Jeaux reaches into his briefcase and retrieves a piece of parchment and a quill. He makes a couple of small marks on the paper to denote the party's current location. There was no ink on the end of the quill, but dark marks appear in any case. Almost as if the ink was being fed to the paper from the mechanoid himself. "The lines indicate walls, the arrow indicates our current position." _ ^
  2. "I get the feeling some supernatural force or higher power is telling us we should move on. I'm not one who puts much faith in the idea of gods guiding the destinies of man, but when the wind is blowing, it is often easier to go with it than fight it out." Jeaux followed the party's leader to the next stop on their journey.
  3. Don't antagonize the QM, he might sic an army of undead on us.
  4. "I can stand watch while the three of you rest your eyes. I'll alert you if I see any signs of trouble. Unless you care to head for the Mausoleum now"
  5. "I'm afraid we are not familiar with anyone by that name. Perhaps if you could describe him, we would be better equipped to help you locate him."
  6. "I don't believe you have taken any of the spoils from our recent victories so perhaps you should keep the smelling salts for yourself. As for the venom, I believe it would be most effectively wielded by someone who utilizes a weapon instead of a gemstone, such as Zoltan."
  7. Jeaux looked over the remnants of the battle. The had managed to save this grove and with it, the majority of the cemetery. The party would of course continue on to try and salvage as much of this place as possible, but it was comforting to know that if they should fall later in their quest, the place would still be safe. He promptly thanked the bats who had provided assistance locating the monster and prepared to head back to the haunted trio and the next part of their quest.

OOC: If Em rolled a crit then shouldn't he have done 16 damage. 6x2 + 5 = 17 - 1 = 16 Jeaux could see the spells and arrows flying towards their opponents, turning the air between the two forces into a veritable no-mans land. When there was a slight break in the damage he pulled another arrow from his quiver and charged toward the drummer, closing the distance to make his shot more effective. Jeaux attacks Spike from the front row.
  9. I believe changing weapons is something that can be done on the fly and doesn't burn a turn, unlike artifacts. If I am wrong about that, I'm sure someone here will correct me.
  10. "Eliminating the beasts will not prevent more from joining the fray, as it is the drummer who recruits them. I think it would be wise for both you and Heckz to focus your ice magic on the bats, while the rest of us deal with the drummer. If more bats decide to join the battle we can reanalyze the strategy then." Jeaux pulls an arrow from his quiver, and sights down the shaft at the purple haired musician wannabe. Jeaux attacks Spike from the back row
  11. OOC: The trees are wrong so far we have shaken the top right and bottom right trees. X X X X X X X X X "I think you may be right Heckz. The creature is in either the top left, bottom left, or middle right tree at the moment. If we shake one of those three and don't find him, then he should move to the middle left tree." Jeaux then turned to address the bat who had helped him, "Thank you friend for you help."
  12. Jeaux asks one of the departing bats if they may know in which tree where the creature is lurking.
  13. OOC: It doesn't make a difference now, but for future reference Heckz blind status would not have affected his ice spell as it is not a physical attack. Jeaux began to relax. The battle was done and the three spirits had been banished from this sacred place. There were only 3 more locations for the party to cleanse and this would once again be a pleasant location for both the living and the more pleasant undead. Jeaux could hear the trio of spirits discussing some new matter, but he did not fully understand what they were referring to. He turned to the leader of their party, "Stigveladi, while these constant bursts of magic may have helped us in this recent battle, you should work on getting them under control. Magic is a powerful ally, and a far more powerful enemy, it is best to ensure you can maintain control so it doesn't turn on you. As to the spoils of our latest victory, I would appreciate the briefcase, but the distribution of rewards is entirely in your hands of course. As to our next location, I think now may be a good time to investigate Lover's Grove."
  14. OOC: As it's been 36 hours and LTPro hasn't posted yet, I think PsyKater can choose his action, which I'm guessing will be attack Gus from the front row.
  15. OOC: Gus should be at 6HP. 36 - 8 - 11 - 11 = 6. Jeaux had been improving in his speed. As long as the number of arrows in his quiver held out, this fight would come to a close quickly. He attacked Ivan once again from the back row.
  16. At the moment, I believe the only assassin in the character information thread who used to be a ranger is Alexis. The other 5 (Jess, Hybros, Mizuki, Dyric, and Sorrow) were all rogues to being with.
  17. Looking at the character thread it seems most knights become paladins, most barbarians become raiders, most rogues become assassins, and most rangers become wardens. The other two base classes seemed to be much more even in their progression.
  18. Ditto. It would be nice to get a darkness bow for Jeaux.
  19. Jeaux unleashed a barrage of arrows at his opponents, dealing each of them a significant blow. The one in the top hat was already wavering after being assaulted by a broom. Jeaux wasn't sure how much harm a broom could really do to an individual. Even a magical floating broom was still not much more than a tool for cleaning. Jeaux retrieved another arrow from his quiver and prepared to fire it at the ghostly prisoner again. Jeaux attacks Ivan from the back row.
  20. Originally all 3 enemies were undead. You and Heckz would have been fine casting spells. I bought 3 Holy Bombs at the marketplace since I figured we'd be fighting undead, so those could have reduced all of the enemies by 30 HP. Zoltan could have still used sentinel to protect the party even if he couldn't damage the ghosts, and both he and Em could have thrown potions at the enemies to damage them if need be. It would have been a more difficult fight, but far from impossible.
  21. "It would appear the word of a ghost is about as solid as the ghost itself." Jeaux had gotten what he asked for, exorcising these spirits would be a far more permanent solution to the graveyard's problem. "I think it is about time these spirits were laid to rest" He brought Eminus to bear, an arrow aimed at Ivan. Jeaux attacks Ivan from the back row. OOC: Everyone remember you can only damage these enemies if you use an elemental attack or heal them. Nevermind
  22. "Two locations down, 3 more to go. I must admit, I would have preferred some loot a level more permanent solution to the ghost problem, than merely trusting them at their word, but at least we are one step closer to our ultimate goal. Shall we head back to the ghost trio we encountered earlier, or should we move on to the next location?" Jeaux was unsure at the moment what to think of their current leader. One minute she seemed to be a strong leader with a clear vision of where the party should venture, and the next she would behave with no logic or sensibility. There was obviously more to this dwarf than any first impression could impart, and after the message given to him by the mysterious feline from earlier, Jeaux would be hesitant to trust her any time soon.
  23. So far I've made all of my guesses using Eenie Meenie Miney Moe. That managed to find the first 2 ghosts behind 7 and 5, sadly the next one should be 3 which has already been eliminated.

  25. I thought Triple Shot would always do 3 attacks and double up (or triple up) if there were less than 3 opponents, or was this changed at some point?
