[MOC] CCBS Chess, Light vs Dark (LDD Collab Project)
Voxovan replied to TheOneVeyronian's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Those are beautiful. In the truest definition of this word. Fantastic models. -
But we've already seen the scenes from the last episode in Kulta's character video ._.

It's just a theory.

She sounds more feminine in the English version than she does in any other (well, except Korean, because she has an actual female voice actor there), so I don't complain - she sounds better than in the last three eps from the first wave - however, the fact that she has a male voice still kinda irks me, and causes a lot of confusion for the fans. I get what Lego was going for with that decision, but it just doesn't work. I hope we'll get more voice actors in 2016, or maybe even a TV show, but considering how little budget went into this year's and Hero Factory's animations, I doubt this will ever be a thing...

The best and worst designed 2015 Bionicle Skull Villains
Voxovan replied to YellowCorvette's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I also find Warrior the best set of the wave, mainly because of his asymmetry, which makes him pull off the skeletal look the best of all the Skull Villains. The worst is obviously Scorpio. I appreciate the function, but it looks really out of place and - let's be honest - is just a big chunk of technic liftarms stuck onto something that has a completely different asthetic. The un-posable legs don't bug me that much, but still are an issue, and the pincers and the way the head is attached - it all makes this set even worse, and - im my opinion - the worst Bionicle set ever designed. -
Wow, we learned absolutely NOTHING from this episode. It sure was worth waiting the whole week

It depends on the employee, really. I remember when back in 2007 a seller at one of my local toy stores showed me the catalog with 2008 winter sets, and didn't really have anything against it when I asked for it. But then not every seller would want to do that because of all those policies regarding preliminary pictures. So yeah it's possible but not something the employee would do for sure.

Everything is printed.

Where do you guys see dark red bones? ._. They look pretty gray to me. Also, the whole polybag looks fake to me, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That build is magnificent. I want sets like that in new Bionicle
-
It's not my opinion. Those are facts. There are still many great Bionicle fanfics (the last one I've read was finished two or three months ago, the other ones I read are still being written), some of them even take place in the G2 storyline. There is still a lot of people who make MOCs and write fanfics, I guess you've never browsed the Bionicle tag on pages like deviantart or tumblr lol. Heck, even here MOCs are posted quite often. Okay, things are different with the fanfics, they aren't as common, but that's because coming up and writing a good story is a hard work, and a lot of people simply can't do that - not because the universe they want their story to take place in doesn't allow for enough imagination, but because of their lack of skills. Yes, the new Bionicle is aimed towards kids. Because, here comes a surprise: it's a toyline :O No, they didn't show us everything - that's why the new universe isn't "dead-locked". The old universe was dead-locked and had less space for imagination - it's not like I'm saying that it was impossible to make your own stories in it, but the new world is much more open. No element-tied genders. No element-tied colours. Basically, no rules. Yes, Okoto isn't really filled with animals or other, well, stuff - but that's where imagination comes to play, you have to fill in the world with your own ideas. There are no rules which tell you what you can and what you can't do. Unlike in G1 times - you want your Toa character to be male and have Lighting element? Too bad, Toa of Lighting can only be female. You want your Toa to be the member of Order of Mata Nui? Too bad, Toa can't be members of Order of Mata Nui. And so on. I mean, of course, you could screw the rules, but then - why were there any rules in the first place? Because we know so little (yet) about the new world, we don't know the Okoto Islanders customs or what exaclty happened during Toa's quest for Golden Masks, we can fill in those gaps ourselves. We have now more options to create our own Bionicle world, more options to be creative - and that's what Lego is all about. You praise (well, maybe not praise, but you get my point) Hero Factory for leaving more room for imagination - but... we knew even less about its universe than we do about the new Bionicle one, and yet you criticize Bionicle G2 for not leaving room for imagination because its world is not enough "filled in". That... makes no sense.

How would a reboot of RoboRiders look?
Voxovan replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Oh well sorry, I read the quoted post which appears to have "Technic" in it, which the original post doesn't. My bad. As of RoboRiders reboot, I don't know how that would be handled. And I don't think I really would like to see this series' return. It wasn't Lego's best, I'd more likely see Slizer/Throwbots' reboot, but then again, it would be really similar to Bionicle, considering both of those lines consists (mainly) of humanoid figures. -
Actually, on the first list with set names he was called just "LEGO Bionicle Hunter".

Voxovan replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, because Elves, Speed Champions and Ninjago are so Technic. -
Soooooo the book is out. Anyone has it? Is there anything more worth mentioning than what we've seen in the previews?

It's a new shade of green (first appeared in Green Lantern Ultrabuild in 2012). It's slighty brighter than Mata Green, but these two colors are really similar and look near identical next to each other.

Thanks for all the answers! I have just one more question: Does the Toa still have exposed balljoints in their torsos?
