As much as I see the flaws of the old system, I'd also like to see CCBS gone and replaced by a better system. I'm not saying that it is a bad system per se, but it has a lot of flaws that many people don't - or don't want to - see. The thing I loved about the G1 system was not the heavily-mechanical look (which can be considered a flaw, yes, but then again, Lego found a lot of great uses of Bionicle parts outside Bionicle - heck, they used more Bionicle parts outside Bionicle than CCBS parts outside constraction), but the huge amount of attachment points, which for me, as a person who focuses mainly on MOCs with custom builds, is a perfect thing. CCBS is vastly inferior in that aspect, mainly because it uses balljoints, and balljoints are extremely hard to work with, since they're bigger than 1 module but smaller than 2 modules, so for example, you cannot put a balljoints between two pieces in a 1-module gap without stressing out the parts on the sides, not to mention that they don't allow for attaching armor pieces from two sides, which is no doubt the biggest flaw of CCBS that prooves this system isn't "perfect", as many people claim it is. I like the 2016 sets not because of the heavy piston aesthetic (however I love that too, because in my opinion it really makes Bionicle Bionicle and shows that G2 is its own thing, unlike the previous CCBS waves, which all looked the same except for the heads and the name of course), but how the sets revolve around Technic and have more Technic-oriented techniques and parts, which, let's be honest, allow for much better customization than any piece introduced solely for CCBS.

Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion
Voxovan replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I actually remember that there was a listing that stated Finn is a 25$ set. Can't find it now though, unfortunately. -
I have absolutely no problems with posing the set. The swivel has enough friction in it, even if you don't connect all the pieces super tightly, so if the 2016 Toa use a similar connection there's nothing to worry about.

Her cape might be too short for him. Vader's way taller than Phasma and his cape barely does Grievous any justice. -
Same here, it looks like a normal regular gray pin-axle piece for me, so the connection should be fairly secure.

Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion

They're on brickset too btw. I really don't like the fact that those figures (well, some of them) have gear functions. I appreciate the play factor, but they're making these already hardly organic-looking figures even less organic-looking :s -

I'm pretty sure Finn's fists are Avak Brown, same with Rey's shells. -
I'll take anything, but please don't make them talk, Lego :P

I really hope that yellow axles won't replace the grey ones... Lego already replaced the black ones with grey, do we need another change? sheesh...

I don't think the new leg armor fits Bionicle asthetic to be honest, especially consindering that 2016 wave introduced many new pieces with a lot of details, so the smooth shinguards would look really out of place on the new Toa.

I don't really see it, it's clearly trans-purple, maybe with some little rendering error that makes it look like a blend of purple and grey, but I'm pretty sure the sets will have a proper trans-purple blended in those pieces.

Them Old Bands: Rubber Band Replacements for the Turaga
Voxovan replied to xboxtravis7992's topic in LEGO Action Figures
The best option is to replace the old-style rubber bands (with square cross section) with the new ones (with round cross section) which are used by Lego since 2002 I think. The old rubber bands are extremely weak and don't last very long, so I don't think there's any way to prevent them from breaking. -
I find it funny how there were people who were complaining about 2015 because the sets weren't complex enough, and now there are people who complain about the 2016 sets because they're too complex. Can't please everybody, haha. I actually don't mind the more technic-oriented builds and the uneccesary complex limbs - they at least give us more useful pieces, and as a MOCist I can't complain Plus I've always found technic-based builds superior to CCBS, so I'm pleased with these sets. And the asthetic they have is very reminiscent of G1, they're more "Bionicle-like" than anything we've got since the introduction of CCBS to this day, and I absolutely love it. Sure, not not everyone's gonna like it, but that's just matter of opinions. The Mask of Control doesn't bug me, in fact, I don't think it's changed from the earlier pictures we saw - I think it's just the fact that the paper was folded which made the mask look slightly different. Sure, it's not the same as in the animations, but still has that sinister look, which works perfectly for the person who's supposed to be wearing it. As for the sets, I like most of them. The Creatures are kinda meh, but at least provide a lot of useful and new parts (for example Ikir has this piece, but with only one axle). The only set that doesn't seem all that good for me is Pohatu, mainly because of his colorscheme - I'll be definitely swapping those silver shells on his lower legs and the transparent neon green shells on his lower arms to dark orange ones. Overall, I'm very pleased with this wave. Can't wait to see what the summer wave has to offer (especially since this year's summer sets were kinda disappointing in my opinion).

I don't think I can post a link here, since they have the preliminary stamp on them, but they're up on 4chan and tumblr and probably many other places by now.

The activity book's been out for a while now in Poland, and if you're pumped up for it, I must disappoint you - there's nothing exciting in it, no new pictures, no new info, and the comics use screencaps from animations.

But why would you want to connect such a big, chunky torso armour piece to the short bones? It would completely cover the connection points from one side, limiting the poseability or/and possibility to connect other pieces. It would only make sense to connect it to the longer bones, which have pinholes anyway. And in fact, pin connections would make this piece even MORE backwards compatible, since the G1 system was all based around pins and axles, not to mention that you would be able to attach it to basically any Lego piece you'd want, as opposed to the other CCBS shells, which are practically useless without balljoints. I'm all for the new torso armour having pinholes, but I doubt this will ever be a thing. However I don't think the connection method it uses is the main problem here - I think it's the printing, which makes this piece more specific to one character and harder to use in any other model you'd want to have it. But granted, it looks magnificent on the figures it was made for, so at least that's a good thing.

Ahem. Maybe they wanted it to get a little delayed because of the mask contest winner announcement? That, or they just simply forgot to upload it :s
