  1. We received a number of those helmets in a big box of semi-used parts from LEGO last spring, but I made it abundantly clear to our LUG members that the parts may not be sold.
  2. The MOC immediately reminded me of a school, so that's what I'd go for.
  3. Baseplates are probably manufactured in all five countries, but AFAIK, all sets are still packaged in Denmark. So they probably wanted to avoid changing the printing for every new batch depending on the country from which it came. Plus, this way, they don't have to store the BPs from different countries separately in the warehouse.
  4. I'd love to see this MOC in person, hopefully it'll be shown at more than one event and I'll be able to come. I love the composition, the details, landscaping... it's fantastic.
  5. I'm leaving for Denmark via Malmö in a couple of days. I will spend 1 day in Malmö, 4 days in Copenhagen, 1 day in Billund, and 2 days at the LEGO Fan Weekend. I was hoping to score some exclusives and/or larger sets at decent prices (LEGO is incredibly expensive in Serbia). Imagine my surprise when I finally checked the Danish Shop@Home today and found out that everything is 20-30% more expensive than normal European prices! I am now majorly depressed, as the LEGO shopping experience was one of the major reasons why I decided to go to the Fan Weekend in the first place. I know there is a decent PaB in Billund, but, again, it seems that it's not as good as the ones in Germany. I'll certainly spend some money there, but PaB was not going to be my primary focus - with the relatively recent arrival of LUGBULK I now have so many unsorted bricks that I'm not sure I can handle more. Can anyone recommend any shops in Malmö or Copenhagen that carry LEGO and perhaps offer it at a discount? I am looking in particular for the LOTR sets, Kingdoms Joust, modular buildings, and the Vampire Castle or Haunted House. Also, are there any good and cheap BL stores in Copenhagen that will allow me to pick up the order in person and pay for it?
  6. Here are my guesses: 1. Evil wizard 2. Santa's helper (female) 3. Shark suit guy 4. Persian immortal warrior 5. Graffiti artist 6. Canadian Mountie 7. Basketball player 8. Demolitions expert 9. Snake oil salesman 10. Kite-flying kid 11. Cyborg 12. Saxophone player (female) 13. Baroque-era aristocrat (female) 14. Redcoat 15. Orchestra conductor 16. Judge
  7. The next modular will likely be a corner building: Cafe Corner (corner) - Green Grocer - Fire Brigade - Grand Emporium (corner) - Pet Shop - Town Hall - X (corner) I would love to see a corner bank or post office. Not sure if a corner cinema would work, I's sort of prefer it to be a normal modular so that it could have two large auditoriums.
  8. 33. CarsonBrick - 3 points 27. Myko - 2 points
  9. I still think that 4021 from 20 years ago looks better and has better playability than this one...
  10. Looks like it. Is that a new head on the left minifig? The plane looks... off. Proportions are weird.

Supposedly, the new sets are available at a local toy store in Sarajevo, Bosnia. I am mildly skeptical, but we're supposed to get prices tomorrow. We'll see.
  12. Denmark doesn't have an official Lego store? Wha...? Really?
  13. Placement of the bar code on the bag is very odd, because there is no way to scan the bar code without moving the small flap aside, and that's really impractical if the code's purpose is tracking.
  14. Minifigs are selling like hotcakes here in Serbia. They are priced at 280-300 dinars (roughly 2.8-3 EUR) and three out of four stores in Belgrade that had them sold out in less than a week after receiving them. Granted, I think each store just had 2-3 boxes, but still... I bought the cheerleader, astronaut, magician, clown, ninja, nurse, forestman, and skater, and I think they're all great! EDIT: Any info on series 3, by the way?
  15. The fact that it's for kids doesn't mean it should have bad graphics or horrible user interface. I'm not asking for complexity, really. Did you build a rocket? You need to build a rocket and then put it into a launch pad. Then you get to Nimbus where you get to do a lot of pointless hack and slash.
  16. So, I played Universe for about 10 minutes. I hated it. It's a platform game with horrible graphics and very poor controls. I know it's a beta, and I'll give it another try, but the fact that I wasn't the least bit bothered when I saw the "Connection to server lost" (which boots you out of the game) should tell you something. Character customization is limited to minifig appearance only. There are no RPG stats or anything (that I could see).
  17. With just a few months until release, do we know for sure whether minifig parts are randomized or not?
  18. The head is white, so I'm pretty sure it's a mime (wearing makeup). A burglar would have a normal yellow head.
  19. Looks great! What's more, it doesn't look too difficult to build - unlike many MOCs, I might even attempt to build this myself.
  20. Just bought the set today, built it... and I'm not sure what's wrong. Whenever I operate the winch to raise or lower the boom, the crane construction starts to fall apart, starting with the black slopes that form the top-most part of the mechanism. I can get it to work if I'm really careful, but I can't believe Lego would screw up the playability so badly.
  21. Way, way, WAY too big. Just like the Coast Guard truck which I sold a week after purchase. Cool build, but belongs in Model Team, not City.
  22. w00t! I won!
  23. Peeron says: 121 Sets (116 unique), 22,251 Parts, $2,076.14, 288 Minifigs. A lot less than my D&D miniatures collection (of more than 2500+ miniatures) and probably about the same as my Transformers collection (180 Transformers).
  24. This was already debunked as false.
  25. That accordion joint is ingenious!
