Out of the new skull baddies, basher is probably my favorite. Love the new mask and chest plate print, and the colors look great to me. He could be a bit taller, but not a major problem. Look forward to picking this up.

So the idea behind this was to see if I could put a gearbox in an inika torso. So I grabbed my tahu and ackar plus a few extras and put this together. The orange armor on the leg is technically an "illegal connection" because it doesn't quite fit on the pin all the way, but it's close enough for me. Also while built a little different, the other inika chest piece can be used as well. shot of the back: Yeah, I know the legs look pretty bad. Maybe I'll do something later. Plus an action shot just for fun: So I'm thinking of trying it for other g1 sets as well, so any comments or criticisms are welcome.

I think I see why they were scrapped, those things are creepy! Although in a kinda cool way. Really like the mocs seen here. Now if anyone could do that motorized thing with the chains...

Wow. Obi Wan is 1000x better than luke. Really like the look of it. I'm not completely sure about grievous, but it sure looks like a great parts pack if not.

Love it! Kinda reminds of the piraka playground from bionicle heroes, where they just act goofy. Kinda nice to see once in a while like this.

The Contest is definitely interesting, I don't have an account on any of the sites they listed, but if i see something good I might be tempted to make one. and is there a way to view the terms without logging into Facebook? As I don't have one.

agreed 1000%. Skirmix was cool, but I want a pack of bio velociraptors. That could be best thing ever.

Got gali today. Wasn't planning on it, but my target had a bunch for half off, so I couldn't resist. The colors are a little odd, and so are the shoulder pads, but overall very nice. New mask of water is awesome.

I really like the giant head, besides, bionicle has never been known for realistic proportions right? And the protector is neat too. I dig the oversized cape. -
oh dear. Quite the typo I seem to have made. I now have the urge to moc something and name it "master of puppets" I guess I can see your point in the mata, but I think if done right it can look great. Take the glatorian for example, skrall and Gresh in particular. Some nice blades right there. I see your point, but can't say I agree. seeing as 99% of the time a colored mask is on the head. And I agree that Lewa's color scheme is nice, as he has other silver parts. And I guess pohatu gets away with it too seeing as he has a bunch more silver shells. (A few to many IMO) It's just with sets like tahu or ekimu or the silver chest on kopaka that seem out of place to me.

Just to throw in my opinion, I usually don't mind metallic colors, but all the silver hands and feet is kinda redundant. I think tahu would've looked better with black hands and feet, as it matches his skeleton better. And the silver torso on kopaka looks out of place. And pohatu has way to much silver. And I would've liked to see more blue on gali, but it's not a huge thing. I think what we need is the piston add on in a bunch more colors, so we don't have to use either Metallica or white. and one last note, elemental colored weapons were awesome and need to come back.

So I made this guy. What inspired this was actually another moc of mine on Flickr. (You should click the link in my sig) [shameless self plug] where someone commented that the legs were too lanky. And after looking at it again I thought they kinda were, so today I decided to build something that the design fit with. And I ended up with this. I actually ended up liking this better than the other moc, so I decided to post it here to see what y'all think. The torso takes inspiration from the upcoming skull grinder, and the gearbox is pretty much tahus just raised up. I'm unoriginal sometimes, but at least I'm honest. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, what about you? Any feedback is appreciated!

After the last few trolls the Bionicle forum got, I'm not ready to believe this yet. It's only March, so I'm thinking we won't hear anything else for a little while. That being said, a toa sized ekimu does sound pretty good...

anybody else catch that he switched the elements on onua and pohatu? Anyway, this one was kinda meh, but can't wait to see tahu and kopaka go at it next episode! EDIT: I haz been ninja'd once again.

my thoughts are the same, unless you plan to sell it, there's really no reason for it just sitting in a box. (or bag in this case)

I had this when I first got onua, but it loosens up and becomes smoother after some use.

The only two new bionicle sets I've purchased so far. Figures right? But I don't have a VIP account anyway, so no matter. Although I wonder why they chose these two. I hope it's not because they're not selling, because these are some of my favorite designs.
