  1. No. It's a spoof. dvogon just wanted to hijack my review of a real set.
  2. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad "And I say he's guilty!" responded the lawyer defending Corrington. Judge, I object. My client has done nothing wrong as his actions have been sanctioned by Corrington's Commander-in-Chief. You see, I have here a notarized statement saying as such: And where did you get such a document? From your notary of course. Ah, I see. Objection sustained. But... but... attacking our ships is just wrong! Um, well, that's true too. Defendant, how do you respond? To be continued...
  3. First, let me say that this entire response is out-of-character. Let me also add that my comments are not directed specifically at you Ayrlego, though I hope they answer your concerns. I joined BoBS because I like to write stories and build Lego to go with it. My main purpose of this build was to write a story set in the BoBS universe. I never intended to say that there was an actual court session going on in King's Harbor. And if we have mechanics dictating what days of the year there are actual court sessions in BoBS, then this game is even more complex than I thought (and it's already complex). And Sinbad is a wanted man in Corrington if @Bregir speaks for you, and if we are keeping things of an in-character perspective: Two are my ships, two are faction ships (and as faction leader I am held responsible for their actions) and 1 is from another Sea Rat. So 4/5 ships were denounced by Bregir as being enemies of Corrington. You can believe that my intent is not to put words into Corrington's mouth. Through my builds I'm trying to have a fun interaction with the events that are happening and I will end them in such a way that everyone's "honor" is still intact. It has never been the Sea Rats' intention to single out Corrington. We aren't trying to start a war with you. But neither will we stop pursing one of our only sources of income just because Bregir demands it. Seriously, if Corrington wants to single us out we don't mind. That's just part of the game. I've just been trying to add some story background into how a Sea Rat character would react. We don't want to go all "Flint-at-the-beginning-of-season-3" on you so I've come up with a Sea Rat based story to show a different kind of reaction. Please take my builds regarding this "trial" as such. Oh, and Part 2 is up.
  4. During week 2 the Rebels earned 2 movement points. They used those this past week (week 3). The build they used them with only earned 1 movement point which means the Rebels only get to move 1 space this week (week 4). The Empire earned 2 movements this last time (week 3) which means they get to move 2 during the build submitted this week (week 4). I hope that helps!
  5. Sorry for the delay everyone, I had a chance to go watch Episode 8 today so that trumped getting scores and the updated map out on time Here's the map. Both teams are on a Forest square. The Empire has some water on the edge of theirs. And you'll notice a new color bonus star. Let's just say you'll really want the ones that match your team
  6. You can talk about set accuracy in Spoiler Tags, yes. But as Stash pointed out, it might be better to talk about them in the 2018 thread since half the sets are 2018 sets. You can read the first post if you have questions about our policy here. Or you can look back at previous comments. But the short story is if you don't want the movie spoiled, don't read this or the 2018 thread.
  7. Week 3 ended 4 hours ago. Scores will be up tomorrow. I'll try to update the map later today or early tomorrow.
  8. I know the time is different than the usual midnight, but technically the deadline was 1 hour before you posted this. The deadline is noon, Central Standard Time (Chicago time) on Sundays. You're close enough to it that we'll let it pass this time, just everyone please be aware of the official deadline.
  9. Please be considerate of those who haven't seen the movie yet. Spoilers aren't banned, but we do ask you to be kind and wait till after Christmas before openly talking about them here. If you must chat about the movie, you shouldn't be doing it here anyway, use this forum.
  10. You can start talking here. Or you can wait till Christmas to discuss here.
  11. Soon! @LucasLaughing @goatman461
  12. Just post in the main thread which team you'd like to join (the Empire has a lot of players right now, so we'd encourage you to join the Rebels to help even things out). After that, look at some of the previous examples of people's posts to see how to format and title things. The main thread will also help direct you to the rules. After you join we'll get you added the PM threads for each team so you can join in the planning for this contest.
  13. Welcome! Would you like to sign up as a Stormtrooper or a Pilot?
  14. Yep, dark green base! And the wig is in tan, it came on one of the Nexoknight bots.
  15. From here on out, since some people are going to be able to see the movie sooner than others, view this thread at your own risk. We ask that people be considerate and wait at least a week before openly talking about the sets and how they compare to the movie. And your comments better be related to the Lego sets, you shouldn't be given movie reviews here at all! In the meantime please use spoilers. However, if you come here complaining that the movie was ruined for you because of something you read on Eurobricks; that's your own fault. If you want the movie to stay a surprise, stay away from this thread!
  16. Game updates! The Empire is on a Grass square that has the bank of a body of water as well as a river. You can include all or only 1 of those if you wish. The Rebels are back on a Forest square. And both teams have a bonus in sight! Just remember, water is a barrier unless you find a way to overcome it later in the game.
  17. Wow. A sovereign nation recognizes our right to avoid their taxes. This is amazing! In other news, here's the beginning of a response from Sinbad.
  18. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market Stop him! Court was in session in King's Harbor. The honorable judge Wilkinsen was presiding over a case involving a smuggler when a commotion broke out. Please sirs, you're interrupting a court of law! Mind your manners! Your honor, I'm trying to submit myself to the court, but these ruffians wouldn't allow me in! And rightfully so! Order must be upheld! Court proceedings cannot be interrupted just to meet the needs of one individual! But since all decorum has already been forgotten, pray tell why you wish to see me? I am Sinbad the Pirate, and I've heard that I am a wanted man in Corrington. It's true sir! He is guilty of the most heinous of crimes against the crown! If this is true, then let me stand trial. I have nothing to hide. A pirate you may be, but we believe in upholding law and order here in Corrington, so you will be tried by a jury of your peers. Hear ye, hear ye! Court is now in session! Pirate Sinbad, you are charged with attacking Corrington vessels while being unprovoked and without cause. How do you plead? If I may sir, I'd like my lawyer to answer that. Sinbad had rescued 3 men from the gallows. One of those men was Hamilton, a skilled lawyer who had acquitted all his cases to-date. He had been found sleeping with another man's wife in Oleon which had given him a death sentence. But Sinbad knew he would need a specially talented man if he ever went to court so he rescued him. I will be defending this honest man. And my client is not guilty, as I will here prove. And so the trial began. To be continued...
  19. When I do a search for Lego Minifigure Series, this is what shows up. That's why I was wondering if the DPCI might be different. But I can't find Batman anywhere on this list.
  20. Has anyone found these in the wild yet? Any word on the Target DPCI?
  21. Did we say that? Our response was more of "Sea Rats will be Sea Rats."
  22. We haven't talked about it, but it's certainly open for discussion! Would that help sway you over to the dark side?
  23. Prologue build is up.
  24. Yes, the only reason we haven't closed the Empire to new players is because we are almost done with 1.0 anyway. And we have a different plan for how to structure teams in 2.0
