  1. Thank you! Thanks! Yes have been interested in castle designs and architecture for a while and wanted to eventually make a castle in LEGO. I tried to include different structures style throughout it so each tower and area would be different and so on. Glad you like the minifigure choices.
  2. After finishing it and creating minifigures I uploaded it to LEGO Ideas which you can find here: Four-Towered Castle It contains some extra information such as piece counts. Feel free to leave a support on the LEGO Ideas site if you like it. 3D Model view here on Sketchfab: Four-Towered Castle The Full Inside view. Note that the castle is made in a "L" shaped layout. The left/West Entrance. Notice the flaps that would allow archers/crossbowmen to fire through and take cover. The inside side of the West entrance. Entrance to the hall from the courtyard/bailey. The alchemy room. With a green substance in a flask and a chandelier below the tall ceiling. The certainly need a ladder here. A tower with a wooden hoarding around it. Crossbows are stored here. The armoury. Along with the stacked sword it has a bed for a soldier here as well. View above the towers. Better view of the catapult and the winch for raising the portcullis. Inside the shack extension. The Great Hall. Turnable fire in the great hall's fireplace. Winch which you can rotate the fire and exterior of the hall. Drawbridge Outside. Gate Inside. Chest room. Stone Sigil. Walkway. Romans with a catapult & Celtic Warriors. Upper view.
  3. Smaug from 79018: The Lonely Mountain The Wings and tail would be very useful.
  4. That is good to know! Had a the same sort of problem once with the groups.
  5. Nice! Epic now we have both MECA bricks and LDD to Sketchfab digitising programs. I think these sort of things will eventually open up the way to high quality 3D fan LEGO animations and obviously easier/higher quality LEGO Ideas submissions. Are you also planning to add smudge/fingerprint or sun marks as either free/pro though I guess it could be a bit tricky to assign it correctly without overdoing it since I'm guessing the materials are shared between same colour bricks. Any way nice work! Interested to see what people make with it.
  6. Can't seem to place chunks properly though on this I go over a plate but it stays in the middle and it still lags excessively not sure if less or like before though. Need the file to remain as one to use with BrickFab. Have a lot of big plates as well. Through a lot of them have coverings but it's a good idea to remove them all and maybe try to fit them in at the end. They have a lot of polygons on them because of the studs and the curved corners. Using only Nvidia 980 + 8 gb ram i7
  7. +1 to this. Also they won't allow decorations on the arms or legs of these parts and trying to render them in other programs will give off a glitchy look. Might work better in ldd if they would be made of 4 separate meshes for the legs so the colours would not glitch out anymore and allow for decorations although of course they would act as one part when you move it around or swivel the joints and on the part count.
  8. Ok I found out that some LDD decorations don't work with BrickyFab such as the decorations on 98138 (eye decorations) which give the error. If I remove the decorations within LDD it lets me upload the file (but of course it makes the model weird without having the decorations). What do you think is causing it do you think it might be resolutions, size, file type or something of how LDD handles the brick/decoration? I'm guessing LDD might have different types of image files Full error message: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unknown image type 0 at java.awt.image.BufferedImage.<init>(Unknown Source) at blueprint.brickyfab.a.a(Unknown Source) at blueprint.brickyfab.a.a(Unknown Source) at blueprint.brickyfab.BrickyFab.a(Unknown Source) at blueprint.brickyfab.BrickyFab.b(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Edit. Also do you think Showing optional LEGO Logos on the studs is easily possible? Probably via bump-mapping or normal mapping. Some other ideas: Available HQ bricks used to upload to Sketchfab (if not already) Normal/bump maps such as on slope bricks Optional Dust/smudge textures randomly over bricks Optional curved display baseplate with editable rotation co-ordinates(default white, place under lowest brick so you can take good screenshots)
  9. Trying to make castle black from the show Game of Thrones starting lagging massively at 9000 bricks now I'am at 20709 bricks is there any further way to cut down the lag and maybe hide bricks but not make them loaded until necessary or to only load bricks currently seen within the viewport? Even copying parts and importing them is stressful the collision calculations bog everything down. Have a decent PC but it's almost impossible moving big chunks around. Set all the graphics to low. Is there anything that can be tweaked to tone down the collisions? Maybe some feature of the developer mode can help with this.
