Discussion: LEGO Bionicle Makuta Contest
Voxovan replied to Toa Palpo's topic in LEGO Action Figures
There are also gold Vorox/Skrall armor pieces on one of his versions. -
Well that kinda proves what I was saying earlier about Makuta in JtO being a placeholder model :P

... Did you see the newest trailer? :L -
I guess it's just a placeholder model made from this wave's sets' pieces.

A new trailer popped up. Darn, got ninja'd.

Big Ekimu revamp (new way to connect torso with gearbox)
Voxovan replied to PrimoUltimo's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Not really worth it, this revamp hardly looks better than the official set. -
The Mask of Ultimate Power kinda looks like Witch Doctor's mask mixed with Breez's helmet lol.
-
I really hope that won't be a thing. Human CCBS figures look awful.
-
It was also the typical generic edgy black monster with wings; there were many entries much more creative than that.

Design flaw with 44022 Evo XL Machine
Voxovan replied to JekPorkchops's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well yeah I had the same problem. Those shells can be adjusted in the way it's shown in the instructions (or the boxart for that matter).- 4 replies

Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion
Voxovan replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
And also in worse quality, no thanks :v Jyn looks passable, but still way too mechanical (I'm curious about her torso shell, though). The Stormtrooper and K-250 seem to have new type of shells, similar to last year's shinguards, used on thighs. Also that black G2 piston add-on -
Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion

Jyn, the droid and the black Stormtrooper just showed up. -
I'm pretty sure he meant previous summer wave, which was just as awful as the current one.

Oh wow it's a great decission from Lego to release a magazine/activity book/whatever with 2015 story and characters now, when we're almost in the half of 2016... We should've gotten this a year ago

Then why are there hints of both generations being connected...? Let me sum up: - the Toa are said to be timeless heroes, coming from another time and space - the Toa don't remember their past after their arrival to Okoto - there is G1 Vahi appearing in literally every episode of 1st season of 2015 animations - there is a Mask of Time in G2 that is said to be the upper half of a mask called Vahi - G1 Vahi clearly looks like the bottom half of a mask - out of all masks from G1, Vahi is the only one which name appears in the reboot, I wonder why, since the other masks are simply called, well, Masks? Saying there is no connection between the two generations FOR SURE is simply ridiculous.

Those aren't the full versions of the episodes.

Mask of Ultimate Power was forged by Makuta long after Ekimu used the Mask of Time, so I don't see how this is possible...
-
The 2nd Graphic Novel basically confirms a connection between G1 and G2, seeing as Ekimu reveals the Mask of Time to the Protectors and says that it is the upper half of a mask called Vahi. Don't know if I'm allowed to post the picture here, but this has also been discussed on TTV Message Boards.

What is that lack you speak about? Because last time I checked, 2016 Onua was still being the most bulky and strong of the group, thanks to his massive shoulderpads and extra-bulked up torso, Lewa and Gali the most agile with their slimmer looks, Tahu the most powerful looking with the massive usage of transparent orange pieces that make him look as he's made of pure elemental energy, etc. etc. The new Toa still have their own distinguishing features that make them unique in one way or another, and the big amount of hyper-detailed pieces they use make them stand out from their previous forms, which sadly can't be sad about older CCBS sets, which looked like the exact same thing with some pieces swapped here and there, due to the repetitiveness of the pieces they were build from.
