  1. But this isn't real life. This is a game played with a child's toy. Is there no room for Sea Rat stories in BoBS?
  2. Please know that my builds have been meant as a humorous way to respond to what's happening in the BoBS world. I've never meant to insult Corrington, I just wanted to display how a Sea Rat character might respond. I openly admit that my faction and myself have attacked other nation's ships. This is allowed and even encouraged in the BoBS game. Corrington is just as allowed to retaliate by attacking Sea Rat ships. If you haven't been doing that before now then "thanks," I guess? From the beginning of the game I assumed all factions would choose to attack a Sea Rat ship if they met one during a MCRA (unless someone had a private agreement such as what is between Mesabi and Kwatchi). In Character and Out of Character gets so confusing. I'm sorry if there has been undue problems because of that confusion. Out of Character I find it humorous that Corrington wants to huff and puff against the Sea Rats for being pirates. In Character I'm just trying to show how my Sea Rat character could respond in a Sea Rat-ish way.
  3. Yes, I checked Corrington along with the other nations. If I don't check anyone, how do you expect us to make a profit? Sea Rats as pirates are a functioning part of BoBS. If the game wasn't designed to allow Sea Rats to play the pirates, we would just have 3 factions and allow NPCs to be the pirates. Corrington's complaints are that the Sea Rats are playing their designed part of the game. If you don't like that, don't play the game.
  4. I would like the past and future up-keep of this fort to be moved to Bastion.
  5. The Sea Rats and I do not want war with Corrington either.
  6. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 The Trial of Sinbad part 4 As I have proven, my client has done nothing wrong. Objection your honor! If you object, please tell me what wrongs you still charge this man with? He attacked Corrington vessels! A fact that is not denied, but has also already been proven to be allowed and sanctioned and can therefore not be a wrongdoing. But he sank our ships! An unfortunate result, I can assure you. My client would much rather have captured them. But this has also been shown to be an act of my client performing more adequately on the seas than your Corrington captains. Just because he is better at his job you would want to declare war on an entire people group? Nay sir, this also cannot be proven to be a wrongdoing. But his actions caused the deaths of Corrington men and the financial ruin of others! And Corrington's taxes have caused poverty to many who could not afford them. And Corrington has also had vessel sink under their guns. Nay sir, as I've already proved, if my client is to be judged on his character qualities you must look at the sum of them, not just his most recent naval excursions. Well, I think the jury has heard all they need to make a decision. We'll allow them to be dismissed to consult with each other. ... Your honor, we've reached a unanimous decision. We find the accused Sinbad to be not guilty of acts against Corrington. Very well, Sinbad you are free to go. Court dismissed! You can't do that! I believe he just did. Good day sir. ... A short while later... And here's some cash for you. And some cash for you. Well that does it for the Jury. Well done Hamilton. I never doubted your lawyering skills or your bribing skills. It's the least I could do as a thank you for saving my life. Where are you off to next? In spite of having "won" this case, my spies tell me Corrington is still outraged at my actions. I intend to try to lay low. "Intend"? Well, Sea Rats will be Sea Rats. I'm not trying to attack Corrington ships, but I also can't stop sailing. It's my livelihood. The End
  7. How is it that a settlement can't afford the upkeep of their own fort? Bastion is a Town but only gets 70 DBs a month. A Small Fort is running anywhere from 73 to 607 DBs.
  8. Excellent! We'll get you added to the database and the Private Message for the Rebels.
  9. I went to my local Lego store on Jan 1st to buy a box of Series 2. I was told I could only buy 40 packets, not a whole box. Bought the left and middle columns of the box. Turns out each section didn't have a complete set. I ended up with 1 full set, 1 extra Strange and Zan, and missing a FaF Alfred and a Jan. The first figure in the left column was Strange and the first two in the middle column were Strange. Anyone else find the same order?
  10. You need to use an external photo hosting site like flickr. Then post the url here and it'll add the picture to your post.
  11. Yes, post both builds during the week. The tricky part is movement. We'll play it by ear a little, but for now plan on having only the first entry specify movement. Both entries will earn movement, but it'll be added together each week into 1 lump sum.
  12. Here's my version of the Master Code Breaker:
  13. Update! Both Teams collected a bonus that now allows 2 entries per week instead of just 1. The rule that any 1 person cannot post 2 weeks in a row is still in effect. The Empire is on a Plains square, the Rebels are on a Forest square with a little bit of shore.
  14. Guys, please keep the conversation about the sets, not about Lego's store policies.
  15. Update! The Rebels have collected the bonus on R3. I'm also adding some clarification to the rules so go check it out! The Rebels are still on a Forest Square and the Empire is on a Square with Forest, Shoreline, and a body of Water.
  16. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 You claim my client is "not nice." You're twisting my words! I'm saying your client is guilty of acting evilly. Gentlemen of the court, you may not realize this, but one of the causalities when the HMS Mardier's Misfit sank had a widow who lives in this very city. A Corrington officer brought her the bad news. She was greatly distraught and now had no way to provide for herself and her household. The Corrington officer could do nothing more than offer his condolences. But when Sinbad heard about her plight. He brought her enough money to live on for at least the next year. Now you tell me, does this sound like the actions of a man bent on evil? To be continued...
  17. Whoops Too much copy-and-paste. Fixed now!
  18. Movement: We'd like to move up 1, to R3. "Hey boys, look what we have here!" shouted one of the Rebel troopers. "Looks like this Scout Trooper needs to go back to the academy!" "Should we cut him down?" "Nah! Let's leave him to whatever creature set up this trap."
  19. For those who need it, you can find the ship locations here.
  20. I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, to be able to claim each build that's part of the story, I have to submit them all as separate topics.
  21. Part 3 is up!
  22. Part 3 is up!
  23. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 You say it is wrong for my client to attack your ships. Let me give you another scenario. Imagine with me, a scene down by the docks. One man, a good business man, owns a warehouse. But a better business man buys him out. Now, is this better business man wrong for being better? Of course not! He's just proven himself superior in his trade. Can we please got on with this? Of course, but just as if nothing would happen if the less shrewd warehouse owner had put up a fuss about being bought out, so to should nothing happen to my client. As already proven, his actions were sanctioned by Corrington's Vice Admiral himself. Just because you don't like that my client practiced his superior skills against Corrington's ships is inconsequential. Um, hmm, that makes sense but it still doesn't seem right. Or course it's not right! No matter what he says, it's not nice to sink other people's ships! So it comes down to moral character does it? Let me give you another example... To be continued...
  24. We'll have plenty of weeks for everyone to build. If one or both teams can't build because of Christmas, that's not the end of the world.
  25. Anarchy, chaos, and pandemonium come to mind But seriously, I'm trying to depict just one courtroom, not the whole Corrington legal system. You're telling me that there isn't 1 crocked judge in all of Corrington? And that there is only 1 courtroom in all of King's Harbor?