  10. Ty, The error appeared when directly uploading the normal file with just LDD decals not sure if some of them might be jpeg in the files made they are usually png. Maybe I should send over the LDD file so you can check it out if it crashes for you.
  11. Yep custom ones. Think I need to replace them in the file or edit it in something like 3Ds Max/Blender then re-upload for the main one I was thinking of uploading. Found a old Endor Mini LDD though which I just tested now: https://sketchfab.com/models/5a63359fbf4c46c494b66e7e804a1cd7 Edit: Another test Maleficent Dragon guarding the Castle: https://sketchfab.com/models/752e3a8ff2014e5c9e111099df6731c2 Edit 2: First Test with Custom Textures: (replacing names in the file downloaded from Sketchfab) https://sketchfab.com/models/1f13819b1dbd46238c00f2197ad9fc8d Edit 3: I'm getting a error on two of my models: Might be due to a part or decal that does not work not sure. http://imgur.com/Ij8V18u
  12. Just another way to say cool in slang form ahah. Not published it yet just going to mess around with the decals first. Almost all my LDD stuff has decals so need to change things first haha.
  13. This is Tubular! Could make it easier to render it in other programs as well with this thank you! Will try it out. Edit: This is perfect! If you go into Post Processing Filters and turn on SSAO + Grain, Sharpness it looks even more real. Only thing I recommend is a replace decal feature so you don't have to download it and then re-upload it to change basic decals.
  14. This is a post where you can place your wishlists for a possible line of future sets that are meant to connect to each other such as http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/K4480_Jabba%27s_Palace_Kit An example would be Kamino: Landing Platform with a small Slave 1 Cloning Facility Jango's chambers You can put much more detail that my example if you wish and state what mini figures the sets would come with.
  15. Only one I wish for is a Geonosis Arena. Perhaps as one set with a raised base plate for the walls of multiple like with the Jabba's palace sets where you connect different sections together.
  16. Hmm the arms are tricky when I try to see if there are more ways of doing it it comes out blocky or too/long/short. Will probably have another look at it but the result will probably remain the same. I sticked with the current ones since they were the only ones whcih gave the short shoulders along with pretty good movement. If your talking about the shoulders of-course though similar outcomes with the elbows that made the arms shorter.
  17. Thank you! I don't know if I can squeeze any clones in since they arrive at the very end but I could definitely put in Jango and Mace as they fight vs the Reek and so on plus either Dooku and Poggle. I'll try to add them in maybe with a update to the arena wall design.
  18. My Geonosis Arena model renders. It includes the three arena beasts (Acklay, Reek & Nexu), some geonosians, a droideka an orray along with a section of the arena. Project Links Lego Ideas Link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/164837 (Some more Images & Support page) (Please support it if you like it lets get this to 10 K, If it's not accepted it could make LEGO consider making it a set for the official line) LDD File: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ae2for3qxgigwba/Geonosis_Arena_ThunderousBlade_Lego_Ideas.lxf (Uses non-existent colour bricks) Hope you enjoy it! Was interested in this scene since 2002.
  19. As in for the cover image and the following images of a project. What the best size which includes 100% of the pixels without the upload scaling them in any way. Anybody have a definite answer to it? I tried seeing the image sizes of some other projects but they differ.
  20. This is probably the set which I have on Lego Ideas which has more chance of being made given that it does not have a license and is probably something which people are intrested in while being someting rare which has not been made frequently before. Here is the link to the project: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/114976 I think it would go well with the LEGO Birds Project set.
