  1. Thanks, I got the idea because they're the same colour as the Gundabad Orcs. But they're superb figures all on their own.
  2. @Lord Butters, thanks! And the half-orcs, they're from the Lone Ranger theme, Tonto and Red Knee. In the Commanche Camp. Great figs!
  3. Thanks guys! @kabel, it's there, in a barrel on the top of the tower!
  4. Great figs! Nice build for a first try!
  5. Cheers guys! @kabel, yeah I'm pleased with myself- GoH is really great for inspiration. It's really made me start to push myself, and take more pride in my creations!
  6. Great scene, love the last photo!
  7. Just discovered this topic. Oops. Geography Apprentice from ZCerberus during his title giving spree, for explaining I sort of teach Geography. kabel is apparently my Master.
  8. I think the tile is actually wedged in the slope brick, between the cylinders and the edge of the brick, rather than between the brick and the arched window. It would have better staying power like that.
  9. All along the base of the Rakath Mountains, near the passes, stand ancient towers that used to collect tolls from travellers entering Nocturnus. Many have fallen into disrepair in recent times. Lord Vladivus has sent General Fenrir Bloodcloak to start restoring the towers to aid in protecting the rest of Nocturnus from the Black Spire. Allied with half-orc nomads from the plains, the mission is proceeding swiftly. The tower. A captured Shraliek, suspended in a cage above a dangerous flesh eating plant. General Fenrir's half-orc allies. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................ My entry to Category B. The half-orc allies would've been my tribe for the Category C build if I'd had time! C+C welcome! Edit: Credit to Legonardo and kabel for the Shraliek design.
  10. The siege had been tough. The Black Spire had seemed to have uncounted warriors. But the Legions of Shadowmere, augmented by the enemies fallen, risen again in a parody of life, had managed to hold, and only the outer walls had been breached; admittedly for the first time since Shadowmere was built. All the more reason to acknowledge the threat the Black Spire poses to Historica. Some of Lord Vladivus' Moruth Rangers had cornered a Varylioan General fleeing through a ruined section of Shadowmere's walls. Vladivus, along with Krell the Necromancer, and some of the Shadowmere Guard have arrived to "interrogate" the general. Vladivus: "So, it is you then Juan-Pedro. I had hoped that it wasn't. What has Ravaage paid you to lead this assault? You know I treasure not gold and other gems, nor are you likely to find fair maidens within these walls." Juan-Pedro: "V-v-v-Vladivus, I promise, I had no choice." Vladivus: "I care not." He turned to the Moruth Rangers: "Kill him. Leave enough for Krell." Juan-Pedro: "No! Please, Vla..... Ungghhhhh" An arrow flew and pierced his skull. Juan-Pedro fell to the floor with a thud. Vladivus: "Krell, take his body, and find out everything you can." ............................................................................................................................................... An overview, without figs. My entry for Category A. C+C welcome.
  11. Ah, so the Falcon returns eh? If he proves to be a problem, I gladly offer my expertise in the dead, undead, and returning to life. OOC great figs, I love Sinbad!
  12. Didn't she fly it (pretty badly) in one of the films? The third one I think.
  13. Great detailing on the walls, I like the curved one as well!
  14. Nice! Great to see you trying different techniques!
  15. Great build! I love that vulture. I like how you've done the Shraliek woman too.
  16. That's a brilliant use of the Malgus armour!
  17. Sneaky. I always had you pegged as a real Nocturnian. Anything to save your own skin! Ha. ;)
  18. Great build, I love the colour scheme! I reckon he's playing it safe and seeing who wins the war. ;)
  19. Plus there is the Doctorate of Historica that's run by the Kali's. But that's something that kinda runs alongside everything else.
  20. I agree about the limited parts- there's a skill in using parts in innovative ways when you don't have the exact part you need. I'm also a big fan of small builds- I find it hard to pick out details in larger builds, as they tend to get lost, whereas with smaller ones I can pick out the details and admire it, without trying to work out where to look next. Not that big builds are a bad thing, but they're something I prefer to see in real life.
  21. That's only the Drow challenge. Below that on the first page is some others- show your army/lord/county etc, which are ongoing and have no deadline.
  22. I like the detailing on the wall, I hope he holds out if there are enemies incoming!
  23. That's the best summarising I've seen in a while. Spot on. Except, the Hand of Corruption is now part of the Black Spire?
  24. 143 of assorted colours. Most of them came in a bulk lot of bricks from eBay.
