and Draw models can be found

Technicopedia

I would be happy to help out with ldraw models. I don't work very fast, due to a lack of free time, but if you can tell me which models you are still missing I can start working on them. I've contributed a few in the ldraw thread, but most were duplicates or already on technicopedia. Just let me know. -
POVRay gradient background?

Not true, Pov-ray runs fine on a Mac (I am assuming you have one), the problem is getting a LXF to render with Pov-ray on a Mac. As far as I know there isn't really a way to do so. The solution would be to not use LDD but Ldraw, but if you are looking for specific minifigs that could be problematic because the one area that Ldraw falls short is the amount of minifig decorations. So you're initial solution of asking help on these forums is the best one. Cheers

I took the liberty to create a render from your CAD file. Use it if you like! Download -
