Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
MKJoshA replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
I've found that if you message a bricklink store owner and ask them for specific shipping quotes (say, shipping for 100 bricks and 10 minifigures), they are generally quick to respond with an exact amount. -
Dawn of Ages: Chapter 2, Part 3 The Ridge

Very moving story. Nicely done. -
Nice to see a freebuild in the midst of all the contest entries. I love everything about the build! Your base is so tall. Do you just use an obscene amount of bricks to make it work or is there another secret?

I really like how you've converted Aragorn's torso into a yellow compatible one by using the dwarf beard. Very nice. @gedren_y Can you explain what the difference is between a "guild" entry and other posts?

A story and more pictures would really help. You've got some time left still to add those. I really like your SNOT snow-wall. It's really well done.

I don't have words for how amazing this is. Everything is absolutely amazing. Everything. I like the use of multiple Gandolf torsos. Everything else I like has already been mentioned, so great job!- 18 replies

The details on this build are amazing! I always knew you Empire groupies were soft at heart. Can't say we'll treat you the same way though. And I guess I'm going to have to play Shadows of the Empire...

[SONE Ep.III] Well, this is fun isn't it....

I really like your cyborg-Wampa! Great idea and execution of it. I think your pictures are a little grainy though, maybe try a lower ISO setting? -
[SoNE Ep. III] Snowball fight in sector E
MKJoshA replied to MstrOfPppts's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Amazing as usual. I would like to guess that Palpatine is Santa since he has the eyes and red lightsaber. However, if I'm right, I would like to know why he's on Hoth? I really like the trans-blue cheese slopes in the cave. That's a very nice touch. One thing I would change is some of the lighting of the photos. It seems like you might have too much direct light in some of the pictures.- 13 replies

It's funny that people are seeing it that way since I actually finished the front half and then struggled with a good way to make the back half look good. I actually wasn't very pleased with the back half and all its cheese slopes. Though I am glad that everyone else is

[SoNE free build] "Tracking a smuggler"
MKJoshA replied to Nom Carver's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Ah. That must be from that one game that I didn't play that was popular at the same time as Rogue Squadron 64 was. -
Oh. My. Goodness! I love the inclusion of all the different Eurobrick members. Your snow technique is flawless and inspiring. I actually like what story you've included, so that's my 2 cents worth on that. And yeah, this build is definitely a winner.

Wow! This is a great first attempt at a round tower! The door area needs a little work, but that's a normal challenge with round towers. The whole build is simple, but works well. Your pictures are improving also, but they still need some work.

[SoNE free build] "Tracking a smuggler"
MKJoshA replied to Nom Carver's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
I like the ship and you've done a good job with your story and pictures. However, I think it would be beneficial if you explained how this ship is not the Falcon and your smuggler is not Han Solo since at first glance both look very similar. -
Nice! This ship is really good. The color scheme works well and I really like the greebling!

Thanks! Only the interior of the cockpit is detailed. The interior of the other half is useable for storage, but doesn't have anything interesting inside except exposed studs. Well thank you. This has got to be one of the best comments I've had from you yet . I agree with you about the cockpit hatch. If I had enough of the new reverse tiles I would have used those, but I only have 2 right now. I tried using the front side of the plate so I could add tiles, but the mechanics of the hatch didn't work when I tried that. And it was really important to me that the hatch was usable. Thanks, I think...

Good to have you on our team! My favorite parts are the "frozen" protical droid and the sinking crates. Overall this is an amazing build!
